【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、建設現場等において使用される巻き尺の如き携帯工具を着脱自在に保持するホルダに関するものであって、該ホルダを作業者のベルトに確実に装着しようとするものである。

【従来の技術】
巻き尺等の携帯工具は、持ち運びが容易でその使用に際して簡単に取り出すことができるよう作業者のベルトに直接引っ掛けるクリップタイプの保持機構が備えられている。

ところで、かかる保持機構はその挟持力が一定であることから、作業者が厚みのあるベルトを使用している場合にはその着脱が容易でなく、逆に厚みの薄いベルトを使用している場合には作業者の姿勢によってはその保持位置が簡単にずれて抜け落ちる等の不具合があった。

このような問題の解決を図る試みとしては、上部開放型のケースに工具を入れ込み該ケースをベルト通し部で作業者のベルトに係止する構造のものが提案されており、この点に関する先行技術としては、特許第2756783号明細書に開示されたセーフティホルダーが知られている。

上記のセーフティホルダーはケースのベルト通し部に偏平開口が形成されていて、この偏平開口に作業者のベルトを通すことによって係止するものであって、クリップタイプの保持機構にみられるような抜け落ち等の不具合を改善できるとされていた。

しかしながら、作業者が使うベルトは50mm幅と60mm幅の2つが主流となっており、これらのベルトの全てに対応するためにはホルダのケースに設けられるベルト通し部は幅の広いベルトに適合するように設計しなければならないところ、狭幅のベルトにこのようなベルト通し部を有するホルダを装着した場合に、ベルト通し部とベルトとの間に隙間ができるため装着姿勢が安定せず、工具の着脱に際しては、ホルダが工具とともに上又は下に動いてしまい、工具の着脱操作に支障をきたすことも懸念されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明の課題は、作業者が使用しているベルトのサイズにかかわりなしに確実に装着できる新規な携帯工具用ホルダを提案するところにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、携帯工具に固定保持するブラケットと、このブラケットを差し込んで携帯工具を保持するホルダ本体からなり、
前記ホルダ本体の背面に長辺壁と短辺壁とを組み合わせてベルトを通す偏平開口を区画するベルト通し部を設け、このベルト通し部に着脱自在に係合して該偏平開口の開口幅を調整するスペーサを配置し、
前記スペーサは、ベルト通し部の短辺壁を挟持するベースと、このベースに固定保持されベルト通し部を通過するベルトを偏平開口内で幅方向に押圧する弾性部材からなることを特徴とする携帯工具用ホルダである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を用いて本発明をより具体的に説明する。

図1は本発明に従う携帯工具用ホルダの構成を示したものであり、図において1は巻き尺を例として示した携帯工具、2は携帯工具1にねじ止め等の締結手段によって固定保持することができるブラケット、3はブラケット2を差し込んで携帯工具1を保持するホルダ本体である。

また、4はホルダ本体3の背面に一体的に設けられたベルト通し部であって、このベルト通し部4は図2にホルダ本体3の背面を示すように長辺壁4aとこの長辺壁4aにつながる短辺壁4bからなっていて、これらの組み合わせにて偏平開口Hを区画するようになっている。

また、5はベルト通し部4に着脱自在に係合して偏平開口Hの開口幅h を調整するスペーサである。このスペーサ5はその外観を図3に示すようにベルト通し部4の上側または下側の短辺壁4bをその長さ方向において挟持するベース5aとこのベース5aに固定保持されベルト通し部4を通過するベルトを偏平開口H内でその幅方向に押圧する弾性部材5bからなっている。

幅60mmになるベルトに装着可能なホルダにおいて例えば幅50mmのベルトに装着する場合に、ベルト通し部4にスペーサ5を配置することにより偏平開口Hの開口幅h に形成される隙間をなくすことができ安定した状態での保持が可能になる。

上掲図2ではスペーサ5のベース5aは端面壁4bをその長さ方向において挟持する場合を例として示したが図4に示すように短辺壁4bの厚さ方向で挟み込むような形式のものでもよく、また、図5に示すようにベース5aの側面に押しボタンを設け、この押しボタンを長辺壁4aに設けた開口に嵌合させる構造であってもかまわない。

弾性部材5bについては、両端に向かって跳ね上がった形持ち支持になる図6に示すような形状を有するもののほか、図7に示すようなOリング形式のもの、図8に示すようなスプリング形式のもの、あるいは図9に示すような複数の弾性舌片を有するもの等が適用できる。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、スペーサをホルダのベルト通し部に配置することで幅の狭いベルトに装着しても安定した状態での保持が可能となり携帯工具を着脱する操作を円滑に行うことができる。

また、スペーサはホルダのベルト通し部に嵌合させてあるだけなので簡単に取り外すことが可能で、正規のサイズになるベルトに装着する場合にも容易に対応し得る。
