前記取付ブラケットとしては、一例としてリヤバンパ等でも使用されていた図5以下に示すごときものを使用することが考えられている。即ちこの取付ブラケット3は、コ字状に形成された本体部3aの両端にフランジ部3bを一体に形成した、厚さ4.5〜6ミリメートルの鋼板部材で、上記フランジ部3bを前記FUP1’の裏面の所定位置に溶接Wで固着し、前記本体部3aを、ボルト穴3cに通したボルト(図示せず)により前記支持腕2の先端に固定したものである。

ところが、上記のようなブラケット3では、図6のA−A断面とB−B断面における断面係数の差が例えば約1対2と大きいため、厳しい荷重条件下での衝撃力P1によって本体部3aとフランジ部3bとの境界に相当するQ点に応力集中が生じ、図7に示すようにQ点でFUP1’とともに屈曲することがあり、ブラケット3がFUP1’を補強する効果が十分発揮されないおそれがある。

上記課題を解決するための本発明バンパ類の取付装置は、閉断面をもつバンパ類を、フレームに支持した支持腕先端に取付けるに際し、取付時の平面視で台形をなし、且つ側面視で垂直で平らな頂部を備えた山形ボックス状の突部をもち、頂部と反対側の両端にコ字断面をもつ開口部を形成した取付ブラケットを用い、前記開口部をフレーム側から前記バンパ類に被せて溶接するとともに、前記ボックス状突部の頂部を前記支持腕の先端に装着したことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の好ましい実施の形態を、図1乃至図4により説明すると、本発明バンパ類の取付装置は、閉断面をもつバンパ類を、フレームFに支持した支持腕2先端2aに取付けるに際し、取付時の平面視で台形をなし、且つ側面視で垂直で平らな頂部12bを備えた山形ボックス状の突部12dをもち、頂部12bと反対側の両端にコ字断面をもつ開口部12aを形成した取付ブラケット12を用い、前記開口部12aをフレームF側から前記バンパ類11に被せて溶接Wするとともに、前記ボックス状突部の頂部12bを前記支持腕2の先端2aに装着したものである。
