この発明は、バス等の交通機関において、ICカードによる乗車運賃の精算を行う運賃精算装置に関し、特に車両内でICカードの金額の積増しを行うことができる運賃精算装置に関する。

ICカードは、ICカード積増し装置に紙幣を投入し、その金額をICカードに書き込む(積増しする)ことにより、繰り返し利用することができる(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、従来のICカード積増し装置は積増し処理専用の装置になっており、路線バスにおいて、すべての停留所またはすべての車両内にICカード積増し装置を設置することは現実的でないため、利用客がICカードの積増しを行うには、ICカード積増し装置が設置された特定の場所に出かける必要があった。
また、ICカード、磁気カードおよび現金による運賃精算が可能な運賃精算装置において、ICカード処理部を利用してICカードへの積増し処理を行う場合、ICカードの積増し処理中はICカードによる精算はもちろんのこと、磁気カードおよび現金による運賃精算ができないため、ある利用客が降車時に積増し処理を行うと、積増し処理が完了するまでの間、他の利用客の運賃精算ができないため、降車時間が長くなるという問題があった。

本発明の目的は、上記のような点に鑑みてなされたものであり、利用客が専用のICカード積増し装置が設置された場所に出向くことなく、ICカードの積増しができる運賃精算装置を提供することにある。

請求項1に記載の運賃精算装置は、車両内に設けられ、ICカードに記録された乗車地情報および金額情報を読取るICカード読取り手段と、上記ICカード読取り手段で読取った乗車地情報と現在値情報から乗車運賃を算出する運賃算出手段と、上記ICカードの金額情報から上記算出した乗車運賃を減算処理し、その残額を新たな金額情報としてICカードに記録するICカード記録手段を有する運賃精算装置において、硬貨による運賃精算を行う硬貨処理手段と、紙幣による運賃精算または両替を行う紙幣処理手段とからなる現金処理手段と、ICカードによる運賃精算またはICカードの金額データの積増しを選択する選択手段と、現金による運賃精算かICカードによる運賃精算かを判定する精算方法判定手段と、同時に運賃精算する人数または運賃種別を入力する操作盤とを有し、上記選択手段により積増しが選択された際、上記紙幣処理手段に挿入された紙幣の金額を上記ICカード記録手段を介してICカードの積増しを行うとともに、ICカードの積増し処理が終了するまでの間、現金による運賃精算に対してのみ操作盤の入力を有効にすることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照して説明する。この発明の実施例の全体の構成を図1に示す。運賃精算装置1は、ICカード、磁気カードおよび現金による運賃精算が可能な装置で、ICカードの読取りおよび記録を行うICカード処理部2、磁気カードの読取りおよび記録を行う磁気カード処理部3と、現金での運賃精算および両替を行う現金処理部4と、乗務員が操作する操作盤5と、ICカードへの積増しを行う際、利用客によって操作される積増しボタン6と、これらを制御する制御部7とからなり、バスの降車口の乗客用通路近くに設けられる。なお、上記ICカードは、この実施例では非接触式のICカードが用いられる。
