Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a putter head of a golf club.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, there have been two types of putter heads, one that has been machined out of an ingot and one that has been cast. In the case of a cut-out putter, an NC processing machine (computer-controlled milling machine) is used for cutting and extremely precise machining is performed, so that the distortion of the face surface is extremely small, and the position of the shaft and the face surface is reduced. The hosel that influences the relationship can be formed with high accuracy. In the case of a cast putter, the processing time is short, and it has been considered suitable for mass production of popular type putters.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, in the machined putter, the accuracy is extremely high, but there is a drawback that the processing man-hour is large and it becomes an expensive putter. On the other hand, in the case of a cast putter, it is suitable for mass production of a popular type putter, There was a problem that it was difficult to make a precise shape. Moreover, in recent years, in order to improve the hit feeling and soft hitting (putting), the insert made of a soft thin plate is fitted to the face surface, or the hosel shape and volume are strictly set, and the heel part in the head Since it has become common to adjust the amount of inertia moment, it has been demanded to provide a large amount of putters with high precision shapes for general players.
[0004]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a putter head that can be machined with high precision and low machining man-hours.
[0005]
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a head body by joining a front portion including a shaft mounting portion that forms a hosel with a face surface that hits a ball and a rear portion behind the face surface. The front part is formed by cutting a forged material with the same volume enough to cut out the face surface and the hosel, and the smoothness, loft angle, wall thickness, face surface of the face surface when cutting the front part The hosel's bent shape and its length, which determine the attitude of the shaft with respect to, are formed by cutting out with high precision, the rear part is cast and formed , and an elastic sheet material is interposed between the front part and the rear part one in which the.
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
[0007]
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, a head body 1 is configured by joining a front portion 10 having a face surface 2 for hitting a ball and including a shaft mounting portion 3 and a rear portion 11 behind the face surface 2. Yes. The front portion 10 is formed by cutting an L-shaped ingot 20. The rear portion 11 is formed by casting.
[0008]
The ingot 20 is an L-shaped forged ingot made of carbon steel (S20C), and the front portion 10 is cut out by an NC machine tool. On the heel 4 side of the front portion 10, a bent relatively long hosel (shaft mounting portion 3) is cut, and the front surface when viewed from the front indicated by an arrow is the face surface 2, and a rectangular shape is formed at the center portion thereof. The concave portion 5 is cut and a flat elastic body (urethane rubber) (not shown) having a thickness of 2 m / m is tightly fitted thereto.
[0009]
The cast rear part 11 disposed behind the front part 10 is made by melting and casting carbon steel by a conventional method, and the volume of the central part is eliminated, and the weight on the heel 4 side and the toe 6 side is increased. The shape is unevenly distributed.
[0010]
An elastic sheet material 12 made of urethane rubber having a thickness of 0.75 mm is interposed between the cut front portion 10 and the cast rear portion 11 in order to improve the hit feeling. The elastic sheet material 12 has a thickness of 0.1 to 1.5 mm, preferably 0.5 to 1.0 mm.
[0011]
Thus, the front portion 10, the rear portion 11 and the elastic sheet material 12 are drilled on the heel 4 side and the toe 6 side of the front portion 10 through holes 12 </ b> A which are penetrated at both ends of the elastic sheet material 12. A pair of pins 13 projecting on the heel 4 side and the toe 6 side of the rear portion 11 is press-fitted into the pair of elongated holes 10A after being applied with an adhesive (epoxy resin system). It is united by doing.
[0012]
Here, a heavy (specific gravity 17-20) tungsten alloy is used as the material of the pin 13, and it functions as a weight adjusting material for the heel 4 and the toe 6 of the head, thereby contributing to an increase in the moment of inertia of these parts. ing.
[0013]
As the material of the front portion 10, forging materials such as aluminum alloy, duralumin, titanium, titanium alloy, copper alloy, etc. can be used in addition to the carbon steel of the above embodiment. Further, as the material of the rear part 11 to be cast, the same material as that of the front part 10 to be cut can be used, and stainless steel can also be used.
[0014]
In addition to the above-mentioned means, the joining means for the front part 10 and the rear part 11 may be various types of joints obtained by combining a commercially available appropriate adhesive with known means such as screwing, pinning, and pigeon groove fitting. Done by the method.
[0015]
In addition, although the hosel of predetermined length was formed as the shaft mounting part 3, you may make it open a hole in the part of the rectangular cube in which the face surface 2 is formed, and to penetrate this hole.
[0016]
A putter head according to the present invention comprises a face surface for hitting a ball, and a head portion including a shaft mounting portion forming a hosel and a rear portion behind the face surface are joined to form a head body, The front part is formed by cutting a forged material with the same volume enough to cut the surface and hosel, and the face surface smoothness, loft angle, wall thickness, and shaft orientation with respect to the face surface when cutting the front part. The hosel's bent shape and its length are determined by cutting out with high precision, the rear part is formed by casting , and an elastic sheet material is interposed between the front part and the rear part. is there. Therefore, in the cutting part (front part), the shape of the face surface that directly controls the direction and strength of the hit ball at the time of putting, that is, the smoothness of the surface, the loft angle, the thickness, or the face insert is performed. In some cases, the shape of the recessed part that houses the insert, the bent shape and length of the hosel that determines the orientation of the shaft relative to the face surface, and the volume of the shaft mounting part that affects the moment of inertia of the heel part are NC processed. It can be processed and formed with extremely high accuracy by a machine. Furthermore, the size of the ingot, which is the material of the above-described cutting process, has no rear part, so a small object whose volume is approximately half or less than the conventional one is sufficient. The manufacturing cost can be reduced by reducing the number. In addition, since the cast processing part is molded separately and does not include the hosel that constitutes the face surface and the shaft mounting part that require precision, the degree of freedom of the shape that can be cast is widened and the processing is extremely easy. Become. Further, when the hosel shape is to be machined with high accuracy, the material of the hosel and the face surface are different in the conventional casting head, but in the club head according to the present invention, the face surface and the hosel are different. Since the same material is used, the hit feeling at the time of putting is accurately transmitted to the player's hand, making it easy to control the strength of the putting.
