本発明は、稲藁類に付着している害虫,病菌等を消毒して死滅させる設備等に係る技術分野に属する。

【従来の技術】
収穫された稲藁類は、安全,衛生的な家畜飼料,敷料,畳材料,園芸資料等として使用するために、付着している害虫,病菌等を死滅させる消毒が行われる。この消毒では、一般的に加熱処理が選択され、植物防疫法では少なくとも86℃の消毒熱を4分間以上保持し、家畜伝染病予防法では少なくとも80℃の消毒熱を10分間以上保持することが必要とされている。

従来、稲藁類消毒技術としては、例えば、適当長に切断した稲藁類を結束,網袋包装等してブロック化した材料を消毒装置に投入してバッチ式で消毒するものが知られている。消毒装置は、一端部が材料の投入,排出を兼用する投入排出口とされ投入排出口を閉鎖して内部に収容された材料を消毒する筒形の消毒缶と、消毒缶に消毒熱を供給する熱源部とからなる。なお、消毒装置の消毒缶,熱源部については、加熱処理手段として採用される減圧蒸気加熱方式,熱風加熱方式,マイクロ波加熱方式等に対応した構造に構成される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前述の従来の稲藁類消毒技術では、消毒装置の消毒缶に投入される未消毒の材料と消毒装置の消毒缶から排出された消毒済みの材料とが消毒装置の消毒缶の投入排出口付近で交差してしまうため、消毒済みの材料が再び害虫,病菌等で汚染されることがあるという問題点がある。また、単純なバッチ式の消毒装置を使用するため、作業員の資質,管理能力によっては設定された加熱処理の工程が正確に実行されないことがあるという問題点がある。

本発明は、このような問題点を考慮してなされたもので、消毒済みの材料が二次汚染されることがなく、しかも設定された加熱処理の工程が正確に実行される稲藁類消毒設備と、この稲藁類消毒設備への設置に好適な消毒設備を製造するための消毒装置の製造方法とを提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前述の課題を解決するため、本発明に係る稲藁類消毒設備は、次のような手段を採用する。

即ち、請求項1に記載のように、消毒作業場に稲藁類からなる材料を加熱処理により消毒する消毒装置が設置され、消毒装置が内部に材料を収容する筒形の消毒缶と消毒缶に消毒熱を供給する熱源部とを備えてなる稲藁類消毒設備において、消毒装置の消毒缶の軸方向の中途で消毒作業場を非清浄区域と清浄区域とに区画し、消毒装置の消毒缶の一端部に材料が投入される開閉蓋付きの投入口を設けて消毒作業場の非清浄区域に位置させ他端部に材料が排出される開閉蓋付きの排出口を設けて消毒作業場の清浄区域に位置させたことを特徴とする。
