【課題を解決するための手段】
縦形球樋を、筒状の縦形ケースと、前記縦形ケースの内部に設けられて上下方向に延びる中心棒と、中心棒の外側に固定された螺旋羽根とを備えた構成とするとともに、中心棒を縦形ケースに固定し、螺旋羽根を中心棒の外側にスクリューのように固定して、縦形ケースの内部に上下方向に延びる螺旋スロープを形成するようにしたので、螺旋スロープが球を上下方向に伸びる中心の周りを旋回するように誘導することができる。したがって、縦形球樋の横幅を小さく形成しても、球が螺旋スロープに沿って前後左右に蛇行を描いて貯蔵されるので、縦形球樋での球貯蔵量を多くすることができる。又、本発明にあっては、螺旋スロープが球を複列で運ぶように形成されれば、縦形球樋での球貯蔵量が飛躍的に多くなる。

図2にも示すように縦形ケース2の上部にはタンク11から供給される球Pを螺旋スロープ5に導入する球取入口6を備え、球取入口6ではタンク11の球排出口部15が縦形ケース2の外側より内側に挿入されて螺旋羽根4の上端部に球Pを平面視一列で滑らかに流すように連なる。縦形ケース2の下部には螺旋スロープ5から球払出装置12に球Pを導出する球排出口7を備え、球排出口7では螺旋羽根4の下端部が螺旋羽根4の上下間隔を上から下に行くに従って徐々に狭くなるように湾曲形成されて一個の球Pを通過し得る通路を形成するように絞られて球払出装置12の球取入口部16に球Pを滑らかに流すように連なる。上側の螺旋羽根4と下側の螺旋羽根4との間における上下間隔は二個以上の球Pが上下に並ぶ複列を成して上から下へ流れる寸法である。図2にも示すように螺旋羽根4と縦形ケース2との間の隙間8は一個の球Pの直径よりも小寸法である。
