BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement in the head shape of a wood type golf club.
[0002]
[Prior art]
It is said that there are a lot of golfers who suffer from the tendency of the slice where the hit ball deviates to the right with respect to the target direction and the hook which deviates greatly to the left. As one method for solving the problem on the club side, the orientation of the face surface of the club head is formed into a hook face for those who suffer from the tendency of slicing, and a slice face for those who suffer from the hook. . In fact, there are many golfers who are satisfied with this method.
[0003]
The logic of this method is, for example, a golfer who suffers from slicing. For example, the cause of slicing is to swing the club even if the orientation of the face is square (vertical) in the target direction at the time of addressing. When the ball is impacted, the orientation of the face surface is open to the right with respect to the target direction (the target direction for hitting the hit ball). If the head is formed in a closed state (that is, hook) in advance, the impact is such that the direction of the face surface is square in the target direction and the hit ball flies straight, which is quite satisfactory.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the club according to the conventional method described above, since the weight is placed only on the ball as a result of hitting the ball, the orientation of the face surface of the head is extremely hooked with respect to the target direction at the time of addressing (or It can be said that the eyes are meditating about the discomfort that appears in the slice. In other words, there is a problem in that the user has given up this discomfort.
Therefore, in view of such a situation, the object of the present invention is that even if a golfer has a tendency of slicing or hooking, the face surface becomes square due to impact, and the tendency is corrected by the address. It is to provide a golf club head whose surface orientation is square.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above Symbol object, the golf club head according to the present invention, there is provided a wood type golf club head slicer, face advance as hooks face when poised to lie angle and loft angle Road the target direction In the golf club head designed to cover leftward, the ridge line from the face side to the back side of the sole surface is inclined to the toe side with respect to the target direction, and the heel side sole surface is formed from this ridge line. When the heel-side inclined surface is used and the toe-side sole surface is used as the toe-side inclined surface, the face surface opens with respect to the target direction when the heel-side inclined surface is grounded along the direction of the ridgeline at the time of addressing. The orientation of the face surface at the address is square. Further, in the golf club for hooker, the face surface of the golf club is designed so that the face surface is opened in the right direction with respect to the target direction in advance when the lie angle and the loft angle are set. A ridge line extending from the face side to the back side side is formed to be inclined toward the heel side with respect to the target direction, the sole surface on the heel side is defined as the heel side inclined surface from the ridge line, and the toe side sole surface is defined as the toe side inclined surface. When the heel-side inclined surface is grounded along the ridgeline at the time of addressing, the face surface is closed with respect to the target direction, and the orientation of the face surface at the address becomes square.
[0006]
Since the golf club head according to the present invention has such a feature, when the actual lie angle at the address (the lie angle at the address with respect to golfers of various heights is investigated), the height Regardless of the lie angle, the lie angle is in the range of 40 to 50 degrees), and when the head is held in a so-called addressing posture in which the sole surface is grounded, the inclined surface on the side of the wheel is aligned with the ridge line. Make a stable contact with the ground along the direction.
[0007]
As a result, in the case of a club head that is designed in advance so that the face surface covers leftward with respect to the target direction as a hook face, the ridge line is inclined to the toe side with respect to the target direction. When the head is looked down at the address posture, the face surface is displaced in the opening direction with respect to the target direction (that is, the face surface is directed rightward with respect to the target direction when right-handed. )), And the face surface becomes square, so that it is possible to provide a golf club head that is easy to hit with an uncomfortable feeling at an address that has been a problem with conventional products.
In addition, even in impact, the face surface is square in the target direction, so that even a golfer with a slicing tendency can fly a hit ball straight in the target direction.
[0008]
In addition, in the case of a club head that is designed so that the face surface is opened to the right with respect to the target direction as a slice face, the ridge line is inclined toward the wheel side with respect to the target direction. When the head is looked down at the address posture, the face surface is displaced in the closing direction with respect to the target direction (that is, the face surface is directed leftward with respect to the target direction when right-handed. Since the face is grounded and the face surface becomes square, it is possible to provide a golf club head that is similarly uncomfortable at the address and easy to hit. Moreover, even in the impact, the face surface becomes square in the target direction, so that even a golfer who is hook-like can fly a hit ball straight in the target direction.
[0009]
In the present invention, the normal lie angle and / or the normal loft angle are the lie angle and loft angle that should be realized when the golfer swings the club and hits the ball, and the famous Golf. According to the definition of the lie angle and loft angle in Club Design, Fitting, Alternation & Repair (by Ralph Maltby), the lie angle is the angle between the shaft axis and the ground when the head is viewed from the front (face side). The loft angle is an angle formed by the shaft axis and the face surface when viewed from the toe side, and is a numerical value usually described in a golf club catalog or the like.
The normal posture of the head is the posture of the head in which the normal lie angle and loft angle are realized.
[0010]
Further, in the present invention, the address posture is the address where the golfer makes the face surface of the head approach the ball placed on the tee or the ground, and the club head is grounded to determine the lie angle. The state of the golf club when taking a general lie angle.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment according to the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. The head of the embodiment according to the present invention is made of a titanium alloy and has a head volume of 270 cc (270 cm @ 3). FIG. 1A is a front view when the club head 1 according to the first embodiment is in a normal posture. That is, it is a front view when the
The regular lie angle of the wood club is usually designed to be 55 to 56 degrees. Therefore, in the address posture, it can be held about 10 degrees lower than the normal lie angle.

Further, in order to confirm the effect of the present invention, the club head specifications such as the regular lie angle, loft angle, face angle, and head volume were made the same, and the heads of Examples 1 and 2 were used. An example club and a comparative example club using a head designed for a conventional slicer and hooker were prototyped, respectively, and sliced or hooked by seven golfers each having a tendency to slice or hook. A comparison test of address sense was conducted separately for clubs for hookers.
As a result of the test, both the slicer club and the hooker club evaluated that the club of the example did not cause a sense of incongruity at the address.
[0019]
In each of the above embodiments, the inclination angle of the ridge line of the sole surface with respect to the target direction is set to 10 degrees with respect to the angle of the face surface with respect to the line segment perpendicular to the target direction. The relationship is appropriately changed and set according to the difference in the shape of the sole and the width of the sole from the leading edge of the face to the back side.
Thus, the main point in this case is that when the angle of the face surface of the head is a hook face, in the bottom view, the slope of the edge of the sole surface is lowered to the left from the face to the back side. On the other hand, in the case of a slice face, it may be lowered to the right (close to the heel) from the face to the back side.
In the golf club according to the present invention, it is preferable that marks indicating the grip position stamped on the shaft or grip rubber are stamped so that the marks can be viewed from the front in the address posture.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
In the golf club head according to the present invention, when the face surface of the head is set in advance as a hook or a slice face, and the head is viewed from the bottom, the tilt surface on the side of the wheel constituting the sole surface is shown. Since the ridgeline that extends from the face side to the backside side at the lower end is inclined to the toe side or the wheel side with respect to the target direction, the sole surface is formed. With the golf ball, the face surface becomes square with respect to the target direction when the sole surface is stably placed on the horizontal ground, and the uncomfortable feeling at the address, which is a problem with the conventional product, is eased and golf is easy to hit. Club heads can be provided. In addition, even in the impact, the face surface becomes square in the target direction, so that even a golfer having a slicing tendency or a hook tendency can fly a hit ball straight in the target direction.
