【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、電子画像を記憶できる電子カメラ及び画像情報を送信できる画像送信装置に関するものであり、電子カメラは静止画と動画を扱うカメラを含むものである。

【従来の技術】
従来の電子カメラは、撮影した画像をカメラ内のメモリ部(内蔵メモリ、フロッピーデスク、メモリーカード等の記録媒体)へ記憶しておき、そして、当該記録画像を他のパソコン等へ送信するときには、電話回線を利用していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の電子カメラは、撮影済みの電子画像情報に付帯させてIDナンバー、電話番号等の指定先番号を記憶させることができなかった。
そのため、電子カメラを携帯電話等に接続し、送り先のパソコンのIDナンバー、電話番号等を指定しなければならなった。

具体的には、撮影済みの電子画像情報を外部に電送(送信)する場合には、携帯電話経由で送信毎に送り先の電話番号等を設定して、送る必要があった。また、電子画像情報を一旦、パソコン等に落として、送信毎に送信先のパソコンのIDナンバー、電話番号等を指定して,自己のパソコンから当該電子画像情報を電話回線を介して送信しなけらばならなかった。更に、送信先が画像毎に異なる場合にはその送信操作が煩雑であった。

そこで、本発明は、上記の如き従来の課題を解決する画像送信装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上述の課題を解決するために請求項1の画像送信装置は、撮像素子と、前記撮像素子の画像信号を撮影毎にメモリ部に記録する画像記録手段と、前記メモリ部の画像情報を読み出す画像読み出し手段と、前記画像読み出し手段により読み出された前記画像情報に対して、送信先を示す固有の指定先情報を関連づける関連付け手段とを備え、前記画像記録手段が、前記関連付け手段により関連付けられた前記指定先情報と共に前記画像情報を前記電子カメラに着脱自在なメモリカードに記録する電子カメラのメモリーカードを装填可能な画像送信装置であって、前記メモリーカードの装着を検出して、前記メモリーカード内の画像情報を送信可能状態とする検出手段と、前記メモリーカードに記憶された前記画像情報を全て一括して送信する一括送信モードと、選択した前記画像情報のみを送信する選択送信モードを切り換えるモード切換手段と、前記モード切換手段のモードに応じて、前記画像情報を送信する自動送信回路とを備えることとした。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施形態を説明する。
(第一の実施形態)
第一の実施形態は、図1及び図2に基づき説明する。図1は、電子カメラ(図2)の回路ブロック図を示す。図2は、電子カメラを背面から見た図である。図3は、電子カメラの表示装置の表示状態の説明図である。図4は、図1の電子カメラのマイクロコンピュータのフローチャート図である。

まず、本実施形態の概要を説明する。本実施形態の電子カメラは、撮影した電子画像情報に、その情報の送信先である固有の指定先番号情報(IDナンバー、電話番号等)を関連付けて、当該電子画像情報と指定先番号情報とをともに記憶する。この電子カメラにおいて、撮影済みの電子画像情報に指定先番号情報を関連付ける場合に、撮影毎に指定先番号情報を関連付けてもよし、また撮影終了後に一括して指定先番号情報を関連付けてもよい。これら電子画像情報と、関連付けられた指定先番号情報とは、電子カメラのメモリ部(内蔵の固体メモリ、フロッピーデスク、メモリーカード等の記録媒体)に記憶される。なお、1つの電子画像情報に、複数の指定先番号情報を関連付けることもでき、このようにしておけば、同一画像を複数の送信先へ一度に送信できる。

そして、この電子カメラは、携帯電話等の画像送信装置と接続することで、電子画像情報が指定先番号情報に基づき、外部装置(パソコン、ファクシミリ等)へ自動送信できる。あるいは電子カメラからの赤外線通信によって、画像情報と共に指定先番号情報がパソコン等の機器に送信されることで、当該機器から外部の装置へ画像情報を自動的に送信できる。本実施形態の電子カメラによれば、従来のシステムに比べて、送信時に画像毎の送信先等の指定が不要であり、送信操作がより簡易化される。また、送信装置は、電話回線に限らず、インターネットのような各種通信(送信)回線を使用できる。もちろん、これらの送信方法は、有線でも、無線でもよい。

以下、電子カメラの構成を具体的に説明する。
マイクロコンピュータ1(以下、マイコン1という)は、撮影した電子画像情報に指定先番号情報を関連付ける関連付け処理部1aを備えると共に、撮影済みの電子画像情報及び電子画像情報に関連付けられた指定先番号情報を記憶するメモリ部1bを備えている。

撮像回路2は、撮像回路であるCCDと、撮像回路からの画像情報を処理する画像処理回路とを備えている。
モードスイッチ3は、電子画像情報に関連付ける送信先名及び電話番号を新規入力する関連付けモード(図3(A))、既に設定済みの送信先名及び電話番号を点滅させて、それらを更新する更新モード(図3(A))、送信中に送信経過に沿って送信画像を順次表示して送信状態を表示する送信モード(図3(B))又は送信結果を確認する確認モード(図3(C))を切り換えられる。

アップ・ダウンスイッチ4は、モードスイッチ3の設定に応じて各種情報の設定に用いられ、例えば、電話番号リストメモリ7からの指定先番号情報を順次、表示部6a、6bに表示させたり、または、撮影済み電子画像情報を順次、送り操作する操作スイッチである。
電話番号確定スイッチ5は、各種情報の設定に用いられ、例えば、表示部6に表示された電子画像情報に、送信先の指定先番号情報を関連付けさせる。このスイッチ5により、電子画像情報と指定先番号情報とが一体の情報となる。なお、電子画像情報1つに対して、複数の指定先番号情報が関連付けられ、1つの画像を複数人に送信できる。

表示部6には、電子画像情報を液晶表示するLCD表示部6cと、指定先番号情報表示部(即ち、氏名表示部6aと電話番号表示部6b)とから構成される。このLCD表示部6cには、撮影済みの電子画像情報又は現在撮影中の電子画像情報を表示できる。指定先番号情報を関連付ける場合には、LCD表示部6a-6cを見ながらその操作が可能である。

送信スイッチ9は、指定先番号情報の関連付けられた電子画像情報を外部受信装置(パソコン或いは電話)に送り出すスイッチである。送信スイッチ9のオンにより、関連付けられた指定先番号情報に基づき、各電子画像情報が電話回線等の通信回線を介して送信先のパソコンに順次、送信される。

画像読出しスイッチ10は、指定先番号情報を電子画像情報と関連付ける為に、撮影済みの記録された電子画像情報を表示部6に読み出す為のスイッチである。
外部パソコン或いはカメラの操作設定回路(外部装置)11は、電話番号リストメモリ7に入力する電話番号リストのデータを作成するものであり、この装置11により作成されたデータが電話番号リストメモリ7に入力される。

赤外線通信用の赤外線(Irda)発振器12は、マイコン1のメモリ部1bに記録された情報を、赤外線通信により外部パソコン20に送信するものである。そして、外部パソコン20は、電子画像情報の送信先である外部パソコン22にインターネット通信を介して電子画像情報を送信する。
電話送信回路21は、電子カメラに内蔵された送信回路から構成され、或いは電子カメラに接続できる携帯電話から構成されている。この電話送信回路21は、マイコン1のメモリ部1bに記録された情報を、電話回線を介して送信先の外部パソコン22に送信するものである。

ステップS1:電源オンによりCCDを含む撮像回路2が作動し、撮影準備動作が開始する。撮影準備動作中は、撮像回路2により処理された画像がLCD表示部6cに表示される。

ステップS6:読み出された電子画像情報に、送信先の名称と電話番号等とを関連付けするために、電子画像情報を表示部6cに表示するとともに、氏名表示部6aと電話番号表示部6bを表示する。新規入力の場合には、両表示部は未入力状態を示する。更新入力の場合には、アップ・ダウンスイッチ4の操作により所望の電子画像情報を選択し、確定スイッチ5を押してその電子画像情報を確定する。同時に、氏名表示部6aと電話番号表示部6bに既に入力されている文字等を表示する。そして、入力を受け付ける状態を示すために、氏名表示部6aと電話番号表示部6bが順次点滅状態になる(図3(A))。

ステップS7、S8、S9:点滅された氏名表示部6aに入力する場合には不図示の文字キーを用いて行う。引き続き、点滅された電話番号表示部6bに入力する場合には電話番号リストメモリ部7から所望の電話番号をアップダウンスイッチ4を用いて選択し入力する。
そして、電話番号をセットするために、セットスイッチ5を用いる(図3(A))。セットスイッチ5により電話番号等の情報がセットされると、撮影済みの電子画像情報と指定先番号情報とが関連付けられた処理済み電子画像情報を、メモリ部1bに記録する。

ステップS10:ステップS4において送信モードであれば、ステップS10に進み。
ステップS11:送信スイッチ9がオンされているか否かを判定し、オンであればステップS12に進む。
ステップS12:既に撮影済みの電子画像情報と指定先番号情報とが関連付けられた処理済み電子画像情報を、赤外線発振器12を介してパソコン20に一旦、送信する。そして、このパソコン20から指定された送信先の別のパソコン22に電子画像情報を送信する。或いは、電子画像情報を、電話送信回路21を介して指定された送信先のパソコン22に送信する(図1)。

その際には、図3(B)に示されるように送信状況が表示される。この場合は、表示部6Cに4駒が表示されるようになっており、順次、送信が完了する毎に駒が送られ表示される。マーク6dは、電話回線を介して送信が完了されたことを示し、送信完了時に処理済み電子画像情報に付帯される。また、マーク6eは、赤外線通信により送信されたことを示し、送信完了時に処理済み電子画像情報に付帯される。

ステップS13:確認表示モードが設定されると、ステップS14に進む。
ステップS14:確認表示モードは、既に送信されている電子画像情報がどのような送信手段により送信されたかを確認するものである。従って、撮影済みの電子画像情報を、図3(c)のように表示部6cに9駒づつ表示するようにして、使用された送信手段を示すマーク6d, 6eを画像情報とともに表示する。このようにすれば、どの駒の画像が送信されていないか、あるいは、どのような送信手段により送信されたかを知ることができる。

(第二の実施態様)
第二の実施態様は、メモリーカードに電子画像情報を記録する電子カメラと、当該メモリーカードの着脱が可能な携帯電話との画像送信システムである。電子カメラは、撮影した電子画像情報と当該情報に関連付けられた指定先番号情報とを、メモリーカードに記憶する構成である。また、このメモリーカードを着脱できる携帯電話は、メモリーカードが装填されることで指定先番号情報に基づき自動的にダイヤルを開始し、電話回線で相手先に電子画像情報を送信できる構成である。

第二の実施態様の図5の電子カメラと、第一の実施形態の電子カメラとの相違は、記録媒体にある。第二実施態様の電子カメラは、電子画像情報と当該画像情報に関連付けられた指定先番号情報とからなる処理済み電子画像情報を、メモリカード等の着脱可能の記録媒体に記録できるものである点に特徴がある。その他の構成は、第一実施態様の電子カメラと同一構成であり、同一の符号を付してある。

また、第二の実施態様の図7の携帯電話(送信装置)は、上記メモリカードを装着でき、メモリカードに記録された処理済み電子画像情報に基づき自動的に電子画像を指定先に送信できる構成を具備している。図5乃至図8は、第二の実施態様を説明する図である。図5(A)は、電子カメラの外観図であり、図5(B)は、電子カメラのブロック図を示す。図6は、電子カメラのマイクロコンピュータのフローチャート図である。図7(A)は、送信装置である携帯電話の外観図であり、図7(B)は、携帯電話のブロック図である。

第二の実施態様の電子カメラは、第一の実施態様の電子カメラとほぼ構成を同じであり、異なる構成について以下説明する。
図5の電子カメラは、基本的には第一実施態様で説明したものと同じであり、異なるところはメモリーカード30を装着でき、メモリーカード30の装着口がカメラボディ底部に設けられていることである。メモリーカード30には電子画像情報と、当該画像情報に関連付けられた指定先番号情報とからなる処理済み電子画像情報のみが記録されている。

具体的には、図6に示すように、電子カメラの電源が立ち上がると、マイコンが起動し、図4と同様にステップS1〜ステップS9の動作が行われる。そして、ステップS16において、電子カメラにメモリカードが装着されているか否かを判断し、装着されていれば、ステップS17に進む。
ステップS17において、メモリ部1bに格納されている、電子画像情報と当該画像情報に関連付けられた指定先番号情報とからなる処理済み電子画像情報のみを、メモリカード30に転送する。電子カメラのマイコン1は、メモリカード30の装着を検出して、自動的にメモリ部1bの処理済み電子画像情報のみをメモリカード30に転送開始する。従って、メモリーカード30が電子カメラに装着されていないときには、処理済み電子画像情報はメモリ部1bに記録され、保持されていることになる。なお、処理されていない電子画像情報を、メモリーカード30に転送するには、アップダウンスイッチ4において所望の電子画像情報を選択し、セットスイッチ5を押すことで行われる。

また、図10の画像送信装置である電話機は、メモリーカードスロットを装備し、モニターではメモリーカードの電子画像情報を送信前に確認できる(図11のS42,S43)。また、電話機は、メモリーカードに付与された固有指定先情報を無視して、使用者が送信時に設定した指定先情報に基づき、電子画像情報を選択して送信もできる(図11のS47-S50)。

以下、具体的に説明する。
第三実施態様の電子カメラ(図5)は、第二実施態様の電子カメラにさらに付加機能がついている。この電子カメラCAは、メモリーカード30に固有の指定先情報を付与できる構成となっている。なお、通常は、メモリーカード30には専用の電話番号等の情報(固有の指定先情報)が付与されており、その情報を変更したい時には図9のステップS32-S34を実行することになる。
