An object of the present invention is to provide a glittering powder paint composition capable of obtaining a coating film having both an unprecedented strong glitter and a strong stereoscopic effect.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to achieve the above object, the present invention employs a glittering powder paint composition containing a glass flake pigment and / or a metal-coated inorganic pigment as an essential component. Especially, this invention employ | adopted the glitter powder paint composition which contains a glass flake pigment and water-soluble resin as an essential component. In addition, the present invention employs a glittering powder paint composition comprising a metal-coated inorganic pigment and a water-soluble resin as essential components. The “metal-coated inorganic pigment” in the present invention is defined as a generic term for inorganic pigments coated with at least one of a metal and a metal oxide.
[0005]
Therefore, the glittering powder paint composition containing the above glass flake pigment has a higher surface smoothness and has a stronger glitter feeling and three-dimensionality than a powder paint composition using a conventional glitter pigment. A coating film having a feeling can be obtained.
[0006]
In addition, the glittering powder paint composition containing the above-mentioned metal-coated inorganic pigment is also more colored compared to conventional powder paint compositions using a glittering pigment because the inorganic pigment is colored by metal vapor deposition or the like. A handwriting or coating film having a strong glitter can be obtained.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
(Glass flake pigment)
The glass flake pigment used in the present invention has a structure in which flaky glass is coated with a metal or the like, and is defined as a pigment having a glittering feeling and a three-dimensional feeling. The glass flake pigment preferably has a coloring effect, exhibits a strong metallic luster, and has a hiding power. As an example, a glass flake pigment in which flaky glass is coated with a metal by an electroless plating method can be used. For example, trade names “Metashine REFSX-2015PS”, “Metashine REFSX-2025PS” and “Metashine REFSX-2040PS” manufactured by Toyo Aluminum Co., Ltd. coated with silver, and “Metashine RCFSX” manufactured by Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. -5480PS "," Metashine RCFSX-5230PS "," Metashine RCFSX-5150PS ", and" Metashine RCFSX-5090PS ".
[0008]
Moreover, the glass flake pigment by which flake shaped glass was coat | covered with the metal by sputtering method can also be used. For example, trade names “Crystal Color GF2125”, “Crystal Color GF2125-M”, “Crystal Color GF2140”, and “Crystal Color GF2140-M” manufactured by Toyo Aluminum Co., Ltd., coated with silver are available. In addition, there are trade names “Crystal Color GF2525”, “Crystal Color GF2525-M”, “Crystal Color GF2540”, and “Crystal Color GF2540-M” manufactured by the same company that are coated with nickel, chrome, and molybdenum. Also, the company's product name “Crystal Color GF250” coated with brass, the product name “Crystal Color GF1345” manufactured by the company coated with silver alloy, and the product name “Crystal Color GF1445” manufactured by Titanium. There is.
[0009]
In the present invention, the median diameter of the glass flake pigment is preferably 500 μm or less (preferably 5 to 100 μm). When the median diameter of the glass flake pigment is less than 5 μm, the above-mentioned pigment particles are too small, resulting in poor glitter, and when it exceeds 500 μm, the adhesiveness is lowered.
[0010]
The glass flake pigment in the present invention is preferably contained in an amount of 4 to 95% by weight, preferably 7 to 90% by weight, based on the total amount of the powder paint composition. When the glass flake pigment is less than 4% by weight based on the total amount of the powder paint composition, the coloring power is insufficient, and the glitter and stereoscopic effect are not sufficient. On the other hand, when the glass flake pigment exceeds 95% by weight with respect to the total amount of the powder paint, the adhesiveness is lowered. In addition, a glass flake pigment can be used 1 type or in mixture of 2 or more types. Further, the glass flake pigment can be used by mixing with a bright pigment such as a metal-coated inorganic pigment, an aluminum pigment, or a par pigment.
[0011]
(Metal-coated inorganic pigment)
The metal-coated inorganic pigment used in the present invention is configured as an inorganic pigment coated with a metal and / or metal oxide by, for example, metal deposition. As an example, aluminum coated with iron (III) oxide can be used. For example, trade names “Paliocrom Gold L2000”, “Paliocrom Gold L2002”, “Paliocrom Gold L2020”, “Paliocrom Gold L2022”, “Paliocrom Gold L2025”, and “Paliocrom Orange L2800” manufactured by BASF Corporation are available. In addition, mica coated with iron (III) oxide can be used. For example, there are trade names “Paliocrom Red Gold L2500” and “Paliocrom Red L4000” manufactured by BASF Corporation. Alternatively, aluminum-manganese-coated mica-like iron oxide (III) can be used. For example, there are trade names “Paliocrom Copper L3000” and “Paliocrom Copper L3001” manufactured by BASF Corporation. Further, mica coated with reduced titanium dioxide can be used. For example, there are trade names “Paliocrom Blue Silver L6000” and “Paliocrom Blue Silver L6001” manufactured by BASF Corporation. Also, mica coated with titanium dioxide can be used.
[0012]
The median diameter of the metal-coated inorganic pigment is also preferably 500 μm or less, particularly 5 to 100 μm, like the median diameter of the glass flake pigment. When the median diameter of the metal-coated inorganic pigment is less than 5 μm, the above-mentioned inorganic pigment particles are too small, resulting in poor glitter, and when it exceeds 500 μm, the adhesiveness is lowered.
[0013]
The blending amount of the metal-coated inorganic pigment is also preferably 4 to 95% by weight based on the total amount of the powder paint as in the case of the glass flake pigment. When the inorganic pigment is less than 4% by weight based on the total amount of the powder paint, the coloring power is insufficient, and the glitter and the three-dimensional effect are not sufficient. On the other hand, when the metal-coated inorganic pigment exceeds 95% by weight based on the total amount of the powder paint, the adhesiveness is lowered. The optimum blending amount is 7 to 90% by weight. The metal-coated inorganic pigment can be used alone or in combination of two or more. In addition, the metal-coated inorganic pigment can be used by mixing with a bright pigment such as a glass flake pigment, an aluminum pigment, or a par pigment.
[0014]
(Water-soluble resin)
As the water-soluble resin, those which are soluble in water and have a film-forming property are desirable. For example, known water-soluble resins such as gum arabic, dextrin, and carboxymethyl cellulose can be used.
[0015]
These water-soluble resins are preferably contained in an amount of 5 to 96% by weight based on the total amount of the powder paint composition. When the water-soluble resin is less than 5% by weight in the total amount of the powder paint composition, the adhesiveness is lowered. When the water-soluble resin exceeds 96.0% by weight in the total amount of the powder paint composition, the adhesive strength of the glass flake pigment is lowered, and the glitter and the three-dimensional effect are also lowered. The optimum blending amount of the water-soluble resin is 10 to 93% by weight although it slightly varies depending on the type of the water-soluble resin.
[0016]
(Coloring agent)
As the colorant, a pigment having a coloring effect is preferable. Specifically, inorganic pigments such as carbon black and titanium oxide, copper phthalocyanine pigment, selenium pigment, azo pigment, quinacridone pigment, anthraquinone pigment, dioxane pigment, indigo pigment, thioindigo pigment, perinone In addition to organic pigments such as pigments, perylene pigments, indolenone pigments, and azomethine pigments, fluorescent pigments, colored resin emulsions and the like can be mentioned. In the present invention, the pigments can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Further, the glass flake pigment of the present invention can be mixed with a glitter pigment such as an aluminum powder pigment or a pearl pigment. Metal-coated inorganic pigments can also be used with glass flake pigments.
[0017]
In the powder paint composition of the present invention, a colorant may not necessarily be contained. Even a powder paint composition that does not contain a colorant but contains a glass flake pigment can impart a strong glitter and a strong stereoscopic effect to the handwriting or coating film. Even a powder paint composition that does not contain a colorant but contains a metal-coated inorganic pigment can give a strong glitter to the coating film. However, each of the above powder paint compositions containing a colorant is very preferable in that a strong brightness corresponding to the hue or the like can be given to the coating film by the hue or the like of the colorant.
[0018]
In addition, it is preferable that the colorant is contained in an amount of 60% by weight or less, preferably 45% by weight or less in the total amount of the powder paint composition. When the colorant exceeds 60% by weight in the total amount of the powder paint composition, the glitter and stereoscopic effect are lowered.
[0019]
(Other additives)
In the present invention, various other known additives such as extender pigments, water, preservatives, wetting agents, surfactants and dispersants can be contained as required.
[0020]
【Example】
The raw materials are stirred with a pan roll mill or the like with the composition and blending amount (parts by weight) shown in Table 1. Moreover, it grind | pulverized with the grinder as needed and the powder paint of each Example and the comparative example was made. In addition, when adding an organic pigment, an extender, etc., after mixing raw materials other than a glass flake pigment well with a roll mill, a glass flake pigment is thrown in and it follows the said process.

The sense of glitter was evaluated by visual observation of the written state and evaluated as “◯” for those with strong glitter feeling, “Δ” for those with glitter feeling, and “x” for those without glitter feeling. Also, the three-dimensional effect was evaluated by visually observing the written state. Table 1 shows the results.
[0024]
(Adhesion test)
Using the paint according to the example and the comparative example, apply the paint to a certain thickness with a 0.2 mm film applicator on the drawing paper, and after drying for one day, place a high quality paper on the coated surface and transfer weight on it. (Diameter 30 mm, Weight 150 mm), draw at a speed of 15 cm / sec in the horizontal direction, with the weight applied in the horizontal direction, and check the color transfer to the fine paper and adhere according to the following criteria. Assess sex.
○: No transfer at all.
Δ: It is a ring and the color being transferred can be seen.
X: Completely dirty and transferred.
[0025]
From the table, the glittering powder paint composition of the present example can obtain an unprecedented unique coating film having a strong glittering feeling and a three-dimensional feeling that image a gemstone. In particular, the glitter powder paint composition containing 4 to 95% by weight of the glass flake pigment in the total amount of the powder paint composition has a strong glitter feeling and a three-dimensional feeling that image a jewel, and also prevents a decrease in adhesiveness. An unprecedented unique coating can be obtained.
[0026]
