The present invention relates to a mounting structure for a protective cap for a modular jack, which includes a terminal plate having a pressure contact slit and is configured to push and connect an electric wire, which is an insulation coated electric wire, into the pressure contact slit of the terminal plate.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a twisted pair cable in which a plurality of pairs of twisted pair wires are housed in a sheath has been widely used as an information communication cable, and a modular jack having a terminal block for connecting the twisted pair cable is provided. As this type of terminal block, a terminal block provided with a terminal plate having a pressure contact slit (referred to as a 110 block type) is known. The terminal plate is formed in a fork shape having a press-contact slit opened at one peripheral edge. When each electric wire constituting the twisted pair cable is press-fitted into the press-contact slit, the insulation coating of the electric wire is formed at the peripheral edge of the press-contact slit. The core wire is pressed against the periphery of the press contact slit.
[0003]
By the way, in this kind of modular jack, an electric wire may come off from a terminal board by the handling of the twisted pair cable after connecting an electric wire to each terminal board. For example, in a modular jack having a structure in which a terminal plate is disposed on both sides of a terminal block and an electric wire connected to each terminal plate is disposed in a portion between both sides, the jack main body A ′ has a structure as shown in FIG. When a force that rotates the
[0004]
In addition, in order to prevent the electric wire from being disconnected after the electric wire is connected to the terminal plate, a modular jack in which a protective cap having a plurality of stopper pieces for pressing the electric wire press-fitted into the press-contact slit is coupled to the terminal block has also been proposed. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1). Here, the protective cap in

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, if the coupling force between the protective cap and the terminal block is increased so that the electric wire does not come off from the terminal plate, a relatively large force is required when removing the protective cap from the terminal block during construction or re-construction. That is, there is a conflict between the need to increase the coupling force of the protective cap to the jack body and the ease of removing the protective cap from the jack body. Here, in the mounting structure of the protective cap in the above-mentioned
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above reasons, and an object of the present invention is to make it easy to attach and detach the protective cap to and from the jack body and to prevent the electric wire from being pulled out along the pressure contact slit of the terminal plate. An object of the present invention is to provide a mounting structure for a jack protective cap.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, there are provided a plurality of contacts that can be contacted with the contact of the modular plug inserted from the plug insertion port, and an electric wire that is electrically connected to each contact and that is an insulated coated electric wire of the twisted pair cable. A plurality of terminal boards having press-fit slits that are press-fitted from the direction and connectedIs both left and rightSmell on the sideAre held between protective walls aligned in the front-rear direction, and the press-fit direction of the electric wires is aligned, and the thickness direction of the terminal board is aligned in the left-right directionJack and each terminal board on the jack bodyBetween the protected walls and the protective wallsAnd a protective cap that is coupled to the jack body from the one direction so as to cover all the portions where the electric wires connected to each terminal board and each terminal board are disposed, and is detachably coupled to the jack body, Jack bodyOf the left and right side surfaces of the protective wall projecting from a portion constituted by the side surface of the protective wall located in the middle of the front-rear directionThe main body of the jackBoth left and rightThe protective cap is coupled to the jack body by concave and convex engagement with the coupling holes formed in the coupling pieces arranged along the respective side surfaces. In addition, in each gap between the pair of adjacent protective walls in the front-rear direction, a termination portion is introduced that pushes the electric wire into the press-fitting slit of each terminal plate protruding from the protective cap,Each coupling protrusion of the jack body is formed with a guide surface that is inclined so as to reduce the amount of protrusion from the side toward the protective cap side. Disengagement pieces that release the uneven engagement between the coupling holes and the coupling protrusions by being displaced away from the side surfaces are provided integrally with each coupling piece. In addition, the left and right side surfaces of the cap body are formed with notches for securing the movement range of the release piece at portions corresponding to the release piece. The protective cap is formed on both side surfaces of the protective cap and adjacent to each of the release pieces with inclined surfaces that are inclined so as to reduce the width of the protective cap as the distance from the jack body increases. [0009]
According to the present invention, since each guide protrusion of the jack body is formed with a guide surface that is inclined so as to reduce the amount of protrusion from the side surface toward the protective cap side, the protection cap is protected when it is connected to the jack body. Since the coupling hole of the coupling piece of the protective cap and the coupling protrusion of the jack body can be engaged with each other by simply applying a relatively small force so that the cap is brought closer to the jack body from the one direction, the protective cap is connected to the jack. It can be easily attached to the main body, and when the protective cap is attached to the jack main body, even if a force is applied to move the protective cap away from the jack main body, the coupling protrusion is applied to the inner peripheral surface of the coupling hole. Can prevent the protective cap from coming off the jack body.In addition, since each of the gaps between the pair of adjacent protective walls in the front-rear direction is provided with a termination portion that protrudes from the protective cap and pushes the electric wire into the press-fit slit of each terminal plate,Each wire can be prevented from coming out along the pressure contact slit by handling the twisted pair cable with the wires connected to each terminal board. Disengagement pieces that release the concave and convex engagement between the coupling hole and the coupling projection by displacing the piece away from the side surface of the jack body are provided integrally with each coupling piece. In addition, a cutout portion that secures the movement range of the release piece is formed in a portion corresponding to the release piece on both the left and right side surfaces of the cap body. Therefore, when removing the protective cap from the jack body, the concave and convex engagement between the coupling hole and the coupling protrusion can be released by operating the release piece provided on the protective cap. The protective cap can be removed from the jack body by applying a force in the direction of pulling the protective cap away from the jack body in the state where the concave-convex engagement is released, and the work of removing the protective cap from the jack body is facilitated. Further, according to the present invention, the sloped surfaces that are inclined so as to reduce the width of the protective cap as the distance from the jack main body is reduced on each side of the protective cap that is located on both sides of the release piece. Since it is formed, the release pieces can be pushed even if both sides of the protective cap are pushed with the entire finger when the release pieces are operated so as to approach each other, and therefore the release pieces can be easily operated. According to the present invention, the protective cap isThe wall of the portion corresponding to the notch in the cap bodyRestrict movement range of release pieceBecause it constitutes a wallThe protective cap can be prevented from being damaged due to excessive movement of each release piece.

[0011]
Since it is formed, the release piece can be pushed even if both sides of the protective cap are pushed with the entire finger when operating the release pieces in a direction to bring them closer to each other, so that the release piece can be easily operated. Further, according to the present invention, since the unevenness for preventing slipping when operating with the finger on the operation surface of the release piece is provided, it is possible to prevent the finger from slipping when operating the release piece, Easier to remove the protective cap from the jack body.

【The invention's effect】
Claim1, 2In the invention, since each guide projection of the jack body is formed with a guide surface that is inclined so as to reduce the amount of protrusion from the side toward the protective cap side, the protective cap is attached when the protective cap is connected to the jack body. Since the coupling hole of the coupling piece of the protective cap and the coupling projection of the jack body can be unevenly engaged only by applying a relatively small force so as to approach the jack body from the one direction, the protective cap is attached to the jack body. It has the effect that it can be easily attached, and when the protective cap is attached to the jack body, even if a force is applied to the protective cap away from the jack body, the coupling protrusion on the inner peripheral surface of the coupling hole Prevents the protective cap from coming off the jack body.In addition, since each of the gaps between the pair of adjacent protective walls in the front-rear direction is provided with a termination portion that protrudes from the protective cap and pushes the electric wire into the press-fit slit of each terminal plate,With the effect that it is possible to prevent the wires from coming out along the pressure contact slits by handling the twisted pair cable while the wires are connected to each terminal plate, and the protective caps are operated so as to approach each other. Accordingly, each coupling piece is integrally provided with a release piece that displaces each coupling piece away from the side surface of the jack body and releases the concave-convex engagement between the coupling hole and the coupling protrusion. The effect that the protective cap can be removed from the jack body by applying a force in the direction of pulling the protective cap away from the jack body with the uneven engagement released, and the work of removing the protective cap from the jack body is facilitated. is there. Claims1, 2In the invention, the inclined surfaces that are inclined so as to reduce the width dimension of the protective cap as the distance from the jack body is formed on both side surfaces of the protective cap and adjacent to each of the release pieces. Therefore, when the release pieces are operated so as to approach each other, the release pieces can be pushed even if both sides of the protective cap are pushed with the entire finger, so that the release pieces can be easily operated. AlsoOf claim 1According to the invention, the protective cap isThe wall of the portion corresponding to the notch in the cap bodyRestrict movement range of release pieceMake up the wallTherefore, there is an effect that it is possible to prevent breakage of the protective cap due to excessive movement of each release piece..
