Description

The present invention relates to a packing fitted into a hollow housing and a hollow housing into which the packing is fitted, and more particularly to a technique for preventing the packing fitted into the housing from dropping or fitting failure.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, packing has been used for various devices and apparatuses, and for example, it is also frequently used for automobile-related devices.
As is well known, this packing is intended for waterproofing and sealing, and is one of important machine element parts.

The method of using the packing is roughly divided into a case where the male member is fitted on the outer side of the male member and the female member is engaged with the male member, and a case where the male member is fitted on the inner side of the female member (hollow housing). It may be engaged with a member.

In particular, when the packing is fitted inside the latter female member, it is necessary to prevent the packing from falling off. As one means, for example, a locking hole is provided at a required position of the female member to which the packing is fitted. Further, a technical means is disclosed in which a protruding portion engaging with the engaging hole is provided on a part of the outer side of the packing, and the packing is fitted inside the female member so as to insert the protruding portion into the engaging hole. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).

1)Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-150479 (page 7, FIG. 1)

However, the above-described conventional technology for preventing the packing f1 from falling off has the following problems because the shapes of the locking hole f21 and the projection f11 are linear as shown in FIG. Have

That is, when the protrusion f11 is inserted into the locking hole f21, the packing f1 is fitted inside the hollow housing f2, and the male member (not shown) is engaged in this state (during the assembly process). Often, an operator accidentally presses the tip of the protrusion f11 exposed from the outer surface of the hollow housing f2.

Normally, the protrusion f11 pushed inward in the housing f2 returns to the original position by the elastic force of the packing f1 simultaneously with the release of the pressure, but the conventional protrusion f11 and the locking hole f21 are straight. Therefore, in some cases, the edge of the tip of the projection f11 is caught in the locking hole f21. As a result, the packing f1 may remain in a state shifted from the required position or may fall off.

This state is shown in FIG.
That is, when the protrusion f11 is pushed in, the tip of the protrusion f11 rotates in the lower left direction (when the pressure contact surface that is in pressure contact with the inside of the housing f2 is at the upper part), and the original force is caused by the elastic force of the packing f1. When trying to return to the position, the edge of the tip of the projection f11 is caught while being pressed into the locking hole f21.

If the outer surface of the housing f2 is closed and the concave portion is provided only in the housing f2 so that the projection f11 is not exposed from the outer surface of the housing f2, it seems that there is no problem at first glance. Since it is necessary to easily visually check whether the housing is attached or not, the outer surface of the housing f2 cannot be closed. However, molding into such a shape complicates the mold and cannot be adopted from the viewpoint of productivity and economy.

Further, when the packing f1 is engaged with the male member while being fitted, the packing f1 is elastically deformed so as to be crushed and pushed up above the housing f2. Therefore, although slightly, the protrusion f11 enters the inside and then returns to the original position due to the elasticity of the packing f1, and in some cases, as described above, the edge of the protrusion f11 at the end is the locking hole. There is a case where the packing f1 is assembled in a state where it is caught in f21 and deviated from a required position.
Further, in some cases, the upper end of the packing f1 that has been elastically deformed so as to be pushed up above the housing f2 is caught between the top surface of the male member and the ceiling surface of the housing, which is a female member. There are cases where it cannot be attached to.

Therefore, the present invention enables the packing to be fitted into the hollow housing, and the hollow housing into which the packing is fitted to prevent the packing from being detached or misaligned so that the packing and the housing can be normally engaged. An object is to provide a packing and a housing.

In order to solve the above problems, the packing and the housing according to the present invention employ the following technical means.
That is, the packing according to claim 1 is a packing that is fitted in a hollow housing provided with a straight locking hole, and is formed with a pressure contact surface that is pressed against the inside of the housing. A protrusion that engages with the locking hole is provided at or near the end of the pressure contact surface, and the protrusion rotates in the locking hole about the pressure contact surface by an external force. It is formed in the shape of a slope so as not to interfere with the locking hole when pushed in.
The packing according to a second aspect is the packing center according to the first aspect, wherein the protrusion is pivoted when the protrusion is pushed into the locking hole so that the protrusion is rotated about the pressure contact surface side by an external force. It is characterized in that a required gap is formed between the outer edge of the protruding portion that is spaced from the outer edge of the protrusion and the inner surface of the locking hole that faces the distal edge.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a housing in which a locking hole is provided, and a packing in which a straight protrusion is provided at an end of the pressure contact surface or in the vicinity thereof is engaged with the locking hole and is fitted inside. When the locking hole is pushed into the locking hole so as to rotate around the pressure contact surface side pressed against the inside of the housing by an external force, the locking hole is It is characterized by being formed in a slope shape so as not to interfere with the protrusion.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided the housing according to the third aspect, wherein the locking hole rotates about the pressure contact surface side in which the protrusion is pressed against the inner side of the housing by an external force. When being pushed in, a required gap is formed between the leading edge of the protrusion outside the rotation center and the inner surface of the locking hole facing the leading edge. It is characterized by being.

According to the present invention, since either the packing or the housing is formed in a slanted shape so that the locking hole and the protruding portion do not interfere with each other, an external force toward the inside of the housing is temporarily applied to the protruding portion of the packing to Even if it is pushed in so that it can rotate, the edge of the protrusion is prevented from being caught in the locking hole when it returns to its original position due to the elastic force of the packing. Can be prevented.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a packing, and reference numeral 2 denotes a housing.

A packing 1 according to the present embodiment is made of an elastic body such as rubber or resin, and as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a bellows-like pressure contact surface 11 is formed which is pressed against the inside of a housing 2 described later. In addition, a projection 12 that engages with a locking hole 21 provided in the housing 2 described later is disposed in the vicinity of the lower end of the pressure contact surface 11 so as to be opposed to each other, and an opening 13 is provided in the center. It is formed into a shape.

The protrusion 12 is located outside the center of rotation when the protrusion 12 is pushed by an external force so as to rotate around the pressure contact surface 11 side in a locking hole 21 provided in the hollow housing 2 described later. The protrusion 12 is formed in a slope shape so that the side surface 12a of the protrusion 12 becomes substantially parallel to the straight locking hole 21 and gradually narrows toward the tip, and does not interfere with the locking hole 21. It is like that.

In the present embodiment, when the protrusion 12 is pushed in, the side surface 12a of the protrusion 12 is illustrated as being substantially parallel to the straight locking hole 21, but the protrusion 12 is engaged. The degree of inclination of the protrusion 12 is arbitrary as long as it does not interfere with the stop hole 21, and the tip of the protrusion 12 may be slightly upward or downward.

Further, the protrusion 12 and the lower end in the direction orthogonal to the plan view are formed with a recess 14 so that the required length is cut out, and the respective sides forming a substantially rectangular shape in plan view are shown in FIG. As shown, a convex curve is formed on the outside.

By forming in this way, the packing 1 having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view can be easily attached to the substantially rectangular locking hole 21 to be fitted, and the press contact surface 11 does not evenly dispose the inner surface of the locking hole 21. It can be pressed and brought into close contact.

Here, the hollow housing 2 that engages with the packing 1 will be described.
The housing 2 is a connector housing 2 mainly used for a vehicle. A substantially rectangular engaging recess 22 into which the above-described packing 1 is fitted is formed at an opening end, and the housing 2 is also provided. In the middle part, the outer shape of the straight engaging hole 21 (rectangular hole) into which the protrusion 12 is inserted is formed in a generally bowl shape.

Further, when a male member (not shown) is engaged with the inner surface side of the packing 1 with the packing 1 fitted, the packing 1 is crushed and pushed up above the housing f2. It is elastically deformed. At that time, the escape groove 23 for escaping the upper end portion of the packing 1 is recessed so that the upper end portion of the deformed packing 1 is not caught between the top surface of the male member and the ceiling surface of the housing that is the female member. It is installed.

Next, the state in which the packing 1 formed in this way is attached to the hollow housing 2 will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4.

First, the packing 1 is inserted into a predetermined position of the housing 2 and opened while the packing 1 is compressed so that the protruding portion 12 of the packing 1 is engaged with the locking hole 21 of the housing 2. The press contact surface 11 is pressed and fitted to the inner surface of the housing 2 with the elastic force (see FIG. 3).

Normally, another housing (not shown), which is a male member, is inserted inside the packing 1 while maintaining this state. At this time, the tip of the protruding portion 12 exposed from the outer surface of the hollow housing 2 is worked. A worker may accidentally press.

The state is shown in FIG. As shown in the figure, even if the tip of the projection 12 is pressed, the projection 12 is formed in a slope shape so as not to interfere with the locking hole 21. The edge portion 12b is not caught in the locking hole 21, or the packing 1 is not dropped off, and returns to a predetermined position by the elastic force of the packing 1 itself.

As shown in the figure, a required gap is formed between the edge 12b at the tip of the outer (lower) protrusion 12 spaced from the center of rotation and the inner surface of the locking hole 21 facing the edge 12b. Thus, even when the protrusion 12 is completely pushed in, the protrusion 12 does not interfere with the locking hole 21.

Further, when another housing (not shown), which is a male member, is inserted inside the packing 1, the upper end portion of the elastically deformed packing 1 escapes to the escape groove 23 to prevent biting.
As described above, the packing according to the present embodiment is further elastically deformed without the edge 12b at the tip of the protrusion 12 being caught in the locking hole 21 or the packing 1 falling off. Since the upper end of 1 is not bitten, the packing and the housing are normally engaged.

As described above, the packing 1 according to the present embodiment has been described. As illustrated in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the protruding portion 12 ′ of the packing 1 ′ is straight and the pressure contact surface 11 side is the center. When the protrusion 12 ′ is pushed so as to rotate, the locking hole 21 ′ of the housing 2 ′ may be formed in a slope shape that does not interfere with the protrusion 12 ′.

Even in this case, when the protrusion 12 ′ is pushed in, the edge 12b ′ at the tip of the protrusion 12 ′ outside (lower) the rotation center and the engaging hole facing the edge 12b ′. It is preferable that a required gap is formed between the inner surface 21 'and an escape groove 23' having the same configuration as the above-described escape groove 23 is extremely preferable (FIG. 5B). reference).

Further, in the present embodiment, the protrusions and the locking holes are illustrated as having a rectangular shape, but the shape is not limited to this, and any shape such as a circle or an ellipse may be used. The embodiment described above shows an example of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention. .
