Description

【0001】

【0037】
工程(A)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for easily and accurately toning a dark paint, and a toning method that can easily and accurately perform toning of a glittering paint using the toning of a dark paint.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, with regard to toning of paints, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 63-153777, color data representing the hue, saturation and brightness of a selected color to be toned using a portable color meter is stored, and the color meter A plurality of paint formulations that can be used are stored in the computer, and the hue, saturation, and luminance of each paint specified by the stored available color formula are represented. Color data is stored in the computer and the closest match is found by comparing the color data of the selected color received from the color meter with the stored color data representing each of the stored available paint formulations. Selecting the stored paint formulation represented by the color data found as the closest match, thereby matching the color match for the selected color A method and apparatus for performing has been proposed (see Patent Document 1).
[0003]
However, the colorimetric data used for toning has a problem that the colorimetric sensitivity is poor for a color having a small scattering factor, that is, a dark color, due to the characteristics of the spectrophotometer. For this reason, it is difficult for the dark color paint to achieve the toning level, and the number of toning tends to increase.
[0004]
In recent years, the paint color of automobiles and the like has been increasing with a glittering paint color in which aluminum powder and glitter mica powder are blended from the viewpoint of diversification of personal preference and improvement of cosmetics. In the case of performing the color matching of this glittering coating color, the color matching method described in the above Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-153777 still has insufficient color matching accuracy.
[0005]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-310727 discloses a metallic material for obtaining a blending ratio of a coloring material and a brilliant material or a blending amount of the brilliant material that matches a target color of a metallic pearl-based paint blended with a brilliant material or a coloring material and a brilliant material In the toning method of the pearl paint, a computer is prepared by measuring the spectral reflectance of a plurality of coated plate samples in which the blending amount of the glittering material to be used or the blending ratio of the coloring material and the glittering material is changed with a variable angle spectrophotometer in advance. Is stored in the memory, and the reproducible spectral reflectance is predicted and calculated while taking into account the change in the declination spectral reflectance that is caused by changing the amount of the brightening material added when toning using this. A method for obtaining a blending amount of a material or an appropriate blending ratio of a coloring material and a bright material has been proposed (see Patent Document 2).
[0006]
However, in this method, it is necessary to use at least about 5 to 6 levels of a coated plate sample in which the blending amount of the glittering material or the blending ratio of the coloring material and the glittering material is changed for one color material. Is necessary, and the calculation algorithm is complicated, which increases the cost of the device used.
[0007]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-221690 discloses (A) a colorimeter, (B) a micro brightness meter, (C) a plurality of paint blends, color data corresponding to each paint blend, and micro brightness. Sensation data, color characteristic data of a plurality of primary color paints and micro glitter characteristic data are registered, and a paint computer comprising the paint composition and a computer on which color matching calculation logic using each data operates A toning method that can be applied to a paint having a glittering feeling using a toning device is described (see Patent Document 3).
[0008]
However, it takes a lot of labor and cost to register the color data and micro glitter data corresponding to each paint composition used in this method, and the color characteristics data and micro glitter characteristics data of multiple primary color paints. However, since it is complicated, the cost of the apparatus to be used becomes a factor.
[0009]
Furthermore, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-50891 discloses a method for measuring a color liquid filled in a cell by discharging and circulating the color liquid to a surface including a measurement site of the cell. A liquid colorimetry method is described in which colorimetry is performed while continuously updating the colored liquid at the measurement site (see Patent Document 4).
[0010]
However, it takes a lot of labor and cost to register color data corresponding to the composition of each glitter paint used in this method and color characteristic data of a plurality of primary color paints. On the other hand, since it is necessary to discharge and circulate the coloring liquid, it becomes a factor of high cost of the apparatus used.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In any of the methods described in JP-A-10-310727 and JP-A-2001-221690, when toning a paint having a glittering feeling, even in repeated toning where the basic composition of the paint is known, Toning while grasping the optical characteristics of the coating film containing the glitter material, and because the glitter is included as a factor in addition to the color, the number of toning times until the toning is complicated and the passing level is reached There was a problem that the number of man-hours for creating a painted plate for toning and the like increased.
[0014]
Further, in the method described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-50891, it is not necessary to create a paint plate for toning the glitter paint, but a paint plate is created for the paint containing the glitter material. For the first time, glossy paint (for example, blended with fine titanium oxide with an average particle size of about 0.01 to 0.05 μm) that can confirm the effect and color matching for coating colors with very little scattering factor are sufficient Could not be done.
[0015]
An object of the present invention is to provide a toning method capable of easily and accurately toning a dark paint having low lightness.
[0016]

[0024]
The present invention also relates to 6. In the step (C), the color matching determination is performed by a colorimeter and / or visual observation.
[0025]
Hereinafter, the toning method of the present invention will be described in detail.
[0026]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The toning method (I) of the present invention is a method for toning a dark paint having a known reference composition. Therefore, it is a method that can be suitably used in the case of repeatedly producing a toned paint for the same paint color whose reference blend is known.
[0027]
If there is no lot-to-lot variation in the raw material for producing dark paint, it is possible to obtain the desired color paint if blended according to the standard blend, There are variations, and even in the primary color paint containing a single type of pigment, there is some variation in coloring power, and the color may vary. Therefore, even when toning a dark-colored paint whose reference blend is known, there is almost no case where the color matching is acceptable with the blend according to the reference blend.
[0028]
In the toning method (I) of the present invention, when toning a dark paint, the toning of the dark enamel paint is performed by toning a paint obtained by diluting a part of the dark paint with a white paint as a reference color. Is what you do.
[0029]
The toning method (II) of the present invention is not toning at once as a paint containing a glittering material when toning a glittering paint, but after toning a dark enamel paint without a glittering material, Toning is performed by adding a bright material to this. The dark-colored enamel coating is performed by the same method as in the above-described toning method (I) of the present invention.
[0030]
The toning method (I) of the present invention includes the following steps (1) and (2).
[0031]
Process (1)
Step (1) is lightness L*For dark paints with a value of 40 or less, mix with white enamel at a specified blending ratio and lightness L*In this process, a light color reference paint having a value of 50 or more is prepared, and light color reference liquid color measurement data or a light color reference plate is previously obtained for the paint. In this specification, “lightness L*Value ”is the L specified in JIS Z8729 (1994).*a*b*L in the color system*Mean value. The light color reference liquid color measurement data and the light color reference board can be obtained immediately before the production of the intended dark color paint, but the light color reference liquid color measurement data and the light color reference board are used for repeated toning operations. It is preferable that the accuracy is higher based on the result.
[0032]
In the present specification, “white enamel” refers to L defined in JIS Z8729 (1994) in the color measurement value of a concealed painted plate.*a*b*L in the color system*A value of 85 or more, preferably 90 or more, a*A value of 5 or less, preferably 1 or less, b*It shall mean an enamel paint having a value of 5 or less, preferably 1.5 or less. This white enamel has extremely small variations between production lots, for example, L defined in JIS Z8729 (1994).*a*b*Color difference ΔE between lots in the color system*Is preferably within 1.0, more preferably within 0.3.
[0033]
The blending ratio of dark paint and white enamel is a light color L*The value is not particularly limited as long as the value is 45 or more, preferably 50 to 70. Usually, the blending ratio of the dark color paint and the white enamel is 5/95 to 90/10, preferably 10/90 to 80/20 in terms of the former / latter weight ratio.
[0034]
The light color reference liquid color measurement data can be obtained, for example, by putting a light color reference paint in a glass cell and performing liquid color measurement. The light color reference plate can be obtained, for example, by applying a light color reference paint on the base material so as to have a thickness equal to or greater than the concealed film thickness and curing it under standard curing conditions.
[0035]
Process (2)
Step (2) is a step of obtaining a dark paint by toning, and when toning the dark paint, a part of the dark paint in the middle of the toning and white enamel are mixed at the predetermined blending ratio. For the mixed light color paint, the liquid color measurement data is adjusted to match the reference liquid color measurement data while maintaining the predetermined blending ratio of the dark color paint and the white enamel, or the light color coating plate is formed as described above. In this step, the color is adjusted so as to match the light color reference plate, and a dark color paint composition is obtained in which the color of the light color paint is acceptable. In this toning, computer toning can be performed using a computer in which color matching calculation logic operates, and color toning by colorimeter and / or visual observation can be performed without using computer toning. Naturally, both computer toning and visual observation may be used in combination. When it is determined whether the colors match based on the values measured by a computer or a colorimeter in which the color matching calculation logic operates, for example, L defined in JIS Z8729 (1994)*a*b*△ E by color system*It can be managed by value.
[0036]
The toning method (II) of the present invention includes the following steps (A), (B) and (C).
[0037]
Step (A)
In the step (A), the lightness L obtained by removing the glittering material and, if necessary, the paint additive from the reference paint composition of the glittering paint that is toned and color-matched is known.*Lightness L in which dark paint with a value of 40 or less and white enamel are mixed at a predetermined blending ratio*This is a step of obtaining light color reference liquid color measurement data or light color reference plate in advance for a light color reference paint having a value of 50 or more.
[0038]
The light color reference liquid color measurement data and the light color reference board can be obtained immediately before the production of the intended dark color paint, but the light color reference liquid color measurement data and the light color reference board are used for repeated toning operations. It is preferable that the accuracy is higher based on the result.
[0039]
The light color reference liquid color measurement data and the light color reference plate can be obtained in the same manner as in the step (1) of the toning method (I) of the present invention.
[0040]
Process (B)
The step (B) is a step of obtaining a dark color paint from which a glittering material and, if necessary, a paint additive are removed by toning, and when toning the dark color paint, The diluted color enamel paint obtained by mixing a part of the white enamel and the white enamel at the predetermined blending ratio, while maintaining the predetermined blending ratio of the dark color paint and the white enamel, the liquid color measurement data becomes the standard for the light color reference liquid. In this step, the color is adjusted so as to match the colorimetric data, or the light-colored paint plate is adjusted to match the light-color reference plate, and a dark-colored paint that passes the light-colored paint color is obtained.
[0041]
The dark paint can be obtained in the same manner as in step (2) of the toning method (I) of the present invention.
[0042]
Process (C)
The step (C) is a step of mixing the bright material and, if necessary, a paint additive with the dark paint toned in the step (B). In the step (C), the reference amount of the glitter material may be added at a time, or the amount may be slightly reduced, and the glitter material may be added while observing the glitter feeling. The variation in brightness of glittering materials has been reduced due to improvements in technology for manufacturing glittering materials, and except for those with large variations, it is not acceptable to add a specified amount of glittering materials at once. It is thought that it has disappeared.
[0043]
With respect to the primary toning paint in which a glittering material or the like is blended with the toning enamel paint, a painted plate can be prepared, and the color consistency with the reference coating plate of the intended glitter paint can be determined. In this determination, if the color matching is acceptable, the toning is terminated, and if the color matching is unacceptable, further toning is performed. This determination of color consistency can be performed, for example, using a colorimeter, can be performed visually, or both can be used together. As the colorimeter, a multiangle colorimeter that can perform color measurement at multiple angles is suitable. When color matching is determined by a colorimeter, at a light reception angle of about 2 to 5 levels, for example, L defined in JIS Z8729 (1994).*a*b*ΔE by color system*It can be determined by whether the value is within a certain range. The light receiving angle means an angle formed between the specular reflection axis and the light receiving axis when the coating film is irradiated with light at a constant incident angle. When measuring at a light reception angle of 3 levels, for example, the light reception angle is one of each of the angle ranges of 15 to 30 degrees, 35 to 60 degrees, and 75 to 110 degrees. This is preferable because it can be easily handled with judgment.
[0044]
Raw paint itself, which is the primary toning paint, is not used to determine whether the color of the primary toning paint that contains a glittering material or the like to the toning enamel paint is acceptable or not. It can also be based on liquid toning to determine color.
[0045]
The liquid toning of the glitter paint has a problem in accuracy at present compared with the method of toning according to the reference coating plate. When high precision is required in the toning of the glitter paint, the process (C It is preferable to determine the color consistency in (2) based on the color consistency of the glossy paint coated plate with the reference coated plate.
[0046]
If the color matching determination is acceptable, the toning is terminated, and if it is unacceptable, the target glittering paint can be obtained by performing toning by adjusting the amount of the glittering material.
[0047]

Comparative Example 3 Toning of blue paint (BL paint) (for comparison)
In order to adjust the color of the blue paint (BL paint), blue paint reference liquid color measurement data and a blue paint reference plate are prepared in advance. As shown in Table 8 below, from the initial formulation (a blend of 100% glitter material, 90% blended primary color enamel, 50% blended primary color enamel with respect to the standard blend), with a small amount of blended primary color enamel. Using the liquid color data as a reference, liquid color was measured using a computer color matching device (trade name “Alesmatch” manufactured by Kansai Paint Co., Ltd.), and a blending calculation was performed to obtain a corrected blending (additional amount). This correction blending calculation was performed three times to obtain a toning paint. The toning paint after blending adjustment 3 times is the color difference ΔE from the blue paint reference liquid color measurement data*Was 0.92. Also, the color difference ΔE from the blue paint reference plate*Was 1.33 and the result of visual evaluation with the blue paint reference plate was B. Here, the small amount blended primary color enamel is each of black and purple primary color enamels, and the large amount blended primary color enamel is each of white and blue primary color enamels.

Example 4 Toning of Blue Paint (BL Paint) (Method of the Present Invention)
For the color matching of the blue paint (BL paint), the blue paint reference plate and the light color reference liquid color measurement data of the blue paint are prepared in advance. As shown in Table 9 below, the initial blend with a small amount of mixed primary color enamel (100% brightening material, 90% mixed primary color enamel, 50% small mixed primary enamel is added to the standard blend, and the total combined primary colors On the other hand, using a computer color matching device (trade name “Alesmatch”, manufactured by Kansai Paint Co., Ltd.) based on the color data of the lighter color reference liquid for blue paints. Then, a blending calculation was performed to obtain a corrected blending (additional amount). When obtaining a correction formulation based on the color measurement data of the lighter color reference liquid, a paint having the same ratio as the thinning ratio at the time of preparation of the lighter color reference liquid, that is, a paint containing 50% of the white primary color enamel for lightening Color difference ΔE with light color reference liquid colorimetric data*Was measured. This correction blending calculation was performed three times to obtain a toning paint. The light color toning paint after blending adjustment 3 times is the color difference ΔE with the light color reference liquid color measurement data of the blue paint*Was 0.23. The toning paint without the white primary color enamel for thinning has a color difference ΔE with the blue paint reference plate.*Was 0.39, and the result of visual evaluation with the blue paint reference plate was A. Here, the small amount blended primary color enamel is each of black and purple primary color enamels, and the large amount blended primary color enamel is each of white and blue primary color enamels. Also, the brightness L of the painted plate of BL paint*The value is 26.1, the lightness L of the lighter color reference plate*The value was 53.4.

【The invention's effect】
The method of the present invention can perform toning with higher sensitivity in the toning of dark paint than the conventional method, and can improve the toning accuracy. In the conventional method, it is possible to perform toning with high accuracy even in a color gamut where color matching is difficult.
[0070]
When toning a glitter paint with a bright enamel blended with dark enamel, the toning of the enamel paint, excluding the glitter material, is performed first. Compared with the conventional method in which the blending amount of the agent (excluding the glittering material) is changed, the toning is easier and more accurate.
