Description
The present invention relates to forgery detection in an iris authentication system.
However, in the conventional iris authentication system, there is a problem that it is possible to impersonate another person or make it indistinguishable from another person by authenticating using a photograph, printed matter, or artificial eye. And it was in a state where fraudulent transactions that abused this point could easily be made.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a system for completely preventing transactions due to unauthorized authentication in the iris authentication system.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention is an iris authentication system for confirming a person based on an image feature of an iris, and randomly moving a person's line of sight by moving a mark displayed on a display at random before photographing the iris. The line-of-sight random guiding means for guiding the line-of-sight, the line-of-sight motion validity determining means for determining whether the line-of-sight movement by the means is in line with the trajectory of the mark, and the means Photographing object validity judging means for judging whether or not the object to be processed is a legitimate eyeball, and when the object is other than the eyeball, photographing as authentication data is not performed by the means. It was characterized by that.
The guidance means includes guidance by voice announcement.
In order to enhance the security effect, when the above-mentioned means determines that the object to be photographed is nothing but the eyeball, the first storage means for photographing the iris, converting it to the iris code and storing it in the storage unit And the second means for repeating the above means again, converting the iris image into an iris code and storing it in the storage unit, and means for collating the two stored iris codes, if the verification result in failed, and characterized in that determines that the iris code is changed to a living body if the eye is different illegal prepared by check.
Due to the configuration of gaze random guidance means, gaze movement legitimacy judgment means by gaze tracking method, etc., it is impossible to authenticate with unauthorized things such as photographs, printed matter, artificial eyes, that is, those that are not real eyeballs. It is possible to prevent fraud such as “spoofing” with something other than the eyeball.
In addition, since it was possible to authenticate only when the image was taken twice and the iris code was collated and collated, it was judged that only the line-of-sight movement was valid with the real eyeball (of course, of the unauthorized person) Thereafter, even if an attempt is made to authenticate a photograph, printed matter, artificial eye, etc., the authentication process is not performed unless the two photographing results coincide with each other. Therefore, the above-described complicated fraud can be surely prevented.
Embodiments of an iris authentication system according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a system configuration diagram (example) of the present invention. FIG. 1 shows a configuration example of an iris authentication system for performing a certain business application that requires personal authentication.
In the figure, an iris photographing apparatus 1 photographs the iris of a person looking through a peephole (hereinafter referred to as a user), and guides the user's eyeball to move randomly before photographing to track the line of sight. According to the law, it is confirmed that it is a human eyeball, not a fraud such as a photograph, a printed matter, or a prosthetic eye, and photographing is performed on that. Here, the line-of-sight tracking method is a principle generally called as such and detects the line-of-sight direction of the eyeball. The details will be explained later, but when looking through the peephole, it is detected whether the line of sight of the eyeball that has been moved by the guidance that the user moves the eyeball at random moves as if it corresponds to the guidance means. And it is definitely to check that it is a legitimate photographed object, that is, a human eyeball.
Next, the iris code collation device 2 is determined to be a legitimate eyeball by the iris photographing device 1, converts the photographed user's iris image into a unique code, and is specified in advance in order to perform work requiring personal authentication. The business AP registration iris code database 3 in which the user's iris codes are stored is accessed, and the user's personal authentication is performed. Although the business application device 4 is not directly related to the present invention, the business application device 4 performs some business application when the present invention is implemented and personal authentication is successful.
Next, FIG. 2 is a functional block diagram of each device according to the present invention, in which functions of the device described in FIG. 1 are further described in detail.
In FIG. 2, first, the iris photographing apparatus 1 includes a peeping unit 11 for a user to take a picture of an iris image, and a near-infrared illumination unit 12 for emitting a near-infrared light for better imaging of the iris.
The hot mirror 14 is a mirror that is vapor-deposited that reflects infrared light and transmits visible light. Therefore, when near-infrared illumination is used, the iris image reflects off the mirror, and only the iris image can be taken by the CCD camera 13. Before the photographing, the
The iris code collation device 2 converts the photographed iris image into a code, and the collation unit 22 performs final personal authentication as to whether it is valid for an arbitrary application job. From this point on, it has nothing to do with the invention part of the present application, and the description is omitted regardless of which business application is used.
<Operation of Example 1>
Based on the configuration described above, the operation flow of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
S11: When the user looks inside the viewing section 11 of the iris photographing apparatus 1, a mark (for example, as shown in FIG. 3) that is randomly moved by the guidance mark
S12: The user follows the randomly moving mark with his gaze. (It is thought that the movement of the mark will be chased only by seeing the mark moving at random, but it is better if there is an appropriate guidance such as “Please watch the movement of the mark” in the voice part not shown here. In some cases.)
S13: The line-of-sight tracking unit 18 compares the movement of the mark with the movement of the line of sight of the user by the line-of-sight tracking method.
S14: If the result of the comparison processing in S13 is a mismatch, it is determined that there is a possibility that the image is illegal, such as a photograph, printed matter, or artificial eye, and the processing ends.
S15: If the result of the comparison process in S3 is a match, the eyeball is determined as the user's living body.
S16: The mark guides the user's line of sight to an appropriate position for authentication.
S17: The user's iris authentication process is performed by the collation unit 22.
<Configuration of Example 2>
Since the system configuration of the second embodiment is exactly the same as that of the first embodiment described above, a description thereof will be omitted.
By the way, in the second embodiment, an unauthorized user first looks at the peeping part 11 and adjusts his / her line of sight to the random movement of the mark inside, so that the system side determines that the eyeball is the user's living body. Immediately before the camera 13 starts photographing, an unauthorized object (photograph, printed material, artificial eye, etc.) is changed, and as a result, an illegality may occur.
A system that detects fraud in such a case is the system of the second embodiment. That is, while performing the detection operation in the first embodiment, the imaging of the iris image is performed twice, the iris data of the two times are collated by the collation unit 22, and if the collation is not successful, something like the above is obtained. It is determined that there was fraud.

(It is thought that the movement of the mark will be chased only by seeing the mark moving at random, but it is better if there is an appropriate guidance such as “Please watch the movement of the mark” in the voice part not shown here. In some cases.)

Although the first embodiment and the second embodiment have been described in detail above, the present invention is not limited to this description. For example, the line-of-sight random guidance means for guiding the line of sight of a person to move at random before photographing an iris may use light as a randomly moving mark or may be a physical mechanism. Any method can be used as long as the user's eyeball can be guided to move.
