本発明は、テレビジョン受像機、ディスプレイ装置等の音声信号再生装置に関する。

最近、DVDに象徴されるように、大容量のサラウンド音声信号を再生可能とする音声再生装置が登場し、ホ−ムシアタ−サラウンド音声再生が要望されている。その必要性はテレビジョン受像機等においても同様である。

ホ−ムシアタ−サラウンド音声再生装置として例えば、特開平10−191203号公報が提案されている。特開平10−191203号公報では、L(左)、R(右)、S(サラウンド)用のスピ−カとして、それぞれテレビジョン受像機内蔵とは別に外部スピ−カを準備し、テレビジョン受像機内蔵のL,Rのスピ−カにはC(センタ)信号を入力してセンタスピ−カとして使用することを提案している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、特開平10−191203号公報ではテレビジョン受像機内蔵のスピ−カはセンタスピ−カとして機能させるので、それ以外にも外付けのL,R用スピ−カとS用のスピ−カが必要となる。
また、センタスピ−カとしてセット内蔵L、Rスピ−カを使用した場合には音像が左右に広がって、画面センタに定位することが困難である。このことからもテレビジョン受像機のみで完結してサラウンド音声を楽しめ、かつ正確な音像定位を実現するような提案が切望されていた。

本発明のテレビジョン受像機は上記課題を解決し、テレビジョン受像機に内蔵したスピ−カのみで、正確に音像定位したサラウンドを楽しめるようにすることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
音響再生装置のL(左),R(右),C(センタ),S(サラウンド)信号をエンコ−ドし2チャンネル音声信号Lt,Rtを形成するとともに,該2チャンネル音声信号Lt,Rtを音声信号L,R、C、Sにデコ−ドする手段と、前記デコ−ドしたC信号を増幅器を介しC用スピ−カに接続する手段と、頭部伝達関数付加手段,加減算器,位相器を有する音像定位作成手段により前記デコ−ドしたL,R,S信号から2チャンネル音声信号Ls,Rsを形成する手段と、前記2チャンネル音声信号Ls,Rsを増幅器を介しL用,R用それぞれのスピ−カに接続する手段とを備えたことを特徴とするテレビジョン受像機とした。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態におけるテレビジョン受像機について、図面を用いて説明する。

(実施の形態1)
図1は本発明の実施の形態1におけるテレビジョン受像機のプロック構成図を示す。図1において、符号1は音響再生装置、2はデコ−ド手段、3は頭部伝達関数付加手段、4は位相器、5は音像定位作成手段、6はL用増幅器、7はC用増幅器、8はR用増幅器、9はL用スピ−カ、10はC用スピ−カ、11はR用スピ−カ、12はCRTを示す。

次に図1の動作をたとえば、音響再生装置1が2CHの音声出力である場合について説明する。
音響再生装置1から出力される2CHの音声信号Lt、Rtはデコ−ド手段2によりL、R、S、C成分の信号にそれぞれデコ−ドされる。本発明ではC信号はそのままC用増幅器7を通してC用スピ−カ10によって出力させる。C用スピ−カ10はCRT12の中央下部に固定されており、このことでセンタの音像は画面中央に確実に定位する。
L、R、Sのそれぞれの信号は頭部伝達関数付加手段3に送られる。頭部伝達関数付加手段3によってS成分を加工してL,R成分と加減算処理をほどこすことで2CH信号Lh、Rhに変換する。さらに、位相器4により広がり感を調節する。こうして作成されたLs,Rs信号はL用増幅器6、R用増幅器8を通じて、L用スピ−カ9、R用スピ−カ11によって出力される。
かかる構成によれば、C用スピ−カからはC成分のみの信号が出力されるため、あたかも画面中央から音が聞こえてくる音像が得られる。L用スピ−カ9、R用スピ−カ11からはC成分を除いたL、R、Sの成分を頭部伝達関数付加手段3で加工した信号により、あたかも後方にS成分を定位させることができる。C用スピ−カ10、L用スピ−カ9、R用スピ−カ11は同一平面上に位置させることにより、より確実な定位制御を可能とする。
(実施の形態2)
本発明の実施の形態2におけるテレビジョン受像機について、図2,3,4を用いて説明する。

図2,図3はそれぞれ本発明の実施の形態2におけるテレビジョン受像機を側面方向から見た要部断面図、図4は本発明の実施の形態2におけるテレビジョン受像機の要部断面図である。図2〜図4において、符号12はCRT、13はキャビネット、13aはキャビネット音導部、14はホ−ン、15は第一のスピ−カ、16は第二のスピ−カ、17は吸音材、18はリブ、19はバックカバ−を示す。

図2〜図4に示すように、CRT12の下部にはキャビネット13に形成された音導部13aに第一のスピ−カ15を固定したホ−ン14が接続されている。第一のスピ−カのマグネット部分には吸音材17がはめこまれており、リブ18によって脱落を防止している。吸音材17は第一のスピ−カ15の背面からの音を吸収するため前面のL、Rの音像定位は向上する。
さらに、ホ−ン内部14には第二のスピ−カ16を斜め下向きに装着されている。第二のスピ−カ16は4kHz以上の周波数を強調して出力できるツイ−タである。第二のスピ−カ16を斜め下向きに装着することで、キャビネット音導部13aで反射した音が斜め上向きに前面放射される。該構成により音像を上に上げることができる。
なお、キャビネット音孔部13bの状態によっては、図3に示すように、第二のスピ−カ16を斜め上向きに装着しても効果がある。

このように本発明のテレビジョン受像機によれば、テレビジョン受像機のみで完結してサラウンドを楽しめ、かつ正しい音像定位を得られる。
