(1)レーザー加工機等の板材加工機において、ワークの移動位置決め等に用いられるボールネジ駆動系の防塵装置であって、該ボールネジ駆動系は、ボールネジと、これをガイドする前記ボールネジの軸に平行なガイドを備え、前記ボールネジを内包してなる細長形状のシールボックスの下面に軸に平行に所望寸法幅の開口部を設け、この細長状の前記開口部に弾性部材を貼設したシールベルトを前記開口部に嵌合して前記シールボックス内を密閉状態とし、前記ボールネジに螺合して移動自在のナットブラケットの下部にシールベルトの上面と当接して摺動可能な適宜曲面を有する支持体を着脱可能に螺子部材にて螺合装着し、更に、前記シールベルトの下面に下方から押圧するように押圧部材を摺動可能にバネ部材にて付勢して上面開放型の筐体内に設け、前記ナットブラケットの下部に装着された支持体を筐体内に上方よりシールベルトを挟装して嵌入し支持体と筐体の両側部を螺子部材で接続固設し、シールボックスの密閉状態を維持可能とし、ボールネジのナットブラケットと筐体が前記支持体及びバネ部材を有する押圧部材と共に協動し、移動位置決め操作時においても前記シールボックスへの塵埃の侵入を防止可能とすることを特徴とするボールネジ駆動系の防塵装置。

レーザー加工機等の板材加工機において、例えば、機械座標上に位置決めされたワークWを加工する際に加工ヘッドHを、ボールネジ機構等を用いて高精度の位置決め操作を行う場合、前記ボールネジ1の回転駆動によりナットブラケット7が前記ボールネジ1の軸に沿って水平移動するが、ナットブラケット7の下部に複数の螺子部材9によって固設装着された支持対8の下方曲面部が、シールベルト6の内側上面に貼設された弾性部材5に摺動可能に当接して設け、また、支持体8と上面開放型の筐体12とは、筐体12内の前後部にバネ部材11により上方に付勢して押圧するように設けられた押圧部材10がシールベルト6を下方から摺動可能に押圧し、更に、上面開放型の筐体12の両側端上面縁部に遮蔽機能を有するシール部材(リップシール)としての板状弾性部材12aをシールボックス3の下面に当接して摺動可能に設け、ナットブラケット7の下部に接続された支持体8を筐体12内に上方よりシールベルト6を挟装して嵌入し両側部を螺子部材13で接続固設しているために、前記シールベルト6を上下より挟み込んで扱くように前進後退等の移動が可能であり、移動位置決め操作時においても、駆動系の密閉状態を維持してボールネジ駆動系への塵埃の侵入を防止することが出来る。

なお、この防塵装置は、ボールネジ駆動系のみでなく、ラック、LMガイド、リニアモータ等を用いた駆動系全般に広く応用でき、更には、レーザー加工機等の光軸ジャバラの代わりに使用することも可能である。

この発明によれば、ボールネジ駆動系を周囲と遮断して密閉包含するシールボックスの下面にシールベルトを設け、ボールネジのナットブラケットが、前記シールボックスの密閉状態を維持しながら加工操作のための移動位置決め操作を可能とする効果を呈する。
