本発明の実施形態に係るバックライトユニットについて図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
本発明の一実施形態に係るバックライトユニットの駆動方法について図4および先に説明した図1を参照して詳細に説明する。

Claims (10)
- 光を発生する1つ以上の白色LEDと、
前記白色LEDを支持して駆動する印刷回路基板を有するLEDモジュールと、
前記白色LEDの色温度を検出するセンサと、
前記LEDモジュールに接続されている発熱素子と、
前記センサと前記LEDモジュールおよび前記発熱素子を制御するためのコントローラと、を含むバックライトユニット。 - 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュールと一体に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュール内の、前記白色LEDと接触しない領域に形成された電熱線であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュールと分離して形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュール上の、前記白色LEDと接触しない領域に形成された電熱板であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 白色LEDとこれを支持するLEDモジュールおよび前記LEDモジュールに接続された発熱素子を含むバックライトユニットの駆動方法であって、
前記白色LEDの定常状態の色温度を設定するステップと、
前記バックライトユニットを動作させると同時に前記発熱素子を動作させるステップと、
前記白色LEDの色温度を測定するステップと、
測定した前記白色LEDの色温度と、設定した前記白色LEDの定常状態の色温度を比較するステップと、
比較の結果、測定した前記白色LEDの色温度と、設定した前記白色LEDの定常状態の色温度とが同一となった時に、前記発熱素子の動作を停止させるステップと、を含むことを特徴とするバックライトユニットの駆動方法。 - 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュールと一体に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のバックライトユニットの駆動方法。
- 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュール内の、前記白色LEDと接触しない領域に形成された電熱線であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のバックライトユニットの駆動方法。
- 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュールと分離して形成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のバックライトユニットの駆動方法。
- 前記発熱素子は、前記LEDモジュール上の、前記白色LEDと接触しない領域に形成された電熱板であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバックライトユニットの駆動方法。
