Description
Claims (14)
- カッティング装置であって、
カテーテルと、
軸線を画定する長尺状のバルーンであって、前記カテーテルに装着されて、膨張された構成と収縮された構成をとりうるバルーンと、
近位端部分、遠位端部分、及び刃先を有する直線状かつ長尺状の刃であって、前記遠位端部分が、前記刃を前記バルーンの軸線と同一平面上に配向させるように前記バルーンに取り付けられた刃と、
前記バルーンに連通し、前記バルーンをその膨張された構成に膨張させる手段とを備え、
前記バルーンの収縮時に、前記バルーンに取り付けられた前記刃は前記バルーンの軸線と平行に配置され、かつ、
前記バルーンの膨張時に、前記バルーンに取り付けられた前記刃は、前記バルーンの軸線と刃との間の間隔を近位方向に沿って拡大するように相対的に傾斜されることにより、前記刃の近位端部分が前記バルーンの軸線から半径方向に突出するように前記バルーンから分離され、前記バルーンが対象物に対して相対的に遠位方向に移動される際に前記刃の近位端部分の刃先が対象物を切るように構成されたカッティング装置。 - 前記カテーテルを患者の血管系を通して前進させて、血管系の所定部位で組織を切るように、前記バルーンを位置決めするための案内線をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカッティング装置。
- 血管系の所定部位が心臓の左心室と大動脈の間の弁である、請求項2に記載のカッティング装置。
- 前記バルーンが遠位端部と近位端部を有し、その膨張された構成で、前記バルーンが、
近位方向に半径が拡大するテーパを有する円錐形状の遠位セクションと、
近位方向に半径が減少するテーパを有する円錐形状の近位セクションと、
前記遠位セクションと前記近位セクションの間に位置する円筒形状の中間セクションとをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカッティング装置。 - 前記刃が前記バルーンの前記遠位セクションに取り付けられ、前記刃の遠位端部が前記バルーンの遠位端部に隣接する、請求項4に記載のカッティング装置。
- 軸線に対する前記刃の相対的な傾斜が、前記バルーンの前記遠位セクションのテーパによって規定され、前記バルーンがその収縮された構成にある時のゼロ度から、前記バルーンがその膨張された構成にある時の45度の範囲(0°〜45°)にある、請求項5に記載のカッティング装置。
- 複数の前記刃をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカッティング装置。
- 前記バルーンがポリエチレン・ナフタレート(PEN)で作られる、請求項1に記載のカッティング装置。
- 前記バルーンがその収縮された構成にある時、前記バルーンが前記刃を覆う、請求項1に記載のカッティング装置。
- 前記バルーンが造影剤で膨張される、請求項1に記載のカッティング装置。
- 狭窄の切開装置であって、
近位端部分、遠位端部分、及び少なくとも前記近位端部分に刃先を有する直線状かつ長尺状の刃と、
軸線を画定し、かつ、膨張された構成と収縮された構成とをとりうるバルーンであって、前記刃が前記軸線と同一平面上に配向するように前記刃の遠位端部分が取り付けられたバルーンと、
前記バルーンに装着され、前記刃を狭窄に近位の場所で位置決めするために、前記刃を、近位方向に所定経路に沿って患者の血管系内に前進させるカテーテルと、
前記バルーンに連通し、前記バルーンをその膨張された構成に膨張させる手段とを備え、
前記バルーンの収縮時に、前記バルーンに取り付けられた前記刃は前記バルーンの軸線と平行に配置され、かつ、
前記バルーンの膨張時に、前記バルーンに取り付けられた前記刃は、前記バルーンの軸線と刃との間の間隔を近位方向に沿って拡大するように相対的に傾斜されることにより、前記刃の近位端部分が前記バルーンから分離されて、前記バルーンを遠位方向に前記経路に沿って引き込ませる際に前記刃の近位端部分の刃先が狭窄を切開するように構成された切開装置。 - 前記バルーンが遠位端部と近位端部を有し、前記バルーンはその膨張時に、
近位方向に半径が拡大するテーパを有する円錐形状の遠位セクションと、
近位方向に半径が減少するテーパを有する円錐形状の近位セクションと、
遠位セクションと近位セクションの間に位置する円筒形状の中間セクションとをさらに備える、請求項11に記載の切開装置。 - 前記刃がバルーンの遠位セクションに取り付けられ、前記刃の遠位端部がバルーンの遠位端部に隣接する、請求項12に記載の切開装置。
- 前記刃の経路に対する相対的な傾斜が、前記バルーンの遠位セクションのテーパによって規定され、ゼロ度から45度の範囲にある、請求項13に記載の切開装置。
