本発明は、舞台やテレビスタジオの照明に用いられるスポットライトのような照明器具に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
この種の照明器具として、例えば図8に示すように、光源としてのランプ1と、内部にランプ1を収納しランプ1の光を外部に出射する出射口21が設けられた器具本体2と、器具本体2の出射口21に配設されて出射口21から出射される光を集光するフレネルレンズ3と、器具本体2の出射口21から出射される光の一部を遮光して照射範囲を調整する遮光部材たるバンドア4と、器具本体2に設けられランプ1の光を出射口21に集光する球面鏡5とを備えたスポットライトがある。ランプ1の発光部がフレネルレンズ3の光軸上に位置するように、ランプ1とフレネルレンズ3とは配置されている。

バンドア4は、フレネルレンズ3の光軸を挟んだ2箇所に配置されている。各バンドア4,4は、それぞれ黒く塗られた鉄板からなり、一端が器具本体2に回動自在に枢着されている。フレネルレンズ3で集光された光は、2つのバンドア4,4の間に生じる開口を通過するようになっている。そして、バンドア4,4の開き角度を変えることで図9に示すように開口の大きさを変えて照射範囲を調整可能となっている。

フレネルレンズ3は円盤状であって、表面には、図10に示すようにレンズとして機能するレンズ面31と、レンズとして機能しない非レンズ面32とが交互に同心円状に形成されている。フレネルレンズは、凸レンズに比べて薄型軽量とすることができる上に、集光された光によって照射面Sに形成される照射領域Zの輪郭をぼかすことができる。

ランプ1の光は、図11に示すように、フレネルレンズ3の裏面から入射し、主にレンズ面31から出射する。入射した光の大部分は、図8に実線で示すように、レンズ面31で屈折し出射することで照射面Sに到達する。しかし、レンズ面31から出射した光の一部が、破線で示すように非レンズ面32で反射して意図しない方向に出射される場合がある。以下では、非レンズ面32で反射することなく正常に集光された光を有効光と呼び、レンズ面31を出射した後に非レンズ面32で反射した光を非有効光と呼ぶ。

バンドア4によって照射範囲を狭くしていない場合は、有効光によって照射面Sに形成される照射領域Zに非有効光も入射する。しかし、有効光に比して非有効光は微弱であるため、このとき非有効光による照射ムラは人間の目には知覚されない。

一方、図9のようにバンドア4によって照射範囲を狭くしている場合を考える。従来は、非有効光は、バンドア4の開口の近くでフレネルレンズ4の光軸Aに交差していた。このため、バンドア4で照射範囲を狭めた状態でも、非有効光は開口を通過することがあった。さらに、非有効光は、有効光よりも光軸Aに対して大きな角度をなして出射していた。従って、非有効光は、調整された照射範囲の外に照射されて照射ムラを発生させることがあった。調整された照射範囲の外に発生するこの照射ムラは人間の目にも知覚されるものであったし、特に、スタジオ放送に用いられるような高感度の撮影用機器を用いて撮影した場合には見苦しく映ってしまっていた。

一般に、フレネルレンズの非レンズ面での光の反射を防ぐ手段としては、光を吸収する光吸収体の層で非レンズ面を覆う手段や、非レンズ面に光を散乱するような加工を施す手段がある(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記の光吸収体としては例えば合成樹脂の膜を用いることが考えられる。ここで、上述したようなスポットライトのランプ1としては1kw以上のハロゲン電球が用いられることが多い。さらに、スポットライトでは、照射範囲を広くとるためにランプ1とフレネルレンズ3との距離が近くなっていることも多い。つまり、フレネルレンズ3の非レンズ面32に光吸収体の層を設けた場合、ハロゲン電球の発する熱によって光吸収体が加熱されて溶融してしまう恐れがある。その上、光吸収体を用いると光の利用効率が低下してしまう。従って、上述したようなスポットライトのフレネルレンズ3において、光吸収体の層で非レンズ面32を覆う手段を採用することはできない。

また、非レンズ面32に光を散乱するような加工を施すと、光が非レンズ面32に散乱されることによって、照射ムラがさらに悪化することが考えられるから、非レンズ面32に光を散乱するような加工を施す手段も採用できない。

本発明は上記事由に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、照射ムラを低減することができる照明器具を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1の発明は、光源と、内部に光源を収納し光源の光を外部に出射する出射口が設けられた器具本体と、表面にレンズ面と非レンズ面とが形成され裏面を光源に向けて器具本体の出射口に配設されて出射口から出射される光を集光するフレネルレンズと、フレネルレンズで集光された光が通過する開口を有し、開口の大きさを変えることでフレネルレンズにより集光された光の照射範囲を可変とする遮光部材とを備え、フレネルレンズのレンズ面から出射した後に非レンズ面で反射した光が、フレネルレンズのレンズ面を通って集光された光の照射範囲内に照射されるように非レンズ面を形成したことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明に関連した参考例及び本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。

本参考例の基本的な構成は従来例と同様であるので、共通の部分については同じ符号を付して説明を省略し、異なる部分についてのみ詳細に説明する。

本参考例は、図2に示すように、破線で示す非有効光をフレネルレンズ3の光軸Aと交差しない方向に配光するように非レンズ面32を形成したものである。

具体的には、非レンズ面32が光軸Aに対してなす角を従来例(15°程度)よりも大きくしている。非レンズ面32が光軸Aに対してなす角の決定方法を以下に詳しく説明する。

図1に示すように、バンドア4の開口が光軸Aに関して対称に形成されかつレンズ面31から出射され非レンズ面31で反射されなかった光の一部をバンドア4が遮光する基準状態を考える。このときの開口の光軸に直交する方向の幅寸法をD(m)、フレネルレンズ3の裏面から光軸に沿って開口までの距離をH(m)とする。また、フレネルレンズ3の材料の屈折率をn、ランプ1のフィラメントなどの発光部とフレネルレンズ3との距離をd(m)、フレネルレンズ3の非レンズ面32とレンズ面31との境界のうちランプ1に近い側におけるレンズ面31の接平面と光軸Aとのなす角をα(°)(図3参照)としたときに、光軸Aからの距離がX(m)である非レンズ面32と光軸Aとのなす角θ(°)が以下の式で表される値とすれば、基準状態で非有効光がバンドア4に照射されるようにすることができる。

つまり、θを上記の値よりも大きくすれば、基準状態および基準状態よりもバンドア4を閉じた状態において、バンドア4によって非有効光を遮ることができる。

上記構成によれば、基準状態および基準状態よりもバンドア4を閉じた状態においては、非有効光であっても、調整された照射範囲の外へ向かって出射した光であればバンドア4で遮光することができる。また、基準状態よりもバンドア4を開いた状態であっても、従来例に比べて、調整された照射範囲の外へ向かって出射した非有効光がバンドア4で遮光されやすくなる。従って、照射ムラを低減することができる。

なお、Xとαとは、非レンズ面32とランプ1に近い側のレンズ面31との境界での値をとっているが、実際に使用されるフレネルレンズ3では1個の非レンズ面32の光軸Aに直交する方向の長さ寸法は1mm以下であるので、Xやαをどの位置でとっても、得られる結果の差は無視できるほど小さい。

【発明の効果】
請求項1の発明は、光源と、内部に光源を収納し光源の光を外部に出射する出射口が設けられた器具本体と、表面にレンズ面と非レンズ面とが形成され裏面を光源に向けて器具本体の出射口に配設されて出射口から出射される光を集光するフレネルレンズと、フレネルレンズで集光された光が通過する開口を有し、開口の大きさを変えることでフレネルレンズにより集光された光の照射範囲を可変とする遮光部材とを備え、フレネルレンズのレンズ面から出射した後に非レンズ面で反射した光が、フレネルレンズのレンズ面を通って集光された光の照射範囲内に照射されるように非レンズ面を形成したので、レンズ面から出射した後に非レンズ面で反射した光が、遮光部材によって調整された照射範囲の外に照射されることを防ぐことができるから、照射ムラを低減することができる。また、レンズ面から出射した後に非レンズ面で反射した光を非レンズ面で反射しなかった光と同様に利用することができるから、非レンズ面で反射した光を遮光部材によって遮光する場合に比べて光の利用効率が向上する。
