この発明は、水栓に関し、より詳細には、分岐栓、分岐止水栓または給水栓として使用される水栓に関する。

【従来の技術および発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の分岐栓として、一次側給水管接続口、二次側給水管接続口および分岐口を有する略T形管状の分岐栓本体と、分岐栓本体に設けられかつハンドルを有する分岐口開閉弁とを備えたものが知られている。

しかしながら、上記分岐栓の場合、分岐口が動かないので、例えばこれを壁に埋め込んで設置するときには分岐口が常時壁から突出することになり、邪魔になることがあった。また、分岐口の開閉を開閉弁のハンドル操作によって行う必要があり、面倒であった。

この発明は、上記の問題点に鑑みてなされたものであって、分岐口または吐水口が回動自在でしかも分岐口または吐水口を回動させることによって同口を開閉することのできる、嵩張らず使い勝手のよい水栓を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明による水栓は、
上下いずれか一端部に一次側給水管接続口が、同他端部に二次側給水管接続口が設けられ、かつ周壁に前方から左右いずれかの側方にかけて開口した連通孔が設けられている筒状水栓本体と、
連通孔を覆うように水栓本体に回動自在に嵌め被せられ、かつ周壁から外方に突出した分岐口を有する分岐口付き筒体と、
連通孔を通じて水栓本体内と分岐口内とにまたがって配置され、かつ水栓本体側の端部に上下両側に突出した2つの垂直軸部が設けられている弁棒と、
弁棒の分岐口側の端部に取り付けられた弁体と、
分岐口内に設けられた弁座と、
弁棒の水栓本体側の端部を上下両側から挟むように水栓本体内に配置固定され、かつ弁棒の上下各垂直軸部が挿入される分岐口開閉用カム孔および水流通用垂直貫通孔を有する上下1対の弁棒支持部材とを備え、
各弁棒支持部材のカム孔は、分岐口が前方に向けられたときに各垂直軸部が嵌まり込み、かつ弁体が弁座から離間させられるような位置に設けられている分岐口開放端と、分岐口が前記側方に向けられたときに各垂直軸部が嵌まり込み、かつ弁体が弁座に当接させられるような位置に設けられている分岐口閉鎖端とを備えたものである。

上記の水栓は、分岐栓として使用することができ、その分岐口を前方に向けることによって分岐口が開き、分岐口を前記側方に向けることによって分岐口が閉じる。したがって、この水栓を例えば壁に埋め込んで設置すれば、使用時、即ち分岐栓開放時には、分岐口が壁から前方に突出し、非使用時、即ち分岐栓閉鎖時には、分岐口が壁から突出しないようにすることができる。

この発明による水栓は、さらに、水栓本体の前側に配されたハンドルを有しかつ水栓本体内の流路を連通孔よりも一次側において開閉する開閉弁を備えている場合がある。

この発明による水栓は、さらに、分岐口が前記側方に向けられたときに同分岐口の一部が嵌まり込むように水栓本体に取り付けられた略C形の分岐口ストッパを備えている場合もある。

水栓が上記のような分岐口ストッパをさらに備えていれば、分岐口閉鎖状態から分岐口が不意に前方に回動して分岐口が開くことによって水栓付近の床面などが濡れるといったトラブルを回避することができる。なお、上記以外のストッパによって前記側方に向けられた分岐口を保持するようにしてもよい。また、分岐口が前方に向けられたときに同分岐口を保持するストッパを併せて備えるようにしてもよい。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、図面を参照して、この発明の実施形態を説明する。以下の説明において、前とは図3、6および9の各下をいい、後とは同各上をいうものとする。また、左右とは前から見た左右をいうものとする。

図1〜9には、この発明の第1の実施形態が示されている。この実施形態における水栓(1)は、埋込形分岐止水栓として使用されるものであって、図1〜7に示すように、下端部に一次側給水管接続口(2a)が、上端部に二次側給水管接続口(2b)が設けられ、かつ周壁に前方から右方にかけて開口した連通孔(2c)が設けられている筒状水栓本体(2)と、連通孔(2c)を覆うように水栓本体(2)に回動自在に嵌め被せられ、かつ周壁から外方に突出した分岐口(4)を有する分岐口(4)付き筒体(3)と、連通孔(2c)を通じて水栓本体(2)内と分岐口(4)内とにまたがって配置され、かつ水栓本体(2)側の端部に上下両側に突出した2つの垂直軸部(51)が設けられている弁棒(5)と、弁棒(5)の分岐口(4)側の端部に取り付けられた弁体(6)と、分岐口(4)内に設けられた弁座(7)と、弁棒(5)の水栓本体(2)側の端部を上下両側から挟むように水栓本体(2)内に配置固定され、かつ弁棒(5)の上下各垂直軸部(51)が挿入される分岐口開閉用カム孔(81)および水流通用垂直貫通孔(82)を有する上下1対の弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)とを備えている。各弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)のカム孔(81)は、分岐口(4)が前方に向けられたときに各垂直軸部(51)が嵌まり込み、かつ弁体(6)が弁座(7)から離間させられるような位置に設けられている分岐口開放端(81a)と、分岐口(4)が右方に向けられたときに各垂直軸部(51)が嵌まり込み、かつ弁体(6)が弁座(7)に当接させられるような位置に設けられている分岐口閉鎖端(81b)とを備えている。水栓(1)は、さらに、水栓本体(2)の前側に配されたハンドル(91)を有しかつ水栓本体(2)内の流路を連通孔よりも一次側において開閉する開閉弁(9)を備えている。また、水栓(1)は、分岐口(4)が右方に向けられたときに同分岐口(4)の一部が嵌まり込むように水栓本体(2)に取り付けられた略C形の分岐口ストッパ(10)も併せて備えている。

水栓本体(2)は、垂直筒状部材(21)、一次側給水管接続口部材(22)および二次側給水管接続口部材(23)により構成されている。垂直筒状部材(21)の下端部には雌ねじ(211)が設けられており、ここに、一次側給水管接続口部材(22)の上端部に設けられた雄ねじ(221)がねじ止められることにより、一次側給水管接続口(2a)が形成されている。垂直筒状部材(21)の下端部と一次側給水管接続口部材(22)との間は、Oリングよりなるガスケット(24)でシールされている。一次側給水管接続口部材(22)は、可撓性樹脂管よりなる一次側給水管(図示略)の先端部に挿入される下方突出筒状接続口部(222)と、接続口部(222)の周囲に設けられた雌ねじ付き筒状部(223)とを備えている。そして、一次側給水管の先端部に、管用締付リング(25)が嵌め被せられるとともに、下端部が上記リング(25)に係合する袋ナット(26)が回転自在に嵌め被せられ、袋ナット(26)が雄ねじ付き筒状部(223)にねじ止められることによって、一次側給水管が接続口(2a)に接続されるようになっている。

連通孔(2c)は、垂直筒状部材(21)の周壁の長さ中央よりもやや上方部分に設けられており、図7に示すように、横長の形をしている。水栓本体(2)における垂直筒状部材(21)の周壁外周面の上半部は、同下半部と比べて筒体(3)の厚みにほぼ相当する分だけ径が小さくなっており、この上半部に筒体(3)が嵌め被せられている。垂直筒状部材(21)の周壁外周面の上半部における連通孔(2c)の上下両側部分に環状溝(213)が形成され、これらの溝(213)にOリングよりなるパッキン(27)が嵌め込まれている。垂直筒状部材(21)の周壁外周面の上半部のうち上下2つの環状溝(213)どうしの間に位置する部分は、他の部分と比べてさらに径が小さくなされていて、筒体(3)との間に隙間ができるようになっている。

分岐口(4)は、筒体(3)の周壁から斜め上方に突出している。分岐口(4)の先端側部分には、雄ねじ(41)が設けられている。弁座(7)は、分岐口(4)の内周面における長さ中央部に設けられた環状内方突出部により構成されている。内方突出部における分岐口(4)先端側の側面は、分岐口(4)先端に向かって次第に外方に広がるテーパ面となされており、このテーパ面が弁体(6)と当接する弁座面(71)を構成している。

弁棒(5)は、図2、4および5に示すように、分岐口(4)に対応して斜めに配置されている。弁棒(5)における分岐口(4)側の端部寄り位置に環状外方突出部(52)が形成されており、この外方突出部(52)と分岐口(4)側の端部との間の部分にゴム製の貫通孔付き略球状弁体(6)が挿通されている。また、弁棒(5)における分岐口(4)側の端部に環状溝(53)が形成され、この溝(53)に略C形の弁体ストッパ(11)の一部が嵌め入れられることにより、弁体(6)が弁棒(5)から抜けないようになされている。弁棒(5)の上下2つの垂直軸部(51)は、この実施形態では1直線状に連なっており、断面円形をしている。

下側弁棒支持部材(8B)は、水栓本体(2)の垂直筒状部材(21)内における連通孔(2c)のやや下側部分に形成された環状段差(214)に受けられている。また、下側弁棒支持部材(8B)は、これの下面周縁部における前後部分から下方にのびる2つの脚部(83)を備えており、これらの脚部(83)が環状段差(214)の対応位置に形成された切欠き(215)に嵌め入れられることによって、回動不能となされている。上側弁棒支持部材(8A)は、これの下面周縁部における左斜め前部分および後部分から下方にのびる2つの脚部(84)を備えており、これらの脚部(84)が下側弁棒支持部材(8B)の上面周縁部における対応部分に形成された切欠き(85)に嵌め入れられることによって、下側弁棒支持部材(8B)の上に回動不能にかつ下側弁棒支持部材(8B)との間に弁棒(5)の水栓本体(2)側の端部が水平移動し得るだけの隙間ができるように配置されている。水栓本体(2)の垂直筒状部材(21)内における上側弁棒支持部材(8A)のすぐ上の部分に環状溝(216)が設けられ、この溝(216)に略C形の弁棒支持部材ストッパ(12)の一部が嵌め入れられることにより、両弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)の上方への移動が阻止されている。両弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)の対向面におけるカム孔(81)の外側縁部分は、それぞれ弁棒(5)の傾斜に対応した傾斜面となされている。両弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)のカム孔(81)は、同部材(8A)(8B)における周縁部の前部分から中心よりもやや右寄り部分にかけて形成された断面略円弧状の垂直貫通孔によって構成されている。そして、カム孔(81)の前端が前記分岐口開放端(81a)となされ、後端が前記分岐口閉鎖端(81b)となされている。なお、カム孔(81)は、両弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)の対向面に開口した有底孔で構成されていてもよい。図3および6に示すように、カム孔(81)における分岐口開放端(81a)に隣接する左右両側部分には、小さな突起(811)が形成されている。これらの突起(811)は、分岐口開放端(81a)に嵌まり込んだ弁棒(5)の垂直軸部(51)が後方に容易に移動しないようにするストッパの役目を果たしている。垂直軸部(51)を含む弁棒(5)および上下両弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)は、若干の弾性を有する合成樹脂から形成されており、分岐口(4)の回動に伴って弁棒(5)の垂直軸部(51)が両突起(811)を乗り越える際には、垂直軸部(51)および突起(811)がそれぞれ若干弾性変形するようになっている。なお、カム孔(81)における分岐口閉鎖端(81b)に隣接する左右両側部分にも、上記同様の突起を形成しておいてもよい。両弁棒支持部材(8A)(8B)の水流通用垂直貫通孔(82)は、同部材(8A)(8B)におけるカム孔(81)以外の部分に形成されかつ図3および6に示すような断面を有する長孔によって構成されている。なお、水流通用垂直貫通孔(82)は、複数あってもよい。また、カム孔(81)が垂直貫通状のものである場合には、カム孔(81)が水流通用垂直貫通孔を兼用するようにしても構わない。

開閉弁(9)は、この実施形態ではボール弁によって構成されている。具体的に言うと、開閉弁(9)は、水栓本体(2)の下部内に所定間隔をおいて配された上下1対の弁座(92)と、両弁座(92)どうしの間に回転可能に介在された水通過孔(931)付きボール(93)と、水栓本体(2)の垂直筒状部材(21)の下端部前部分に形成された挿通口(217)に挿通されかつボール(93)外面に形成された溝(932)に嵌まり込む係合凸部(941)を後端部に有する弁棒(94)と、弁棒(94)の前端部にネジ(95)で止められたハンドル(91)とよりなるものである。上側の弁座(92)は、垂直筒状部材(21)内の下端部に形成された環状切欠き(218)に嵌め込まれ、下側の弁座(92)は、一次側給水管接続口部材(22)の上端部に形成された環状切欠き(224)に嵌め込まれている。弁棒(94)と挿通口(217)との間にはOリングよりなる2つのパッキン(96)が介在されている。弁棒(94)の前部は断面方形となされており、同方形部分にハンドル回動範囲規制用リング(97)が回動不能に嵌め込まれている。上記リング(97)は、その周縁の一部に係合凸部(971)を有しており、この係合凸部(971)が、挿通口(217)の前端周縁部における上部分を除いた部分に形成された欠環状前方突出部(217a)の左右両端と接することにより、ハンドル(91)の回動範囲が90°に規制されるようになっている。ハンドル(91)は、略垂直円盤状のものであって、これの前面に1直径線上にのびる摘み部(911)を有しており、図1〜9に示すように摘み部(911)が垂直となる回動位置では、ボール(93)の水通過孔(931)が水栓本体(2)内と通じた開栓状態となり、摘み部(911)が水平となる回動位置(図示略)では、ボール(93)の水通過孔(931)が水栓本体(2)内と遮断された閉栓状態となるように、弁棒(94)に固定されている。

上記水栓(1)にあっては、開閉弁(9)が開いた状態では、一次側給水管からの水が、水栓本体(2)内の流路を通って二次側給水管へと流れるとともに、連通孔(2c)を介して分岐口(4)内に流れるようになっている。この状態において、図2および3に示すように、分岐口(4)が右方を向いているときには、弁体(6)が弁座(7)に当接した位置にあって、分岐口(4)は閉じられている。また、この際、弁棒(5)の垂直軸部(51)はカム孔(81)の分岐口閉鎖端(81b)に嵌め込まれており、分岐口(4)はこれの一部が分岐口ストッパ(10)に嵌まり込んでいる。次に、この状態から、図5および6に示すように、分岐口(4)が前方を向くようにこれを筒体(3)とともに回動させると、分岐口(4)の一部が分岐口ストッパ(10)から外れ、分岐口(4)内の弁座(7)のうち弁座面(71)以外の一部が弁棒(5)と接触して弁棒(5)が分岐口(4)ととともに回動させられる。この際、弁棒(5)の垂直軸部(51)は、カム孔(81)によって分岐口開放端(81a)へと案内される。そして、弁棒(5)の垂直軸部(51)がカム孔(81)の分岐口開放端(81a)に嵌まり込んだところ、即ち、分岐口(4)が前方を向いたところで分岐口(4)の回動は停止し、このとき、弁体(6)は弁座(7)から離間した位置にあって、分岐口(4)が開いており、分岐口(4)先端から水が吐出される。分岐口(4)を閉じる場合には、上記と逆の操作を行えばよい。一方、開閉弁(9)が閉じた状態では、一次側給水管からの水は、二次側給水管へも分岐口(4)内へも流れない。

【発明の効果】
この発明の水栓によれば、水栓本体に対して回動自在な筒体と一体に設けられた分岐口または吐水口が前方に向けられたときに同口が開き、左右いずれかの側方に向けられたときに同口が閉じるようになされているので、例えばこれを壁に埋め込んで設置した場合でも、分岐口または吐水口は非使用時には壁から突出しないため邪魔にならず、また、分岐口または吐水口の開閉を極めて簡単に行うことができて便利である。
