【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、ベース部材と開閉部材との間に配設されて、ベース部材と開閉部材とを相対的に揺動開閉自在に接続する蝶番装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
上記のような蝶番装置は遊技機に多用されており、その一例として、パチンコ機における外枠と前枠との間に配設される蝶番装置があげられる。パチンコ機の蝶番装置は、外郭方形状の開口を有する外枠とこの開口面域に合わせた開閉搭載用の前枠との互いの正面左側上下に配設された上下一対の蝶番装置からなる。上下の蝶番装置はそれぞれ、図10に示すように、水平に配設された第1板状部801に軸支持孔802が形成された第1ヒンジ部材800と、水平に配設された第2板状部806から上方に突出する支軸807が固設された第2ヒンジ部材805とから構成される。このような構成の上下一対の蝶番装置において、軸支持孔802内に支軸807を嵌入させて第1および第2ヒンジ部材800,805を水平に相対回動自在に接続させることにより、外枠に対して前枠を揺動開閉および着脱可能に支持するように構成している。

ところが、上記のような従来の蝶番装置では、外枠に対して前枠を装着しようとするときに、上下両方の蝶番装置の軸支持孔802と支軸807とをともに位置合わせして(軸心を一致させて)係合させなければならず、作業が容易でないという問題があった。特に、遊技施設内での装着にあっては、外枠が遊技島に固定されて移動不能であるとともに、前枠には遊技盤や裏機構盤、制御装置等が組み込まれて相当な重量(例えば、15〜20kg)を有しており、さらに蝶番装置が重心位置と離れた側方に位置しているため、上下2カ所の位置決めを行う装着作業が極めて困難であるという問題があった。

このような問題に鑑みて、例えば、図11に示すように、第1ヒンジ部材800′の板状部801に外側面から軸支持孔802に繋がる導入開口803を形成し、第2ヒンジ部材805′の支軸807の左右を平面状にカットして平面部807a,807aを形成し、支軸807の左右平面部807a,807aの幅が導入開口803の幅より僅かに狭くなるように構成することが知られている。この構成では、支軸807の左右平面部807a,807aを導入開口803を通過させることにより支軸807を側方から軸支持孔802内に挿入させることができ、この状態で第1および第2ヒンジ部材800′,805′を水平に相対回動させれば、左右平面部807a,807aが軸支持孔802内に回動自在に保持される。このように構成すれば、軸支持孔802と支軸807とを上下に位置合わせすることなく支軸807を横方向に移動させて軸支持孔802内に嵌入させることができるため、外枠に前枠を取り付ける作業が簡単となる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、この構成の場合は、軸支持孔802の導入開口803と支軸807の左右平面部807a,807aとが対向する位置まで前枠を回動させると支軸807が軸支持孔802から外れ出て、前枠が外れるという問題がある。なお、導入開口803の位置を前枠の回動範囲から外れた位置に設けて上記問題を防止することが考えられるが、導入開口の配設位置が制限されるとともに前枠の組立時には導入開口と支軸の左右平面部が対向する位置に前枠を位置させる必要があり、前枠の組立作業が難しくなるおそれがあるという問題がある。

本発明は、上記問題や課題に鑑みて成されたものであり、簡明な構成で外枠等に対して前枠等を容易に着脱させることができるとともに、一旦装着した後は、その回動位置に拘わらず前枠等を外れることなくしっかりと保持することができるような構成の遊技機の蝶番装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記問題および課題を解決して目的を達成するため、本発明に係る蝶番装置は、遊技機の側部上下に配設されてベース部材(例えば、実施形態における外枠1)に対して開閉部材(例えば、実施形態における前枠2)を揺動開閉自在にヒンジ接続させる上下一対の蝶番装置における少なくとも一方の蝶番装置であって、ベース部材および開閉部材のいずれか一方の部材に固設された第1ヒンジ部材(例えば実施形態における上固定金具10)と、他方の部材に固設された第2ヒンジ部材(例えば実施形態における上揺動金具30)とから構成される。そして、第1ヒンジ部材は上記一方の部材に固設されて水平前方に延びた第1ヒンジ側板状部と、この第1ヒンジ側板状部に上方もしくは下方に突出して取り付けられた支軸を有して構成され、第2ヒンジ部材は、上記他方の部材に固設されて水平に突出するとともに側方に開口した第1導入部を有する第1軸支持孔が形成された第2ヒンジ側板状部と、第1軸支持孔と同軸に且つ上下に連通するとともに側方に開口した第2導入部を有する第2軸支持孔が形成されて第2ヒンジ側板状部の上に重ねて回動可能に取り付けられた保持部材とから構成され、保持部材の回動位置を調整して第2導入部を第1導入部と上下に重なって同一方向に開口させた状態で、支軸を第1および第2導入部を通って第1および第2軸支持孔内に入り込ませた後、第2導入部が第1導入部から外れる位置まで保持部材を回動させることにより支軸を前記第1および第2軸支持孔内に入り込んだ状態で保持して第1および第2ヒンジ部材をヒンジ接続するように構成されている。

上記のように構成された本発明に係る蝶番装置によれば、ベース部材(外枠)に対して開閉部材(前枠)を接続させるときに、上下2カ所の軸支持孔と支軸とを同時に位置合わせ(芯出し)して係合させるような微妙な調整操作が必要なく、少なくとも一方の蝶番装置については第1ヒンジ部材に対して第2ヒンジ部材を側方から近づけて第1ヒンジ部材の支軸を第2ヒンジ部材の導入部を通って軸支持孔内に導入させた後に、保持部材により支軸を軸支持孔内に保持させるだけで、第1および第2ヒンジ部材を簡単にヒンジ結合させることができる。このようにヒンジ結合した状態では、支軸は保持部材により保持されて軸支持孔から外れ出ないようになっているため、開閉部材をどのような開閉位置に回動させてもヒンジ結合がしっかりと維持される。このため、板状部への導入開口の配設位置が制限されることがなく、前枠の組立が行い易い位置に導入開口を形成して前枠の組立作業を容易にすることができる。

また、導入部は軸支持孔の側方に開口しているため、開閉部材の重量によりヒンジ接続部に水平前方に作用する力は、軸支持孔における導入部を外れた内面と軸状体との当接により受け止める。すなわち、開閉部材の重量によりヒンジ接続部に水平前方に作用する力は板状部により受けることができ、十分な強度を確保できる。一方、保持部材は上記水平前方に作用する力を受け止める必要はないため大きな強度は要求されず、保持部材を樹脂等から作ってコスト低減を図ることが可能である。

そして、支軸を第1および第2導入部を通って第1および第2軸支持孔内に入り込ませるときに、左右一対の平面部が第2導入部の左右一対の開口壁面と当接するようにして支軸を第2導入部に入り込ませることにより第2導入部を押し広げるように保持部材を弾性変形させて支軸を第2軸支持孔内に入り込ませることができ、且つ左右一対の平面部が第1導入部の左右一対の開口壁面間をスムーズに通過して支軸を第1支持孔内に入り込ませることができるように構成されている。
なお、この場合に、好ましくは、第2ヒンジ側板状部が鋼板から形成され、保持部材が硬質樹脂材料から形成される。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明に係る遊技機の蝶番装置について、添付図面を参照しながら説明する。実施例では遊技機の一例としてパチンコ機を採り上げ、外枠に対して前枠を揺動開閉および着脱自在に連結する蝶番装置に本発明を適用した場合を主として説明する。まず、本実施例の蝶番装置が適用されるパチンコ機PMについてその概要構成を、図1を参照して要約説明する。

パチンコ機PMは外郭方形枠サイズに構成されて縦向きの固定保持枠を成す外枠1の開口前面に、これに合わせた方形枠サイズに構成されて開閉搭載用の前枠2が互いの正面左側上下に配設された蝶番装置H1,H2で横開き開閉および着脱が可能に取り付けられ、正面右側に設けられた施錠装置4を利用して外枠1と係合された閉鎖状態で遊技に供される。

前枠2の各部にはパチンコ遊技を展開する遊技展開部材として、前枠2の前側面域に合わせてガラス扉5及び上球皿6が左側部に設けられた蝶番装置(図示せず)を利用してともに横開き開閉及び着脱が可能に組付けられる一方、上球皿6の下部に下球皿7、操作ハンドル8及び打球発射装置等が装備されている。前枠2の裏側には、この前枠2と一体成形された収容枠に所定のゲージ設定で構成された遊技盤9が着脱可能にセット保持され、収容枠の裏側に球貯留部や賞球払出機構等を有する裏機構盤(図示せず)が開閉及び着脱可能に装備されている。裏機構盤の各部には主制御基板やターミナル基板、音声基板等の各種基板や電子部品などが取り付けられ、各機器が図示しないワイヤーハーネスで接続されている。なお、パチンコ機PMは、全体が所要の後傾角度(例えば、1度以内の後傾角)で縦向きに保持される。

このような構成の下側の蝶番装置H2と組み合わせて設けられる上側の蝶番装置H1の好ましい実施形態について以下に説明する。この蝶番装置H1はその斜視図を図3に示すように、外枠1の左側上部に固設される上固定金具10(第1ヒンジ部材)と、前枠2の左側上部に固設される上揺動金具30(第2ヒンジ部材)とから構成され、後述するように上固定金具10と上揺動金具30とがヒンジ結合される。なお、図3は上固定金具10と上揺動金具30とをヒンジ結合させる以前の状態を斜視図として示しており、以下、図4〜図9にこれら金具およびそれを用いた外枠1に対する前枠2のヒンジ結合作動を示すが、これら各図は蝶番装置を明瞭に示すためガラス扉5を取り外した状態で記載している。

上固定金具10は、外枠1の左上方角部に固定される固定側基部11と、この固定側基部11から前方に向けて水平に突出する固定側板状部15と、固定側板状部15の上面に上方に突出して取り付けられた支軸20とを有して構成される。固定側基部11は、外枠1の左上部に形成された上部取付面に固着される上辺部12と、上辺部12と直交し外枠1の左外側面に形成された側部取付面に固着される側辺部13と、上辺部12および側辺部13と直交し外枠1の前端面に当接する前辺部14とからなり、前辺部14の下端に繋がって固定側板状部15が水平前方に延びている。すなわち、上固定金具10は、固定側基部11と固定側板状部15とが所定板厚の鋼板を打ち抜きおよびプレス成形して図示する形状に一体形成された後、上記直交する三辺12,13,14で外枠1の左上方角部に位置決めされ、ビス12a,13a等により外枠1に固定される。

固定側板状部15には、上記のように固定側基部11が外枠1に固定された状態で、図2に示す下側の蝶番装置H2における下固定金具110の支軸115の軸芯Axと同軸に延びて且つ上方に突出して支軸20が取り付けられている。この支軸20は、図8から分かるように、下端側にフランジ部21が設けられた円筒部22を有して構成され、固定側板状部15に形成された貫通孔16に円筒部22を下面側から圧入して取り付けられている。この圧入時にフランジ部21は固定側板状部15の下面に当接して圧入位置決めがなされ、このように圧入された状態で円筒部22における固定側板状部15の上面から上方に突出する部分に左右一対の垂直面からなる平面部23,23が形成されている。これら平面部23,23は外枠1の垂直な前面と平行に延びて位置するように支軸20が固定側板状部15に取り付けられている。なお、円筒部22の上端には円錐状に面取り22aが設けられている。

一方、上固定金具10にヒンジ接続される上揺動金具30は、前枠2の裏面側に固定される揺動側基部31と、この揺動側基部31から直角に折り曲げられて前方に水平に突出する揺動側板状部32と、揺動側板状部32の上に回動可能に取り付けられる保持部材40とから構成される。揺動側基部31および揺動側板状部32は、所定板厚の鋼板を打ち抜きおよび曲げ成形して図示する形状に成形した後、前枠2の左上部裏面にネジ38等の締結手段を利用して固定される。なお、揺動側基部31には一対の取り付け位置決め突起31aが設けられており、前枠2が外枠1に閉止されたときに、外枠1に形成された取り付け位置決め凹部(図示せず)内に突起31aが嵌入して、位置決め保持される。

この上揺動金具30において、揺動側板状部32から保持部材40を取り外した状態を図4および図5に示しており、これらの図から分かるように、揺動側板状部32には側方に開口した第1導入部34を有した第1軸支持孔33が形成されている。この第1導入部34を形成する一対の開口壁面35,35の間隔Bは、上固定金具10の支軸20における一対の平面23,23の幅Aとほぼ等しく(間隔Bが間隔Aより僅かに大きく)設定されており、平面23,23が開口壁面35,35の間の第1導入部34を通るようにして、支軸20が第1軸支持孔33内に入り込むことができるようになっている。このとき、支軸20の導入を補助するため、上記開口壁面35の外周側には外側に広がるテーパ状となった導入ガイド面35aが形成されている。なお、第1軸支持孔33の直径は支軸20の円筒部22の直径より僅かに大きく且つ第1導入部34の間隔Bより十分大きく設定されている。また、揺動側板状部32には第1軸支持孔33を挟んで一対のネジ孔36が形成されている。

保持部材40は、例えば、硬質樹脂材料を成形して作られ、円盤状のフランジ部41と、このフランジ部41から上方に突出する外形が多角形(本例では、八角形)状の柱状部45とから構成され、中央にフランジ部41および柱状部45を上下に貫通する第2軸支持孔46が形成されている。フランジ部41および柱状部は一部が外周側に広がる扇状に切り欠かれて第2導入部42が形成されている。この第2導入部42を形成する左右一対の開口壁面43,43の内周端43a,43aの間隔Cは、上固定金具10の支軸20における一対の平面23,23の幅Aより若干狭く設定されており、平面23,23が第2導入部42を通って支軸20が第2軸支持孔46内に入り込むときに、第2導入部42を押し広げるように保持部材40を弾性変形させるようになっている。このため、支軸20を第2軸支持孔46内に押し込む力が必要であるが、支軸20が第2軸支持孔46内に入り込んだときには、保持部材40の弾性変形が元に戻って支軸20を第2軸支持孔46内で仮支持させることができる。

以上のように構成される蝶番装置H1,H2をヒンジ結合させるときの作動について以下に説明する。図3,図4、図6(a)等に示すように外枠1と前枠2とが分離された状態から上下の蝶番装置H1,H2を連結接続させる場合に、作業者はまず下側の蝶番装置H2に着目し、外枠側の下固定金具110と前枠側の下揺動金具130とを連結させる。すなわち、下固定金具の支軸115に軸孔135を位置決めして前枠2を上方から下動させ、支軸115と軸孔135とを嵌合接続させ、支持面部112で被支持面部132を支持させる。これにより、前枠2の重量が下固定金具10で支持され、嵌合接続点を中心とした円錐状の角度範囲内で前枠2を容易に傾動させることができるようになる。

次いで、作業者は上側の蝶番装置H1に着目し、外枠側の上固定金具10と前枠側の上揺動金具30との連結操作を行う。連結操作は下側の蝶番装置H2で支持されている前枠2を傾動させて上揺動金具30を上固定金具10の右側方から接近させて行う(図6(a)の矢印P参照)。但し、このときには、上揺動金具30において、揺動側板状部32の第1導入部34と保持部材40の第2導入部42が上下に連通するように保持部材40の回動位置を設定しておく(図6(a)および図8(a)の状態)。そして、支軸20をこれら第1および第2導入部34,42を通過させて上下に繋がる第1および第2軸支持孔33,46内に入り込ませるように、前枠2を傾動させる。

これにより、支軸20の平面23,23が第1および第2導入部34,42の間を通過して支軸20が第1および第2軸支持孔33,46内に入り込む。このとき、上述したように、支軸20は第1導入部34をほぼ抵抗無く侵入可能であるが、第2導入部42を通って支軸20が第2軸支持孔46内に入り込むときに第2導入部42を押し広げるように保持部材40を弾性変形させるようになっているため、支軸20を所定の押し込み力を加えて第2軸支持孔46内に押し込む必要がある。このようにして、支軸20が第1および第2軸支持孔33,46内に入り込ませたときに、保持部材40の弾性変形が元に戻って支軸20は第1および第2軸支持孔33,46内で仮支持される。このため、この状態で前枠2のふらつき(自由傾動)が抑制され、前枠2は外枠1に安定した状態で結合保持される。この状態を、図7および図8(a)に示している。但し、このままでは、前枠2の上部を左側方に押すと、支軸20が保持部材40の第2導入部42を押し広げて第1および第2軸支持孔33,46から抜け出す。

一方、前枠2の取り外しは、前枠2を外枠1に対して所定角度開放させた状態で、そのまま上方に引き上げる簡単な操作で達成される。すなわち、前枠2を上方に引き上げることにより、上側の蝶番装置H1における揺動側板状部32(第1および第2軸支持孔33,46)が上動されて支軸20の上側に外れ、同時に下側の蝶番装置H2における軸孔部135が上動されて軸後部135と支軸115との係合が解除され、上下の蝶番装置H1,H2のヒンジ結合がともに解除されるので、そのまま前枠2を取り外すことができる。

このように、上記蝶番装置H1,H2によれば、外枠1に前枠2を取り付けるときに、上下の蝶番装置における支軸と軸支持孔(係合孔)とを同時に位置決めさせる必要がなく、一カ所ずつ位置決めし係合させればよいため、重量物たる前枠2を外枠1に容易にヒンジ接続させることができる。一方、取り外し作業に際しては、前枠2を上方に引き上げるというだけの簡単な操作で外枠1に対するヒンジ接続を解除させることができる。

なお、外枠1に対して前枠2を開放させて支持させたときには、前枠2の重量により上側の蝶番装置に前枠2の開放端側(反連結側、すなわち施錠装置4側)を押し下げるようなモーメントが作用し、このモーメントは上固定金具10を前枠2の開放方向すなわち前方に引っ張る力として作用する。本発明の蝶番装置H1においては、このような力は、第1軸支持孔33の後側内面(図4におけるハッチングDを施した部分)に支軸20が当接することにより受け止め、強度の高い揺動側板状部32により支持して、高い長期信頼性と操作性とを両立させている。なお、このように揺動側板状部32により上記力を受けるようにしているため、保持部材40により上記力を受ける必要がなく、保持部材40を樹脂等により作ってコスト低減を図ることができる。
