Description
【0001】

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0031]
(1) Principle
In the conventional wireless communication device 20 (FIG. 12), for example, the input impedance Z1 of the
[0032]
For this reason, in the wireless communication apparatus of the present invention, for example, even when the second antenna element is covered by the user's hand, if the input impedance Z2 of the second antenna element can be made close to infinity, the array antenna It is considered that the entire input impedance Z can be maintained at a value substantially close to the impedance ZM of the
[0033]
That is, in the wireless communication apparatus of the present invention, when the second antenna element is covered by the user's hand, the input impedance Z of the entire array antenna when the input impedance Z2 of the second antenna element is made infinite. When the denominator and numerator of equation (3) are divided by the input impedance Z2, respectively, equation (3) becomes
[0034]
[Expression 4]
[0035]
It is represented by
[0036]
And the equation (4) is
[0037]
[Equation 5]
[0038]
When the input impedance Z2 of the second antenna element is infinite, the expression (5) is
[0039]
[Formula 6]
[0040]
It is represented by
[0041]
As described above, when the second antenna element is covered with the user's hand, the wireless communication apparatus has an infinite input impedance Z2 of the second antenna element. Z is substantially equivalent to the input impedance Z1 of the first antenna element.
[0042]
Therefore, the wireless communication apparatus can be seen from the Smith chart (FIG. 13 or FIG. 15) when the input impedance Z of the entire array antenna becomes equivalent to the input impedance Z1 (100 [Ω]) of the first antenna element. Since the reflection coefficient is surely below “1”, power can be transmitted and the antenna can be operated.
[0043]
Therefore, when considered on the Smith chart (FIG. 13), the angle from the horizontal axis indicating the input impedance with the distance from the center being the amplitude of the reflection coefficient represents the phase (dφ). It is considered that the phase should be such that the input impedance Z2 of the second antenna element approaches infinity when the antenna element is covered with a hand.
[0044]
