【従来の技術】
シールドトンネルを構築するセグメントは、ピース面及びリング面を連結金具で固定連結されるが、連結金具の種類によっては、シール溝がトンネルの内側近くに設けられない場合があり、この場合、連結金具部分を回避するように平面的に曲がり部を有するシール溝が設けられる。
このようにシール溝が平面的に曲がり部を有するセグメントに使用されるシール材としては、従来、平面曲がり部に相当する部分ををプレス成形で作成し、それを直線部分と接合したり、金型に直線部分を設置し、平面曲がり部を未加硫の水膨張性ゴム材料を入れ加熱プレス成形によって一体化したものを使用していた。

本発明は、上記の問題点を解消するため、平面的に曲がり部においても非水膨張性ゴムの連結された補強層を持った水膨張性ゴムシール材の加工方法を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、シールドトンネルを構築するピース面及びリング面からなる接合面を有するセグメントの少なくとも一つの接合面において平面的に曲がり部を有するシール溝に適用される水膨張性ゴムシール材の成形方法であって、該水膨張性ゴムシール材が水膨張性ゴムからなる本体部分と裏面側の幅方向の中央部分に位置する非水膨張性ゴムからなる複合構造を有し、上記水膨張性ゴムシール材の幅方向の一方の端部から略中央部にかけてV字形状の切り抜き部の加工を施し、略中央部が連結された状態と成るように他方の端部から切れ目又は切り抜き加工を施し、該一方の端部のV字形状の切り抜き部の断面にゴム系硬化接着剤を塗布し、該断面を接合すると共に、他方の端部の切れ目又は切り抜き部の開口部に水膨張性ゴムの未加硫ゴム材料を充填し、加熱プレスして該接着剤を硬化させ、および未加硫ゴム材料を加硫させることを特徴とする曲がり部を有する水膨張性ゴムシール材の成形方法である。

また、本発明は、上記水膨張性ゴムシール材の幅方向の一方の端部から略中央部にかけてV字形状の切り抜き部の加工を施し、略中央部が連結された状態と成るように他方の端部から切れ目又は切り抜き加工を施し、該一方の端部のV字形状の切り抜き部の断面にゴム系硬化接着剤を塗布し、該断面を接合し、加熱により接着剤を硬化させた後、他方の端部の切れ目又は切り抜き部の開口部に水膨張性ゴムの未加硫ゴム材料を充填し、加熱プレスして未加硫ゴム材料を加硫させることを特徴とする曲がり部を有する水膨張性ゴムシール材の成形方法である。

本発明において使用されるゴム系硬化接着剤としては、塩素化天然ゴム、クロロプレンゴム、クロロスルフォン化ポリエチレン、ポリブタジエンゴム等のゴム成分と、テトラメチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラメチルチウラムモノスルフィド等の低温硬化剤、フェノール樹脂、レゾール樹脂、イソシアネート等の硬化剤成分からなる2液の溶剤タイプのものを挙げることができる。これらの中でも、主剤がクロロプレンゴム系成分10〜20重量%でとなるように溶剤で希釈されたもの、硬化剤がMDI、TDI等のイソシアネート10〜40重量%となるようる溶剤で希釈さた2液タイプのものが好ましい。このような2液タイプのクロロプレンゴム・イソシアネート系硬化接着剤としては、各種の市販品を利用することができ、具体的には、横浜ゴム社製のQパック、バンドー化学社製のサンパットS、チップトップジャパン社製のSC2000、パング社製のPANGOFOL HARTER等を挙げることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明に用いられる水膨張性ゴムシール材は、クロロプレンゴム、スチレン・ブタジエンゴム、イソプレンゴム、EPDMゴム等の各種合成ゴムを主成分とし、これに、ポリアクリル酸系、イソブチレン・無水マレイン酸系、ウレタン系、ポリビニルアルコール系等の各種水膨張性樹脂の1種又は2種以上を配合し、金属酸化物、イオウ系化合物などの加硫剤や加硫促進剤、充填剤、着色剤、軟化剤等の各種添加剤を配合した水膨張性ゴム組成物と、上記の水膨張性ゴム組成物より水膨張性樹脂を除いた非水膨張性ゴム組成物とを共押出成形し、加硫工程を経て製造される複合型のものが用いられる。

上記の複合型水膨張性ゴムシール材の形状は、図1のシール材Aおよびシール材Bに示したとおり、裏面側の幅方向の中央部分に位置する非水膨張性ゴム1からなる補強層と水膨張性ゴム2からなる本体部分との複合構造を有している。
シール材Aは、上面がフラット形状となっており、シール材Bは、二つの半円形の凸条3を有している。

次に図1のシール材Aを例にして、平面的に曲がり部を有する水膨張性ゴムシール材の成形方法を図2ないし図3に示す。
図2において、シール材Aは、複合構造のものを押出成形さた後、加硫されたもので、幅方向の一方の端部から略中央部にかけてV字形状に切り抜き部5の加工が施され、かつ、略中央部が連結された状態と成るように他方の端部から略U字形状の切り抜き部6の加工が施され、該一方の端部のV字形状に切り抜き部の断面4に2液タイプのクロロプレンゴム・イソシアネート系硬化接着剤を塗布し、該断面を接合すると共に、図3に示すように他方の端部の切り抜き部6の開口部に水膨張性ゴムの未加硫ゴム材料7を充填し、加熱プレスで該接着剤を硬化させ、および未加硫ゴム材料を加硫して曲がり部を有する水膨張性ゴムシール材を成形した。

また、上記水膨張性ゴムシール材の幅方向の一方の端部から略中央部に達するV字形状に切り抜き部4の加工が施され、略中央部が連結された状態と成るように他方の端部から略U字形状の切り抜き部6の加工が施され、該一方の端部のV字形状に切り抜き部の断面4に2液タイプのクロロプレンゴム・イソシアネート系硬化接着剤を塗布し、該断面を接合し、加熱により接着剤を硬化させた後、他方の端部の切れ目又は切り抜き部の開口部6に水膨張性ゴムの未加硫ゴム材料7を充填し、加熱プレスで未加硫ゴム材料を加硫して曲がり部を有する水膨張性ゴムシール材を成形してもよい。

以上、述べたように、水膨張性ゴムシール材の複合構造を曲がり部においても備えているので補強効果のあるシール材とすることができ、V字形状の切り抜き部の断面の接着剤としてゴム系硬化接着剤を用いているので加工時間が短く、可撓性や水膨張性を損なわない曲がり部を有する水膨張性ゴムシール材を成形することができる。
