Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a masking jig for masking an opening provided in a mounted object such as a rear spoiler when coating the mounted object.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, a rear spoiler 10 as shown in FIG. 7 is attached to the trunk or roof of an automobile for dressing up or the like. The rear spoiler 10 is also provided with a brake lamp 12 at a position where it can be seen from the rear vehicle for the purpose of enhancing safety when the vehicle is stopped. When manufacturing the rear spoiler 10 with the brake lamp, first, an opening 14 is opened at a predetermined position of the rear spoiler 10 that is hollow-formed by blow molding, and after the spoiler 10 is coated, the opening 14 is opened. A brake lamp 12 is attached.
[0003]
In this case, when the opening 14 is opened, dust such as scraps or scraps generated during sanding before painting may remain inside the rear spoiler 10. If coating is performed as it is, there is a problem that dust or the like blows out from the opening portion 14 during the coating and adheres to the painted surface of the rear spoiler 10 to cause a coating failure. Therefore, conventionally, before the rear spoiler 10 is painted, masking is performed in which the opening 14 is covered with a mask material such as vinyl or paper and adhered with an adhesive tape.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional masking described above, the work takes time and effort, and the more the number of rear spoilers 10 to be coated, the longer the time required for setup before painting and the lower the production efficiency. It is supposed to impose a lot of burden. In addition, since the used mask material, adhesive tape, and the like are discarded, there is a problem that it is extremely uneconomical and costly. In addition, when the adhesive tape is peeled off, the paint may also be peeled off, which may require subsequent processes such as repairs or may result in a defective product. However, there is a difficulty that becomes longer.
[0005]
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention has been proposed in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks inherent in the prior art, and has been proposed to suitably solve this problem. Masking can be performed easily and quickly, and the running cost can be reduced. An object is to provide a jig.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems and achieve the intended purpose suitably, the masking jig according to the present invention is:
A masking jig for masking an opening formed in a hollow object,
Insertable through the opening into the object to be mounted object within a body having a shape that may have covering entirely the opening from the inner side of the mounted object,
Position restricting means provided on the main body and engageable with an engaging means provided in the vicinity of the opening;
It is disposed so as to be rotatable with respect to the back surface of the body to be directed toward the mounted object, and is in contact with the inner surface facing the opening of the mounted object in an acute angle with respect to the back surface of the body. A locking member that is restricted from turning in a direction in which the angle with respect to the back surface is increased from the acute angle due to the inside ;
The locking member is elastically urged in a direction in which an angle with respect to the back surface of the main body is increased, the locking member is stretched between the inside and the main body, and the main body is pressed around the opening. And an elastic means .
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, the masking jig according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings by citing preferred embodiments. In the specification, “spoiler” is used to include “wing”.
[0008]
FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of a rear spoiler shown in a state where a masking jig according to an embodiment is mounted. A rear spoiler 10 as an object to be mounted whose hollow section is formed into a substantially triangular shape by blow molding or the like is shown in FIG. The angle between the inner surfaces of the connecting portion (corner portion) 20 of the first wall 16 that is directed rearward and the second wall 18 that is directed forward or upward when attached to the automobile is an acute angle (an angle smaller than 90 degrees). ). In FIG. 1, the rear spoiler 10 is shown in an upside-down posture with respect to the mounting state of the vehicle. In the following description, “upper and lower” are designated by the upper and lower relationships shown in FIG. 1. .
[0009]
An opening 14 for disposing the brake lamp 12 (see FIG. 7) is formed in the first wall 16 of the rear spoiler 10 with a predetermined size, and the opening 14 is removed in the vicinity of the opening 14. Engagement edges 22 projecting inward are integrally formed on the surrounding inner surface. The engagement edge 22 is formed on the upper engagement edge 22a formed on the upper side, the lower engagement edge 22b formed on the lower side, and the left and right sides in the width direction with respect to the opening 14 shown in FIG. The side engaging edge portions 22c and 22c are formed, and the lower engaging edge portion 22b functions as an engaging means that engages with a lower regulating edge portion 28b described later.
[0010]
As shown in FIG. 5, the masking jig 24 of the embodiment for masking the opening 14 of the rear spoiler 10 can cover the opening 14 from the inside of the rear spoiler 10 and prevent escape of dust and the like from the inside. A regulating edge portion 28 bent toward the front surface side is integrally formed on the outer peripheral edge of the main body 26 having a shape. The restriction edge portion 28 has an upper restriction edge portion 28a formed on the upper edge, a lower restriction edge portion 28b as a position restriction means formed on the lower edge, and the left and right sides with respect to the main body 26 shown in FIG. It is comprised from the side control edge parts 28c and 28c formed in the edge. When the main body 26 is attached to the spoiler 10 so as to cover the opening 14 from the inside of the rear spoiler 10, the upper and lower and left and right regulating edge portions 28a, 28b, 28c, 28c correspond to the rear spoiler 10. The upper and lower and left and right engaging edges 22a, 22b, 22c and 22c are positioned so as to surround from the outside.
[0011]
A locking member 32 as a locking means is disposed at the bottom of the back surface of the main body 26 via a hinge 30. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the hinge 30 includes a fixed piece 30a fixed to the main body 26, and a movable piece 30b pivotally supported by the fixed piece 30a via a rotation shaft 34. The locking member 32 is disposed so as to rotate integrally with the movable piece 30b. The main body 26 is positioned with respect to the rear spoiler 10 such that the lower side where the locking member 32 is disposed is located on the side of the connecting portion 20 between the first wall 16 and the second wall 18 of the spoiler 10. It is installed with. Further, as shown in the figure, the locking member 32 is a plate material extending outward from the lower end of the main body 26 by a predetermined length, and when the main body 26 is attached to the rear spoiler 10, the locking member 32 is The main body 26 is configured to come into contact with the inner surface of the second wall 18 at an acute angle with respect to the back surface (the surface facing the inner side of the rear spoiler 10) (see FIG. 5).
[0012]
A torsion coil spring 36 is wound around the rotating shaft 34 as elastic means, and the coil spring 36 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the second wall 18 when the main body 26 is attached to the rear spoiler 10. Is set to be elastically biased in the abutting direction. At this time, the reaction force acting on the main body 26 acts in a direction in which the lower restricting edge portion 28b abuts (engages) with the lower engaging edge portion 22b of the rear spoiler 10, thereby restricting the movement of the main body 26. Thus, the main body 26 is stably attached to the rear spoiler 10.
[0013]
On the surface of the main body 26, the main body 26 is mounted at a fixed position inside the rear spoiler 10, or the lower regulating edge portion 28b abuts (engages) with the lower engaging edge portion 22b of the rear spoiler 10. A knob 38 is provided which is used for releasing and removing. The knob 38 is provided at a position exposed from the opening 14 when the main body 26 is attached to the rear spoiler 10 (see FIGS. 1 and 5).
[0014]
[Effect of the embodiment]
Next, the operation of the masking jig according to the embodiment will be described. When attaching the masking jig 24 to the rear spoiler 10, the locking member 32 is rotated to a position where the locking member 32 is at an acute angle with respect to the back surface of the main body 26 with respect to the fixing piece 30 a of the hinge 30. 26 is inserted through the opening 14 into the interior. At this time, the main body 26 causes the lower side where the locking member 32 is disposed to face the inside of the opening portion 14 in a posture positioned on the connecting portion 20 side of the first wall 16 and the second wall 18. Then, the main body 26 facing the inside of the rear spoiler 10 is pulled toward the opening side with the knob 38, and the restriction edge portion 28 surrounds the engagement edge portion 22 formed in the vicinity of the opening portion 14. By positioning the opening 14, the opening 14 is covered from the inside. In this state, as shown in FIG. 5, the locking member 32 contacts the inner surface of the second wall 18 of the rear spoiler 10 at an acute angle with respect to the back surface of the main body 26, and the elastic force of the torsion coil spring 36. Pressed against the inner surface.
[0015]
The reaction force acting on the main body 26 in a state where the locking member 32 is pressed against the inner surface of the second wall 18 by the torsion coil spring 36 pushes the main body 26 upward along the inner surface of the first wall 16. Although it acts, the movement of the main body 26 is restricted when the lower restriction edge 28b abuts (engages) with the lower engagement edge 22b of the rear spoiler 10. Then, by restricting the upward movement of the main body 26, the reaction force acts in a direction to move the main body 26 to the opening side (left side in FIG. 5), and thereby the open end ( The front end is pressed against the inner surface of the first wall 16 so that the main body 26 is stably mounted in a state of covering the opening 14 in a sealed state.
[0016]
That is, in the rear spoiler 10 in which the opening portion 14 is masked by the masking jig 24 in this way, dust such as cutting residue or shaving residue remaining inside during the painting operation blows out from the opening portion 14 to the painted surface. It does not adhere and can be painted beautifully. Moreover, since the mounting operation of the masking jig 24 to the rear spoiler 10 is extremely simple and can be performed in a short time, the setup time required before painting can be shortened and the production efficiency can be improved. When the masking jig 24 is mounted on the rear spoiler 10, the reaction force acts in the direction in which the lower regulating edge 28b abuts (engages) with the lower engaging edge 22b. The main body 26 is not easily displaced.
[0017]
Further, the masking jig 24 is detached from the rear spoiler 10 by pushing the main body 26 into the rear spoiler 10 by the knob 38 provided on the main body 26 so that the lower restricting edge portion 28b is engaged with the lower spoiler edge 28b. After the contact (engagement) with the edge 22b is released against the reaction force and separated, the main body 26 is taken out from the opening 14 to complete. Thus, the removal work of the masking jig 24 is very simple, and the work time can be shortened. In addition, when removing the masking jig 24, there is no possibility that the paint of the rear spoiler 10 will be peeled off as in the prior art, so that the removal work can be performed quickly without taking time. Furthermore, since the masking jig 24 is not disposable and can be used repeatedly, there is an advantage that the running cost can be reduced.
[0018]
[Example of change]
FIG. 6 shows a modification example of the masking jig, and the basic configuration is the same as that of the above-described embodiment, so that only different parts will be described. The same members are denoted by the same reference numerals.
[0019]
In the masking jig 40 of the modified example, a convex portion 44 that fits into the opening portion 14 of the rear spoiler 10 is formed on the surface of the main body 42. A flange portion 46 is formed on the outer peripheral edge of the main body 42. The flange portion 46 comes into contact with the open end (inner end) of the engagement edge 22 when the convex portion 44 is fitted into the opening 14 from the inside. When the main body 42 of the masking jig 40 according to the modified example is attached to the rear spoiler 10 with the convex portion 44 fitted into the opening 14, the locking member 32 is at an acute angle with respect to the back surface of the main body 42. In this state, the inner surface of the second wall 18 of the rear spoiler 10 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the rear spoiler 10 and is pressed against the inner surface by the elastic force of the torsion coil spring 36.
[0020]
Further, the reaction force acting on the main body 42 in a state where the locking member 32 is pressed against the inner surface of the second wall 18 by the torsion coil spring 36 pushes the main body 42 upward along the inner surface of the first wall 16. Although acting, the movement of the main body 42 is restricted by the upper end edge 44a of the convex portion 44 coming into contact (engagement) with the upper engagement edge portion 22a of the rear spoiler 10. Then, by restricting the upward movement of the main body 42, the reaction force acts in a direction to move the main body 42 to the opening side, whereby the open end (surface end) of the flange portion 46 is engaged. When pressed against the open end of the portion 22, the main body 42 is stably mounted with the opening 14 covered in a sealed state. That is, in the modified example, the upper end edge 44a of the convex portion 44 functions as a position restricting means, and the upper engaging edge portion 22a functions as an engaging means. In the masking jig 40 according to the modified example configured as described above, the same operational effects as those of the above-described embodiment can be obtained.
[0021]
In the above-described embodiments and modifications, the case where the locking member as a separate member is disposed on the movable piece of the hinge has been described, but the movable piece itself may be used as the locking means. In addition, a locking member (locking means) is rotatably disposed on a rotation shaft disposed directly on the main body without using a hinge, and the locking member is rotated in a predetermined direction by a torsion coil spring or the like. It is also possible to force. Furthermore, the elastic means is not limited to the torsion coil spring of the embodiment, and a plate spring or the like can be appropriately employed. Note that the elastic member can be omitted by configuring the locking member (locking means) itself with a leaf spring. Furthermore, the locking member may be a telescopic bar provided with a compression spring as an elastic means as long as the main body is elastically brought into contact with the rear spoiler.
[0022]
Further, the position regulating means and the engaging means for regulating the movement of the main body when the masking jig is mounted on the rear spoiler have been described in the case where the upper and lower positions of the main body and the upper and lower positions sandwiching the opening of the rear spoiler are described. Since the position restricting means and the engaging means are only required to restrict the movement of the main body, the position restricting means and the engaging means may be on both sides of the main body or the opening, and the arrangement positions thereof are not limited. Furthermore, in the embodiment and the modified example, when the masking jig is attached to the rear spoiler, the locking member is configured to contact the inner surface of the rear spoiler. It is also possible to provide a portion and contact the locking member with an acute angle to the back surface of the main body. In addition, as a to-be-attached object which mounts a masking jig | tool, it is not limited to a rear spoiler, It can target the various members which are hollow and need to mask an opening part.
[0023]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the masking jig according to the present invention, the attachment and detachment work with respect to the attachment object is extremely simple, and the work can be performed in a short time. Production efficiency can be improved. Also, the operator can be released from the troublesome work of attaching and removing the mask material with the adhesive tape, and the burden can be reduced. Furthermore, since the masking jig is not disposable but can be used repeatedly, there is an advantage that the running cost can be reduced.
