特許文献1には、従来の摘み型芯削り器が小型で使用時の保持や紛失し易い問題と削り屑の処理に問題があることから、合成樹脂製などの蓋付密閉容器本体と蓋部を密閉状に脱着自在とし、蓋の中央上部に孔を設け、摘み型芯削り器を孔に圧入して密閉状で着脱可能に嵌合保持するようになし、更に十字型小切り込みを有したゴム等の弾性体よりなるカバーを摘み型芯削り器の芯挿入孔を塞ぐように取り付けたものが提案されている。
また、携帯用鉛筆削り器として特許文献2が知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
特許文献1に示されたものは、ゴム等の弾性体よりなるカバーの十字型小切り込みを挿通して芯先を摘み型芯削り器の芯挿入孔に挿入するようになされており、芯先の出し入れを繰り返した時に切り込み部がやや開き気味となってしまう虞がある。その場合、芯の削り屑は粉状なので開いた僅かな隙間からこぼれてしまい周囲を汚す問題がある。特許文献2に示されたものは、本体の下端に設けられたキャップを大きく開口して削り屑を捨てるように構成されている。このものは鉛筆削り器なので削り屑の大半は大きな木屑であり、削り屑が開口部に引っかからずに手早く捨てるのによい。しかしながら、芯削り器とした場合には、削り屑は粉状で本体容器内に飛散しやすく容器の内壁に付着している。従って、いきなり下端のキャップを開けたりすると粉状の削り屑が飛散して手や容器及び周囲を汚す問題が起きる。また、上端のキャップをいきなり開けた場合にも開口部の周辺に付着した粉状の削り屑が飛散してやはり手や容器及び周囲を汚す虞がある。
