Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle steering control device for controlling both lateral acceleration and yaw rate to appropriate values when a vehicle is turning.
[0002]
[Prior art]
With the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering gear box disconnected, the operation amount of the steering wheel is converted into an electrical signal, and the steering actuator connected to the steering gear box is driven based on the electrical signal to steer the wheel. In addition, a vehicle steering control device that applies a steering reaction force to the steering wheel by driving a steering reaction force actuator provided on the steering wheel according to the operation amount is known as SBW (steer-by-wire).
[0003]
In such a vehicle steering control apparatus, either the lateral acceleration or the yaw rate can be controlled to a desired characteristic by the lateral acceleration model following control or the yaw rate model following control.
[0004]
First, the motion of the vehicle in the horizontal plane is analyzed using the two-wheel equivalent model shown in FIG.
[0005]
The equation of motion in the lateral direction of the center of gravity CG of the vehicle and the equation of angular motion around the center of gravity CG of the vehicle are given by [Equation 1].
[0006]
[Expression 1]
[0007]
The front wheel total lateral force Fyf and the rear wheel total lateral force Fyr in [Equation 1] are given by [Equation 2], and [Equation 1] is further simplified by using the lateral acceleration YG of [Equation 3].
[0008]
[Expression 2]
[0009]
[Equation 3]
[0010]
When [Expression 1] to [Expression 3] are Laplace transformed and combined as a transfer function, [Expression 4] and [Expression 5] are obtained.
[0011]
[Expression 4]
[0012]
[Equation 5]
[0013]
Definitions of symbols in [Equation 4] and [Equation 5] are shown in [Equation 6].
[0014]
[Formula 6]
[0015]
By the way, in the vehicle steering control apparatus by SBW, for example, from the viewpoint of improving the turning performance of the vehicle, the response of the lateral acceleration YG can be enhanced by using the lateral acceleration model following control.
[0016]
As an example, the target lateral acceleration characteristic with respect to the steering wheel steering angle δ of the driver is a linear primary system shown in [Equation 7], and a front wheel steering control law that achieves (follows) this target is derived.
[0017]
[Expression 7]
[0018]
In an actual vehicle, the transfer function of the lateral acceleration YG with respect to the front wheel steering angle δf is defined as [Equation 5] to [Equation 8].
[0019]
[Equation 8]
[0020]
From the definitions of [Equation 7] and [Equation 8], when the target front wheel steering angle δfm is obtained such that the actual lateral acceleration YG becomes the target lateral acceleration YGm, that is, YG−YGm → 0, then [Equation 9] become that way.
[0021]
[Equation 9]
[0022]
From [Equation 9], for example, the target front wheel steering angle δfm is obtained from the lateral acceleration YG detected by the sensor, the steering wheel steering angle δ of the driver detected by the sensor, and each coefficient defined as the two-wheel equivalent model, for example, By reducing the target lateral acceleration time constant Tm, the target front wheel steering angle δfm that improves the response of the lateral acceleration YG can be obtained.
[0023]
The case where the response of the lateral acceleration YG is increased using the lateral acceleration model following control has been described above, but the response of the yaw rate γ can also be increased similarly using the yaw rate model following control. That is, by using the lateral acceleration model following control or the yaw rate model following control, any one of the desired lateral acceleration characteristics or yaw rate characteristics can be obtained.
[0024]
A vehicle steering control device for making the yaw rate of the vehicle coincide with the target yaw rate is known from the following patent document.
[0025]
[Patent Literature]
Japanese Patent No. 2861570 gazette
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, from the transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the front wheel steering angle δf in [Equation 4] and the transfer function of the lateral acceleration YG with respect to the front wheel steering angle δf in [Equation 5], the transfer function of the lateral acceleration YG with respect to the yaw rate γ is 10].
[0027]
[Expression 10]
[0028]
From [Equation 10], it can be seen that even if the response of the yaw rate γ is improved by the yaw rate model following control, the response of the lateral acceleration YG cannot be improved. This is because the existence of the yaw rate time constant Tγ indicates that in [Equation 10], the generation delay of the lateral acceleration YG with respect to the yaw rate γ increases as the vehicle speed V increases.
[0029]
Next, from [Expression 4] and [Expression 5], the transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the lateral acceleration YG is expressed by [Expression 11].
[0030]
[Expression 11]
[0031]
Focusing on the denominator coefficient of [Equation 11], as the vehicle speed V increases, the value of Ty1, which is the lateral
[0032]
Hereinafter, the reason will be described more specifically. First, a transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ when the lateral acceleration model following control is performed by the front wheel steering control is derived. Therefore, [Equation 12] is obtained by substituting the lateral acceleration YG of the target lateral acceleration characteristic of [Equation 7] into the lateral acceleration YG of the front wheel steering angle control law of [Equation 9].
[0033]
[Expression 12]
[0034]
When the front wheel steering angle δf of [Equation 12] is substituted into [Equation 4], [Equation 13] which is a transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering wheel steering angle δ is obtained.
[0035]
[Formula 13]
[0036]
[Equation 13] is a transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ when the front wheel steering angle is controlled so as to follow the linear primary lateral acceleration model.
[0037]
Now, pay attention to [Equation 14], which is the characteristic equation of [Equation 13].
[0038]
[Expression 14]
[0039]
Here, in order to improve the turning performance of the vehicle, when the time constant Tm of the target lateral acceleration characteristic is set small, as apparent from [Equation 15], the three roots of [Equation 14] which is the characteristic equation ( Of the poles), the real root (real pole) increases in the negative direction.
[0040]
[Expression 15]
[0041]
Therefore, the arrangement (pole arrangement) of the three roots of [Equation 14] is as shown in the complex plan view of FIG.
[0042]
In FIG. 2, when the time constant Tm is made closer to 0, the real pole moves toward the infinite distance of the real axis, and at this time, among the complex complex poles R 1 and
[0043]
[Expression 16]
[0044]
FIG. 3 shows the trajectories of the conjugate complex poles R1 and R2 with respect to the increase in the vehicle speed V from [Equation 16]. As the vehicle speed V increases, the attenuation of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ may decrease. I understand.
[0045]
From the above, when the front wheel steering control is performed by the lateral acceleration model following control, the attenuation characteristic of the yaw rate γ can be improved even if the time constant Tm is set small to improve the response of the lateral acceleration YG. There will be no.
[0046]
On the other hand, when the time constant Tm is set so as to reduce the response of the lateral acceleration YG, the root of the part of [Equation 15] of the characteristic equation [Equation 14] is the origin of the complex plane in FIG. , The root governs the transient characteristics of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ. Specifically, as the real pole of [Equation 15] approaches the origin, the transient characteristic of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ of the steering wheel decreases and rises, but stabilizes.
[0047]
As described above, in the vehicle steering control device using the SBW, even if the lateral acceleration model following control or the yaw rate model following control is performed, the transient interrelationship between the yaw rate γ and the lateral acceleration YG is a vehicle-specific specification. Because it is controlled, it is impossible to control both the yaw rate γ and the lateral acceleration YG to the desired characteristics.
[0048]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and an object thereof is to achieve both vehicle lateral acceleration responsiveness and yaw rate damping by combined control of lateral acceleration and yaw rate.
[0049]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, according to the first aspect of the present invention, a steering wheel angle detecting means for detecting a steering wheel angle, a vehicle speed detecting means for detecting a vehicle speed, and a lateral acceleration detection for detecting lateral acceleration. Means, a yaw rate detecting means for detecting a yaw rate, a front wheel rudder angle calculating means for calculating a front wheel rudder angle for obtaining a target lateral acceleration based on a steering wheel steering angle, a vehicle speed and a lateral acceleration; Steering means for generating a steering angle, yaw moment calculating means for calculating a yaw moment based on a damping factor and a yaw rate for obtaining a preset target yaw rate attenuation rate, and yaw moment generation for generating the yaw moment in a vehicle A vehicle steering control device is provided.
[0050]
According to the above configuration, the front wheel steering angle for obtaining the target lateral acceleration is calculated based on the steering wheel steering angle, the vehicle speed, and the lateral acceleration, the front wheel steering angle is generated by the steering means, and the preset target yaw rate is attenuated. The yaw moment is calculated based on the damping factor and the yaw rate to obtain the rate, and this yaw moment is generated by the yaw moment generating means, so that the yaw rate is attenuated while improving the response of the lateral acceleration to the steering angle during steering. Can be increased.
[0051]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, in addition to the configuration of the first aspect, there is provided differential / delay means for adding a differential element and a delay element to the yaw moment calculated by the yaw moment calculation means. A vehicle steering control device is proposed.
[0052]
According to the above configuration, since the differential element and the delay element are added to the calculated yaw moment so that damping is effective only in the steering transient state, the yaw moment and the front wheel rudder angle for canceling it in the steady state after the steering. The amount of control can be reduced together to prevent inefficient use of the tire.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described based on examples of the present invention shown in the accompanying drawings.
[0055]
As shown in FIG. 4, the vehicle of this embodiment includes a differential limiting device (LSD) 11 between the left and right wheels W. The differential limiting
[0056]
[Formula 1A]
[0057]
The yaw moment Mz is defined using a damping factor D that achieves a preset target yaw rate attenuation rate ζγ, as shown in [Equation 17].
[0058]
[Expression 17]
[0059]
It has already been explained that the transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ when the characteristic equation of the target lateral acceleration YGm in [Equation 7] is followed is given by [Equation 13]. By [Equation 1A] and [Equation 17], the transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering wheel steering angle δ is given by [Equation 13A]. This transfer function is a transfer function of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ of the steering wheel when the front wheels are steered to follow the linear primary lateral acceleration model and the yaw moment Mz is further added.
[0060]
[Expression 13A]
[0061]
Now, pay attention to the following characteristic equation in which the denominator of this transfer function = 0.
[0062]
[Formula 18]
[0063]
For example, if the time constant Tm of the target lateral acceleration characteristic is set to be small in order to improve the turning performance of the vehicle, the real root (= real pole) of the three roots (= poles) of [Formula 18] is negative. In this case, the congruent complex pole, that is, the root of the part of [Equation 19] of [Equation 18] dominates the transient characteristic of the yaw rate γ with respect to the steering angle δ of the steering wheel.
[0064]
[Equation 19]
[0065]
Accordingly, the damping factor D for achieving the target yaw rate attenuation rate ζγ by adding the yaw moment Mz in [Equation 17] is calculated as in [Equation 19] to [Equation 20].
[0066]
[Expression 20]
[0067]
By giving the damping factor D of [Equation 20], the target yaw rate attenuation characteristic ζγ can be achieved in addition to the lateral acceleration follow (improvement of the lateral acceleration response) by the front wheel steering angle control.
[0068]
Next, a specific method for giving the damping factor D of [Equation 20] by controlling the yaw moment Mz using the differential limiting
[0069]
In FIG. 4, the front / rear slip ratio S of the left and right wheels W, W is given by [Equation 21].
[0070]
[Expression 21]
[0071]
In the differential device using viscous coupling, if the differential limiting torque due to the viscous resistance C is proportional to the speed difference between the left and right wheels W, W, the left and right wheels proportional to the slip ratio S of [Equation 21]. In order to balance the braking / driving force difference X between W and W, [Equation 22] is established.
[0072]
[Expression 22]
[0073]
Ks is a braking / driving force stiffness. Therefore, from [Expression 22], the left and right axle rotation speed difference Δω is given by [Expression 23].
[0074]
[Expression 23]
[0075]
From [Equation 22] and [Equation 23], the braking / driving force difference X between the left and right wheels W, W is given by [Equation 24].
[0076]
[Expression 24]
[0077]
The yaw moment Mz acting as yaw rate attenuation is given by [Equation 17] and [Equation 24] to [Equation 25].
[0078]
[Expression 25]
[0079]
When the viscous resistance C of the viscous coupling is C → ∞ at the time of differential limiting, the maximum yaw moment Mz by the differential limiting
[0080]
[Equation 26]
[0081]
From [Equation 26], the damping factor D is given by [Equation 27].
[0082]
[Expression 27]
[0083]
The maximum yaw moment Mz generated when the damping factor D of [Equation 27] performs differential limiting with the differential limiting
[0084]
[Expression 28]
[0085]
The calculation result of [Equation 28] is for the case where both the front wheel and the rear wheel are differentially limited.
[0086]
Following the target lateral acceleration (second-order lag system) by front wheel steering control and differential limiting by the differential limiting
[0087]
In the comparative example of FIG. 5, there is a slight delay in the response of the lateral acceleration YG that rises with steering, and the yaw rate γ and the side slip angle β diverge. On the other hand, in the embodiment of FIG. 6, the front wheel steering angle control amount δa by the steering actuator 13 (see FIG. 1) and the yaw moment Mz by the differential limiting
[0088]
By the way, although the differential limiting
[0089]
When the target yaw rate attenuation rate ζγ is set large in [Equation 20], the damping factor D increases, and from [Equation 17], the yaw moment Mz during steady turning after completion of steering increases. That is, as apparent from a comparison between FIGS. 6 and 7, the yaw moment Mz during steady turning increases in FIG. 7 in which the target yaw rate attenuation rate ζγ is set larger. The large yaw moment Mz can be generated by the direct yaw
[0090]
This means that, as a result of the yaw moment Mz increasing when passing through a certain curve, the front wheel steering control amount δa for canceling it increases, which results in inefficient use of the tire. In order to prevent this, based on [Equation 17A] in which a differential element and a delay element are added to [Equation 17], control is performed so that damping is effective only in a steering transient state.
[0091]
[Expression 17A]
[0092]
FIG. 8 shows the calculation result of the control based on [Equation 17A] to which a differential element and a delay element are added. As is clear from comparison with FIG. 7, during steady turning after the steering is completed. It can be seen that the yaw moment Mz at is reduced, and the front wheel steering angle control amount δa is rapidly reduced accordingly and converges to zero.
[0093]
FIG. 9 shows a block diagram of a control system of the vehicle steering control device. The vehicle steering control device includes a front wheel steering angle calculation means 14, a yaw moment calculation means 15, and a differentiation / delay means 16, and a steering wheel steering angle δ detected by the steering wheel steering angle detection means S1 and a vehicle speed detection means. The vehicle speed V detected at S2 and the lateral acceleration YG detected by the lateral acceleration detection means S3 are input to the front wheel steering angle calculation means 14 so that the front wheel steering angle δf calculated by the front wheel steering angle calculation means 14 is obtained. The operation of the
[0094]
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, various design changes can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0095]
For example, in the embodiment, the vehicle steering control device by SBW is exemplified, but the present invention can also be applied to a manual steering device to which an electric power steering device is added. In this case, as shown in FIG. 9, a similar effect can be obtained by subtracting the steering wheel gear ratio multiplied by the steering gear ratio from the front wheel steering angle δf output by the front wheel steering angle calculation means 14. .
[0096]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the front wheel steering angle for obtaining the target lateral acceleration is calculated based on the steering angle, the vehicle speed, and the lateral acceleration, and the front wheel steering angle is generated by the steering means. The yaw moment is calculated based on the damping factor and the yaw rate for obtaining a preset target yaw rate attenuation rate, and this yaw moment is generated by the yaw moment generating means. The attenuation of the yaw rate can be increased while improving the response.
[0097]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the differential element and the delay element are added to the calculated yaw moment so that the damping is effective only in the steering transient state. It is possible to prevent the inefficient use of the tire by reducing both the front wheel steering angle control amount for canceling the engine.
