Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention can acquire input position data for an input to a touch panel using a pen, a finger, and the like, and a coordinate input device and a coordinate for displaying the input position based on the acquired input position data It relates to the input method.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the conventional coordinate input device, generally, the sampling interval of the touch panel controller that detects the input position to the touch panel is determined in consideration of the processing speed on the main CPU side.
[0003]
FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a conventional coordinate input device.
[0004]
As shown in FIG. 7, in the conventional coordinate input device, the
[0005]
Further, even if the sampling interval is dynamically changed, it is performed with respect to the moving speed of the pen that performs input to the
[0006]
For example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 149461 discloses a technique of a pen input device having responsiveness to the movement of the pen input means without increasing the load of the position data processing means. This realizes a pen input device with good responsiveness by shortening the sampling interval when the pen moving speed is fast, and lengthening the sampling interval when the pen moving speed is slow.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional technology as described above, when there is an input to the touch panel, even if the load on the main CPU side is high, the position data is output from the touch panel controller side regardless of the load on the main CPU. For this reason, the load on the main CPU is further increased, which affects other processes performed by the main CPU.
[0008]
Further, in a system in which the clock frequency of the main CPU changes, the sampling interval is constant even if the clock frequency of the main CPU changes, so that when the clock frequency of the main CPU is low, the load on the main CPU is increased and the main CPU is loaded. If the CPU clock frequency is high, the sampling interval may be too long for the processing speed of the main CPU, and the performance as a whole may deteriorate.
[0009]
In addition, since the number of position data per unit time decreases when the sampling interval is increased, there is a disadvantage that the accuracy of the position data is deteriorated as a result when the sampling interval is increased.
[0010]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention not only suppresses an increase in useless load on the touch panel controller, but also suppresses an increase in useless load on the main CPU, so that the position data corresponding to the processing speed of the main CPU can be reduced. The purpose is to realize the processing.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A coordinate input device of the present invention is a coordinate input device that has a touch panel, performs processing based on position data indicating an input position of the touch panel, and displays the processing result on a display screen. Detection means for detecting, output means for outputting the input position detected by the detection means as position data, processing means for receiving the position data output by the output means and processing the position data, and the processing means Detection interval determination means for determining a detection interval for detecting the input position of the touch panel in the detection means according to a processing interval of position data in the detection means, wherein the detection means is a detection interval determined by the detection interval determination means Based on the above, the input position of the touch panel is detected.
[0012]
Further, the detection interval determining means measures the processing interval of the position data in the processing means for a certain period, and uses the average value of the processing intervals measured for the certain period as the detection interval.
[0013]
With the above configuration, the coordinate input device according to the present invention increases the processing interval of the position data when the load on the processing means (for example, the CPU) becomes high, thereby increasing the detection interval of the input position of the touch panel. Therefore, an increase in the load on the processing means can be suppressed.
[0014]
The coordinate input device of the present invention is a coordinate input device that includes a touch panel, performs processing based on position data indicating an input position of the touch panel, and displays the processing result on a display screen. Detection means for detecting a position; output means for outputting the input position detected by the detection means as position data; processing means for receiving the position data output by the output means and processing the position data; and A detection interval determining unit that determines a detection interval for detecting the input position of the touch panel in the detection unit according to a change in clock frequency in the input unit, and the detection unit detects the detection determined by the detection interval determination unit The input position of the touch panel is detected based on the interval.
[0015]
With the above configuration, when the clock frequency of the processing means (for example, CPU) becomes low, the detection interval of the input position of the touch panel can be lengthened, thereby realizing data processing suitable for the processing speed of the input means. can do.
[0016]
The coordinate input device of the present invention is a coordinate input device that includes a touch panel, performs processing based on position data indicating an input position of the touch panel, and displays the processing result on a display screen. Detection means for detecting a position; output means for outputting the input position detected by the detection means as position data; processing means for receiving the position data output by the output means and processing the position data; and According to the processing interval of the position data in the processing means, the detection means detects between the output interval determining means for determining the output interval for outputting the position data in the output means and the output interval determined by the output interval determining means. Averaging means for averaging a plurality of input positions, wherein the output means is based on the output interval determined by the output interval determination means. Means is and outputs as position data input position averaging.
[0017]
With the above configuration, even when a plurality of input positions to be detected are held when the output interval of the input data becomes long, the accuracy of the position data can be improved by averaging the input positions.
[0018]
The coordinate input method of the present invention includes a touch panel, performs processing based on position data indicating the input position of the touch panel, and displays the processing result on a display screen. A detection step for detecting, an output step for outputting the input position detected in the detection step as position data, a processing step for receiving the position data output by the output step and processing the position data, and the processing step A detection interval determination step for determining a detection interval for detecting the input position of the touch panel in the detection step according to a processing interval of position data in the detection step, wherein the detection step is a detection determined in the detection interval determination step. The input position of the touch panel is detected based on the interval. .
[0019]
With the above method, the coordinate input method of the present invention increases the processing interval of the position data when the load on the processing means (for example, CPU) becomes high, thereby increasing the detection interval of the input position of the touch panel. Therefore, an increase in the load on the processing means can be suppressed.

[0055]
As described above, the coordinate input device and the coordinate input method of the present invention can increase the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side when the load on the main CPU side is high, and the data transmission interval from the touch panel controller side. As a result, an increase in the load on the main CPU side can be suppressed, and the processing of the main CPU can be stabilized. Further, since the main CPU does not discard the position data received from the touch panel controller, the main CPU side eliminates useless data reception processing, and the touch panel controller side eliminates useless sampling processing.
[0056]
Conversely, when the load on the main CPU side is low, the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side can be shortened, so that it is possible to prevent the position data from being missed.
[0057]
As a second embodiment of the coordinate input device of the present invention, a case where the sampling interval is changed in response to a change in the clock frequency of the main CPU will be described. In this case, instead of the data processing interval detection means 34 of the
[0058]
FIG. 5 is an example of a table defining sampling intervals corresponding to the CPU clock frequency. In the coordinate input device of the second embodiment, the sampling interval determination means 35 responds to the change in the clock frequency of the main CPU based on the table of FIG. 5 and the clock frequency of the main CPU acquired by the main CPU clock frequency acquisition means. Determine the new sampling interval.
[0059]
Thereby, even when the clock frequency of the main CPU changes, the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side can be changed according to the clock frequency of the main CPU. Therefore, when the number of clocks of the main CPU is low, the touch panel controller The sampling interval on the side can be lengthened and the data transmission interval from the touch panel controller side can be lengthened. As a result, an increase in the load on the main CPU side can be suppressed, and the processing of the main CPU can be reduced. It can be stabilized. Further, since the main CPU does not discard the position data received from the touch panel controller, the main CPU side eliminates useless data reception processing, and the touch panel controller side eliminates useless sampling processing.
[0060]
On the other hand, when the clock frequency on the main CPU side is low, the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side can be shortened, so that position data can be prevented from being missed.

In FIG. 6, the data transmission interval determination means 36 is arranged such that the data transmission control means is located at the data reception processing means 41 based on the interval of the notification signal transmitted from the data processing means 43 detected by the data processing interval detection means 34. The transmission interval for transmitting data is determined.
[0064]
The
[0065]
As a result, the position data can be transmitted to the main CPU at different transmission intervals according to the processing state of the main CPU while the sampling interval is fixed, so even if the position data transmission interval to the main CPU side becomes long. Since the sampling interval remains constant, the accuracy of the display position of the input coordinates can be improved.
【The invention's effect】
By the above invention, in the coordinate input device and the coordinate input method of the present invention, when the load on the main CPU side is high, the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side can be lengthened, and the data transmission interval from the touch panel controller side can be increased. Since it can be made longer, as a result, an increase in the load on the main CPU side can be suppressed, and the processing of the main CPU can be stabilized. Further, since the main CPU does not discard the position data received from the touch panel controller, the main CPU side eliminates useless data reception processing, and the touch panel controller side eliminates useless sampling processing.
[0067]
Conversely, when the load on the main CPU side is low, the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side can be shortened, so that it is possible to prevent the position data from being missed.
[0068]
Even when the clock frequency of the main CPU changes, the sampling interval on the touch panel controller side can be changed according to the clock frequency of the main CPU, so that the same effect as described above can be obtained.
[0069]
Further, in the coordinate input device of the present invention, even if the data transmission interval to the main CPU side becomes long, the sampling interval remains short, so that position data averaged by a plurality of samplings can be transmitted to the main CPU. As a result, the accuracy of the display position of the input coordinates can be improved.
