BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a photocatalyst unit that can be used as an alternative to a chemical filter in an environment where the boron concentration in the air needs to be controlled at a constant and minute amount, and an air cleaning device including the photocatalyst unit.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, when it is necessary to remove not only dust but also organic gas in an environment where it is necessary to control the boron concentration in the air in a constant and minute amount, the dust removal filter does not have a function of removing organic gas. A chemical filter is used in combination with a dust filter.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Although the chemical filter certainly has an excellent organic gas removal function, it has a short life span, takes time and effort for maintenance, and the collected organic gas is detached and contaminates the clean environment again. there were. More specifically, in addition to the need for periodic replacement, a chemical filter with a short lifetime has a disadvantage in that the running cost is greatly increased because most of the chemical filter cannot be regenerated. In addition, the chemical filter does not have a decomposition function for organic gas, and the organic gas once adsorbed on the chemical filter and the reaction by-product (NO 2− ) are re-released due to the specific fluctuation of the type and concentration of the upstream gas. Secondary contamination may occur due to this.
Then, an object of this invention is to provide the air purifying apparatus which eliminated the inconvenience which such a chemical filter has.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to meet the above demand, the present inventor has constituted a photocatalytic unit with a gas-permeable photocatalyst body, and this gas-permeable photocatalyst body does not substantially contain boron. The boron content when boron is not intentionally added as a composition component, specifically, boron content when analyzed by high frequency inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) after hydrofluoric acid decomposition / evaporation to dryness-alkali melt extraction 100 μg / g or less and specific surface area measured by BET single point method should be 10 m 2 / g or less, and after high-frequency inductively coupled plasma generation after hydrofluoric acid decomposition / evaporation to dryness-alkali melt extraction When the boron content when analyzed by spectroscopy (ICP-AES) is 10 μg / g or less, the organic gas is not increased in the air while increasing the boron concentration in the air. It was found that it can be removed.
Further, by forming the breathable photocatalyst in the form of a sheet and laminating a plurality of these in a state of being separated from each other in the airflow passage direction, an organic gas capturing function that can be substituted for the chemical filter is obtained. It was found that the trapped organic gas does not escape carelessly.
Furthermore, it has been found that providing a primary-side dust filter on the upstream side of the photocatalytic unit provides a long life and excellent maintainability.
The air purifying apparatus of the present invention has been made based on such knowledge, and as described in claim 1, is an air purifying apparatus including a dust removal filter and a photocatalytic unit, and the photocatalytic unit substantially does not contain boron. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
As long as the air purifying apparatus of the present invention is an air purifying apparatus including at least a dust filter and a photocatalytic unit, such as a fan filter unit, for example, the type and configuration thereof are not particularly limited. Also, existing clean rooms and their air-conditioning equipment, local control spaces such as mini-environments, clean benches, air showers, pass boxes, clean tunnels, clean stockers, clean booths, clean cells (clean air blowing devices), etc. A case where the photocatalyst unit is incorporated in equipment or an apparatus is also included as the air cleaning apparatus of the present invention.
[0006]
As the dust removal filter, an arbitrary filter such as a ULPA filter, a HEPA filter, a medium performance air filter, a coarse dust air filter, or the like is used as long as it does not substantially contain boron.
[0007]
As the light source used in the photocatalyst unit, an ultraviolet lamp, a low-pressure mercury lamp, a sterilizing lamp, a black light fluorescent lamp, or the like is used. Among them, the sterilizing lamp with a low wavelength of 254 nm can increase the effective irradiation light amount to the photocatalyst. This is preferable because the action is strong and ozone-less. In particular, in the biological field such as medical treatment, medicine and food, the combined use of germicidal lamps and photocatalysts is preferable because of its high sterilizing effect. Furthermore, it is possible to cope with the removal of bacteria and microorganisms in a clean room, and use of a germicidal lamp is preferable.
[0008]
The photocatalyst may be any as long as it is excited by light irradiation and can decompose gaseous pollutants. Although many things, such as a titanium oxide and a zinc oxide, are proposed, a titanium oxide is preferable from the point of decomposition | disassembly efficiency, safety | security, and stability. The titanium oxide may be rutile type, anatase type, or a coexistence type of these, but rutile type is suitable for reacting low energy light, and anatase is used for enhancing the activity of the reaction. The type is suitable. Further, addition of Pt, Ag, Pd, RuO 2 , and Co 3 O 4 to the photocatalyst is preferable because decomposition of gaseous pollutants is promoted.
[0009]
The shape of the photocatalyst may be any shape as long as it has a cross shape, honeycomb shape, paper shape, bead / particle packed layer, porous shape, etc. and can achieve air permeability. The increase in pressure loss can be suppressed to a low level, and there is no leakage of ultraviolet rays, and various gaseous pollutants can be safely decomposed. Therefore, the photocatalyst is fixed to a mesh substrate having an aperture ratio of 10 to 50%. A breathable sheet is preferable. If the aperture ratio is less than 10%, the light transmittance may be lowered, the air permeability may be deteriorated, and the pressure loss of the photocatalyst unit may be increased. If the aperture ratio exceeds 50%, the effect of the photocatalyst is reduced. In addition, ultraviolet rays leak from the photocatalyst unit to the outside, and the safety of the photocatalyst unit becomes a problem.
[0010]
In any case, the photocatalyst that constitutes the photocatalyst unit needs to contain substantially no boron. The term “substantially free of boron” as used herein means that boron is not intentionally added as a composition component during material production. Specifically, high-frequency inductively coupled plasma after hydrofluoric acid decomposition / evaporation to dryness-alkali melt extraction The boron content when analyzed by emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) is 100 μg / g or less and the specific surface area when measured by the BET single point method is 10 m 2 / g or less, or hydrofluoric acid decomposition It means that the boron content is 10 μg / g or less when analyzed by high-frequency inductively coupled plasma generation spectroscopy (ICP-AES) after evaporation to dryness-alkali melt extraction.
[0011]
Further, in order to increase the contact area between the photocatalyst and the gas to be treated, and to keep pressure loss during ventilation low, the breathable sheet-like photocatalyst that does not substantially contain boron is a glass fiber that does not contain boron. It is preferable that a photocatalyst is carried on a molded article (for example, glass cloth). Specifically, as glass fiber molded products such as glass cloth that does not contain boron, glass fiber that does not intentionally add boron as a composition component when manufacturing materials such as R glass, S glass, T glass, U glass, and quartz glass. Any glass may be used as long as it is made of, but R glass and S glass are preferably used from the viewpoint of economy.
Further, from the viewpoint of the possibility of heat regeneration of the photocatalyst body, the photocatalyst itself is easy to heat regenerate. Therefore, if boron is not intentionally added as a composition component at the time of material production, there is no generation of boron. Moreover, since heat resistance is also high, it is preferable to use the heat-regenerated photocatalyst for a base material.
[0012]
In addition, from the viewpoint of the function of adsorbing gaseous pollutants, it is preferable to use a porous photocatalyst surface. However, as the specific surface area increases, boron tends to be generated. The specific surface area when measured by the BET single point method is preferably 10 m 2 / g or less.
When the boron content of the photocatalyst is 10 μg / g or less, the specific surface area when measured by the BET single point method is not particularly considered.
[0013]
Further, from the viewpoint of enhancing the organic gas removal effect of the photocatalyst unit, it is preferable that the photocatalyst body constituting the photocatalyst unit is formed in the shape of a breathable sheet, and a plurality of these are laminated and arranged in a separated state. Here, the separated state refers to a laminated state in which most of the air-permeable sheet-like photocatalyst body is not in contact and preferably has an interval of about 1 to 10 mm.
[0014]
Further, from the viewpoint of extending the life of the photocatalyst unit, it is preferable to provide a primary dust filter on the upstream side of the photocatalyst unit.
As the primary side dust removal filter, a filter such as a coarse dust air filter, a medium performance air filter, a HEPA filter, or a ULPA filter is used as long as it does not contain boron.

When the photocatalyst unit of the air purifier is installed in an air conditioning system and the fan is driven, air flows through the air-permeable sheet-like photocatalyst stacked in the airflow direction. This air comes into contact with the air-permeable sheet-like photocatalyst, and contaminants such as organic gas in the air are once captured by the air-permeable sheet-like photocatalyst, and further decomposed and rendered harmless by the supported photocatalyst, The air is further purified by a downstream dust filter.

[0033]
(Comparative Example 1)

This was used as Comparative Example 1.
[0034]
(Comparative Example 2)
In place of the photocatalyst unit of Example 2, a chemical filter of 500 mm × 800 mm × 120 mm was replaced with one attached on a dummy box of 543 mm × 843 mm × 120 mm.
[0035]
(Comparative Example 3)
The breathable sheet-like photocatalyst body of the photocatalyst unit of the air cleaning device shown in FIG. 1 is brought close to the light source only in the lower catalyst box arranged with the light source box interposed therebetween, so that only one layer, that is, a total of 12 One sheet was accommodated, and this was designated as Comparative Example 3.
[0036]
(Comparative Example 4)

[0038]
Next, the air purifiers of Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5 thus obtained were tested and evaluated for the following characteristics.
(Wafer surface DOP adsorption measurement)
Each of the above air purifiers was installed in an air conditioning system of an experimental clean room with an air circulation rate of 95% at 600 m 3 and operated at a fan air volume of 20 m 3 / min. Then, a disk-type silicon wafer (commonly known as an 8-inch wafer) having a diameter of 20 cm and a thickness of 600 μm is heated and cleaned at 280 ° C. for 3 hours with an inert gas, and then left in the clean room atmosphere and directly under the air cleaning device for 24 hours. Then, the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface was measured by the wafer heat desorption / GC-MS method, and the results are shown in Table 1. Incidentally, the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface before the operation of the air cleaning apparatus was 1.33 ng / cm 2 .
[0039]
(Pressure loss)
The pressure loss during the operation was measured by a predetermined measuring method according to JISB 9908.
[0040]
(Life evaluation)
Life A
The lifetime A was evaluated as the time during which the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface directly under the air cleaning device in the DOP adsorption amount measurement can be maintained below 0.2 ng / cm 2 .
Life B
The time during which the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface in the clean room atmosphere in the DOP adsorption amount measurement can be maintained below 0.2 ng / cm 2 was evaluated as the life B.
It should be noted that if the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface is less than 0.2 ng / cm 2, it is a standard for a level at which dielectric breakdown of the gate oxide film does not occur, that is, a standard for a level at which no defect occurs on the wafer.
[0041]
(DOP adsorption amount controllability by one pass)
Next, in the DOP adsorption amount measurement, the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface when the air cleaning device is operated in one pass can be measured, and the adsorption amount directly under the air cleaning device can be controlled to be less than 0.2 ng / cm 2. The case is shown in Table 1, and the case where control is impossible is shown as x.
[0042]
(DOP adsorption amount controllability by circulation operation)
Next, in the DOP adsorption amount measurement, the DOP adsorption amount on the wafer surface when the air purifier is continuously circulated while introducing clean outside air into the clean room is measured, and the adsorption amount in the clean room atmosphere is reduced to 0. Table 1 shows the case where it can be controlled to less than 2 ng / cm 2 as ◯ and the case where it cannot be controlled as x.
[0043]
(Maintenance free)
When the photocatalyst has reached the end of its service life, it is necessary to replace and dispose of it, and when it can be maintained by heating and regenerating at 180 ° C for 1 hour in an inert gas, it can be maintained free without requiring such heat regenerating. When possible, it was evaluated as ◯ and shown in Table 1.
[0044]
[Table 1]
[0045]
As is apparent from Table 1, in the case of the embodiment of the present invention, the pressure loss is reduced by reducing the DOP adsorptivity by about the same as the conventional chemical filter or about 10% down without increasing the boron concentration in the air. Clearly, it can be achieved as an alternative to chemical filters. In addition, in the case of the embodiment of the present invention, it was confirmed that the lifetime was longer than that of the chemical filter and that the maintainability was excellent.
