【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、ベッドの技術分野に属し、特に使用者の体格にあわせて膝等の屈伸位置を調節することが可能な介護用ベッドの技術分野に属する。なお、本明細書中では、介護用ベッドとは、病人、老人、障害者等の使用者を介護するためのベッドだけに限定されるものではなく、膝曲げやリクライニング等の屈伸機能をもったベッドを広く指すものとする。

【従来の技術】
従来の屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドとしては、たとえば、特開平9−84836号公報(従来技術1)、特開平9−313544号公報(従来技術2)および実開平8−1059号公報(従来技術3)に開示されたものがある。そして、これらの従来技術では、所定の曲率で湾曲することができる湾曲ボトム部材を屈伸部に使用していた。

すなわち、従来技術1および従来技術2では、長手方向(使用者の身長方向)に延在する第一フレームおよび第二フレームを長手方向に互いに連結するのに、ピボット周りに屈伸可能なヒンジ部材を使用していた。そして、使用者の体格に合わせてベッドのボトム(上面部)のうち屈伸する部分の位置を調整するために、従来技術1では、ヒンジ部材と両フレームとの結合位置は、長手方向に調整可能に設計されていた。一方、従来技術2では、長手方向に所定間隔をおいて二つのピボットをもつヒンジ部材を採用して、両ピボットのうち一方を固定することにより、屈伸する部分の位置を長手方向に二段階で調節することができるようになっていた。

さらに、ヒンジ部材を覆い床面(ボトムの上面)の一部を形成するボトム部材には、所定の曲率で湾曲することができる湾曲ボトム部材が使用されていた。また、屈曲した状態で湾曲ボトム部材を支えるヒンジ部材は、湾曲ボトム部材の底面に沿って曲面を形成することができるように、ピボットに近い部分の上面が適当な曲率をもって形成されていた。

ここで、湾曲ボトム部材は、従来技術3によれば、複数の逆台形の短冊状ボトム部材がその上面で互いに屈曲可能につながって構成されている。すなわち、複数の短冊状ボトム部材は、上面側で互いに一体的につながっており、下面側では適当なギャップを空けている。それゆえ、短冊状ボトム部材が上に凸に湾曲した際に、短冊状ボトム部材の上面側の連結部分が撓むともに、下面側ではギャップがつぶれて湾曲する曲率の範囲が適正に限定されている。すなわち、各従来技術に使用される湾曲ボトム部材は、中空状の熱可塑性樹脂からなり可撓性のある一体部材である。

なお、従来技術1および従来技術2においては、ヒンジ部材の延伸時にこのような湾曲ボトム部材が逆方向に撓んでしまわないようにする必要がある。たとえば、湾曲ボトム部材のギャップ側に逆湾曲規制部材を設けるとか、湾曲ボトム部材が配設されているヒンジ部材の脇に直線状の支持部材を設けておくなどの対策が必須である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前述の各従来技術の湾曲ボトム部材では、複数の短冊状のボトムが上面側で一体的につながっているので断面形状が大きく、下面側では適正なギャップが各短冊状ボトムの間に形成されていなければならない。それゆえ、湾曲ボトム部材の寸法が大きく形状が複雑であることから、湾曲ボトム部材を製造するための成形型も大きく複雑になり、成形型の製造コストがかなりかかってしまうので、いきおい湾曲ボトム部材の価格も高くついてしまう。また、このような湾曲ボトム部材を成型するためには、湾曲ボトム部材の長手方向の幅寸法が大きいので押し出し成形によって製造するのは困難であり、射出成形によって製造せざるを得なかった。その結果、湾曲ボトム部材の製造費用がなお高くなり、湾曲ボトム部材の価格の高騰が、屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドを安価に提供する上での妨げになっていた。

そこで本発明は、より安価な屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドを提供することを解決すべき課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、長手方向に延在する第一フレームおよび第二フレームと、両該フレームを長手方向に互いに連結し屈伸可能であるとともに両該フレームとの結合位置が長手方向に調整可能であるヒンジ部材と、両該フレームおよび該ヒンジ部材を覆い床面を形成するボトム部材とを有する屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドにおいて、前記ボトム部材のうち前記ヒンジ部材を覆っているものは、互いに別体で複数の短冊状ボトム部材であることを特徴とする屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドである。

すなわち、本発明の屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドでは、前述の各従来技術の湾曲ボトム部材に当たる部分は、互いに別体の複数の短冊状ボトム部材から構成されている。それゆえ、各短冊状ボトム部材は、別体に成型されるので、一体成型された大きな湾曲ボトム部材を成型する場合よりも、本発明での短冊状ボトム部材を成型する場合の方が、成形型がずっと小さくてすむ。その結果、成形型の制作費用が従来技術よりもずっと安価になり、一つのベッドに必要な数の短冊状ボトム部材をより安価に製造することが可能になり、ひいてはより安価に屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドを提供することができるようになる。

この場合において、複数の短冊状ボトム部材は互いに同一な形状であることが望ましい。このように各短冊状ボトム部材が同一形状であれば、これらは単一の規格品となるので複数の成形型を用意する必要がなくなり、よりいっそう安価に短冊状ボトム部材を製造することができるようになる。
また、本発明の屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドでは、ボトム部材に可撓性が要求されず、膝部分等の屈伸部を曲げる際にもボトム部材の大きな変形はない。すなわち、本発明では、ボトム部材の変形がほとんどないので、長期間にわたって使用してもボトム部材にひびが入ったりすることが防止されており、ボトム部材の寿命が長く長期間にわたって維持費が低く抑えられている。

したがって、本発明によれば、屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドをより安価に提供することができるばかりではなく、同ベッドの維持費をも減らすことができるという効果がある。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明では、ヒンジ部材を覆っているボトム部材は互いに別体で複数の短冊状ボトム部材であることを特徴としているが、これらの複数の短冊状ボトム部材は同一形状であってもよく、さらに、他の部分を覆っているボトム部材もこれらと同じ短冊状ボトム部材であってもよい。このような構成にすれば、全てのボトム部材が単一の規格品からなるので、複数の成形型を用意する必要がなくなり、よりいっそう安価に屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドを提供することができるようになる。さらに、各短冊状ボトム部材の間に適正な隙間を設ければ、これらの隙間を通してボトムの上下間で通気性が良好になり、ボトムの上に載せられたマットや布団の湿気が抜けやすくなるので、本発明のベッドの使用感がより快適になる。

ここで、前記短冊状ボトム部材は、断面形状が一定の押し出し成型品からなることが望ましい。このような構成にすれば、短冊状ボトム部材は安価な熱可塑性樹脂等を押し出し成形することにより、よりいっそう安価に製造することができるので、屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドをよりいっそう安価に提供することが可能になる。

さらに、前記ヒンジ部材は、各前記短冊状ボトム部材毎に、上方に突出したT字状のヘッドをもつボルトまたはピンを少なくとも左右一対もち、各該短冊状ボトム部材は、該ヘッドと係合する断面T字状の係合溝をもつ構成とすると、なお望ましい。すなわち、押し出し成型品からなる短冊状ボトム部材の係合溝に左右一対のボルトまたはピンなどの係止部材のヘッドが挿入されるように、ベッドの横方向から短冊状ボトム部材を差し込むだけで、短冊状ボトム部材はベッドに固定される。すると、本発明のベッドへの各短冊状ボトム部材の挿置がきわめて容易になる。また、ボルトやピンのような係止部材は、取付け取り外しが容易であるから、その位置を適正に配置し直すことが簡単になり、屈伸位置の調節がより簡単になるという効果がある。

また、前記短冊状ボトム部材は、左右に連通して形成された肉抜き孔をもつようにすると、なお望ましい。なぜならば、このような構成の短冊状ボトム部材であれば、肉抜き孔の分だけ材料費が節減されるとともに重量も軽減され、さらに保温性も向上するからである。
なお、以上は短冊状ボトム部材の特徴に注目して説明したが、短冊状ボトム部材を採用することにより、ヒンジ部材の構成も従来技術とは変えてより安価に製造することができるようになる。すなわち、本発明のベッドにおいて、前記ヒンジ部材のうち、各前記短冊状ボトム部材を保持し前記第一フレームまたは前記第二フレームに結合される連結部分は、直線状部材から構成されるようにすると、なお良い。

なぜならば、湾曲ボトム部材を採用せず短冊状ボトム部材を採用しているので、従来技術1や従来技術2のように連結部分が曲線で形成された部材からなっていると不都合である。すなわち、ヒンジ部材が屈曲しているときは適当な湾曲をもってボトムが形成されるのでよいが、逆にヒンジ部材が伸展しているときには、短冊状ボトム部材がヒンジ部材の連結部分に沿って落ち込んでしまったりすると不都合である。それゆえ、ヒンジ部材の両連結部分が直線状部材から形成されていれば、このような機能上の不都合がなくなる。そればかりではなく、ヒンジ部材の製造費用が節減され、なおいっそうのコストダウンが可能になるという効果がある。

以下、本発明の屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドの実施例を図面を参照して示し、当業者が容易に実施できるよう具体的に説明する。
[実施例1]
(実施例1の構成)
本発明の実施例1としての屈伸位置調節可能な介護用ベッドは、図1および図2に示すように、脚93に支持されたヘッドボード91およびフットボード92と、両ボードの間に配設された左右一対のサイドビーム5とをもつ。両サイドビーム5の間には、長手方向に延在する第一フレーム1および第二フレーム2と、両フレーム1,2を長手方向に互いに連結するヒンジ部材3と、第二フレーム2に屈伸可能に連結された背当てフレーム4とが配設されている。そして、第一フレーム1および第二フレーム2とヒンジ部材3と背当てフレーム4との上には、これらを覆い床面(ボトムの上面)を形成するボトム部材6,6’,7が、複数のボルト40によって装着されている。

また前述のように、本実施例では、ヒンジ部材3の側面に複数組の固定ピン孔を形成し、両フレーム1,2のそれぞれの側面に対応する一組の固定ピン孔を形成している。しかし、これとは逆に、ヒンジ部材3の直線状部材31,32の側面にそれぞれ一組の固定ピン孔を形成し、両フレーム1,2のそれぞれの側面に対応する複数組の固定ピン孔を形成した構成としても良い。あるいは、ヒンジ部材3および両フレームのいずれも側面にも複数組の固定ピン孔を形成した構成としても良い。
