About the system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A chat system is composed of a chat server and a plurality of chat clients connected to a network, and a virtual conversation space called a channel set up on the network is shared by a plurality of chat clients, so that text messages can be sent in real time. It is a conversation system that can send and receive.
The chat server broadcasts the character string conversation message transmitted from each chat client to other chat clients in the same channel.
[0003]
Each chat client is uniquely specified by an identifier called a nickname, and a character string conversation message in a channel can also specify a speaker by a nickname.
Usually, a chat server provides a plurality of channels, and a channel name for uniquely specifying each channel is given (Non-Patent Document 1).
There is also a VoIP system that transmits and receives voice packets using an IP (Internet Protocol) network to perform voice conversation. In this VoIP system, a VoIP conference room equivalent to a chat channel is set in a VoIP server called MCU (Multipoint Control Unit), and multiple users are connected via clients connected to this VoIP conference room. Enables voice conversation.
[0004]
Each client terminal is managed by a CM (Call Manager) installed on the server side, and simultaneous voice conversations by a plurality of persons are possible by performing call control from each client. Therefore, the voice of the client connected to the conference room for VoIP is distributed to other clients connected to the same conference room for VoIP. Will be distributed to each client (Non-Patent Documents 2 to 3).
By using the chat system as described above, a plurality of users have conversations in a channel, and thus, collaborative work using information terminals has been actively performed. In addition, due to the speeding up and widespread use of IP networks, telephone conferences using VoIP systems are beginning to be used.
[0005]
In a chat system, a personal computer or other terminal equipped with a chat application is always connected to the IP network. In a VoIP system, a personal phone or personal computer terminal equipped with a VoIP application is always connected to the IP network. It is used in the state and both are used independently.
