Description

本発明は、画像形成装置の構造体の改良に関し、とくに、読み取りユニットとこの読み取りユニットを支持する構造体を有する画像形成装置に関するものである。   The present invention relates to an improvement in the structure of an image forming apparatus, and more particularly to an image forming apparatus having a reading unit and a structure that supports the reading unit.

しかしながら、特許文献1の開示では、読み取りユニットの歪みや変形を生じさせずに読み取りユニットの平面度を簡単に確保できるが、平面度を確保するための調整作業が必要となる。特許文献2の開示では、平面度のずれ量を小さくし、調整時間の短縮ができるが、調整作業を必要とする。また、特許文献3の開示では、支持部材の組み立て精度やネジ止め時の応力による歪みや変形は防止できるが、読み取りユニットの持つ重量に対する歪みや変形は防止できない。
そこで、本発明の目的は、読み取りユニットの重量を支える荷重供給装置を備えることで、読み取りユニット重量を吸収し、読み取りユニット重量による歪みや変形を防止し、また、予め読み取りユニット重量に対して支持部材の沈み量を補正量として荷重供給装置により支持部材位置を設定することで平面度調整作業を無くす画像形成装置を提供することにある。
本発明の他の目的は、荷重供給装置の荷重量を調整できるようにすることで、読み取りユニット重量のバラツキや各種読み取りユニットにも対応できるようにし、荷重供給装置により設定された支持部材位置が読み取りユニットが取り付けられたときに、読み取りユニット重量以外の要因で動かないようにする画像形成装置を提供することにある。

この画像形成装置は、装置本体Aの上に、読み取りユニットBが配設してあり、読み取りユニットBの下に記録紙排紙部Cがあるため、排紙された記録紙の取り出し性を良くするため、正面から見て右側2点、左側1点の3点支持をしている。
図1および図2において、装置本体Aは、多くの構造部材1〜7で構成してあり、読み取りユニットBは足Ba〜Bdで上下方向の位置決めをして、装置本体側の支持部材10、11上に配置する。
なお、構造部材1〜7のうち、符号1、2は読み取りユニットBの一側面の両端部に設けられ、読み取りユニットBの一側面の両端部を支持する第1の構造部材であり、符号3、4は読み取りユニットの一側面と対向する他側面の一方の端部に設けられた第2の構造部材である。
支持部材10は、両端近傍(図中10a、10bの位置)を縦に延びる構造部材1、2に対してネジ等で固定する。一方、他の支持部材11は、図3で後述するように、その一端を構造部材3に回動可能に軸支してある。
図3は一般的な、例えば、特許文献1により提案されている構造体を示す概略図である。読み取りユニットBを装置本体A上に搭載するには、図中矢印Zで示すように構造部材3に対する支持部材11の軸支点である軸21を中心として支持部材11を回動させる。
これによって支持部材11の他端の上下方向位置を調整し、それによって読み取りユニットBの設置面4点(足Ba〜Bd)の平面度を確保したことを確認し、支持部材11の固定部11aをネジ等で構造部材3に固定する。
図3において、読み取りユニットBを装置本体Aに搭載するときの必要な支持部材11の位置は、図中の平面度許容領域30の中でなければならず、そのために支持部材11の上下方向の位置を調整する必要がある。

この沈み量を図6に示すように求めた読み取りユニットBの重量Wを1例として、ばね軸22(回転方向にバネ付勢された軸)を中心として上下方向に読み取りユニットの荷重を支える荷重供給装置を備え、支持部材11の沈み量を図中の沈み補正領域32として予め支持部材11の位置を設定する。
これにより、読み取りユニットBが搭載されたときに、読み取りユニットBの重量Wをばね軸22が吸収し、その結果支持部材11の位置が沈み補正領域32から平面度許容領域30に来ることになり、平面度が確保される。

As an example, the weight W of the reading unit B obtained as shown in FIG. 6 is a load that supports the load of the reading unit in the vertical direction about the spring shaft 22 (the shaft biased in the rotational direction). A supply device is provided, and the position of the support member 11 is set in advance using the sinking amount of the support member 11 as a sink correction region 32 in the drawing.
