【0001】

【0058】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a desulfurizer and a desulfurization method for removing a sulfur component from a liquid raw material such as kerosene. More specifically, the present invention relates to a downsized desulfurizer and a desulfurization method that are incorporated into a fuel cell power generation system and used as a hydrogen production system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a typical fuel cell, there is one that generates power by a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. This chemical reaction fuel cell is a clean power generation system that does not emit carbon dioxide and air pollutants, and it is a highly efficient power generation system that converts chemical energy directly into electrical energy. Active development is underway.
[0003]
As one mode of utilization of the fuel cell system, it is considered that the fuel cell system is distributed and installed in hospitals, hotels and other facilities, factories, homes and the like. In this mode of use, there is no power transmission loss because power transmission by electric wires is not required as in the present, and heat generated with power generation can be effectively used as a heat source, so that a highly efficient energy system is obtained.
[0004]
In a fuel cell system, a method is generally used in which hydrogen is generated from a hydrocarbon-based fuel such as natural gas, alcohols, kerosene, etc., and is supplied to the fuel electrode of the fuel cell body to generate electric power (for example, Patent Document 1, Patent Document 1). 2).
With regard to these hydrogen raw materials, in the fuel cell system using LNG (liquefied natural gas) or city gas as the raw material for hydrogen, the use area is within the area where the piping for supplying these raw materials is provided, and is extremely limited. .
On the other hand, liquid fuels such as kerosene have a nationwide supply network and are easily available, so it is possible to install fuel cell systems throughout the country.
[0005]
As a method for producing hydrogen from a hydrocarbon-based fuel, there are methods such as a steam reforming method and an autothermal reforming method. In these methods, hydrogen is generated by passing the fuel through a reformer filled with a reforming catalyst.
In this case, in order to prevent deterioration of the reforming catalyst due to sulfur poisoning, it is necessary to connect a desulfurizer in front of the reformer to reduce the sulfur content in the hydrocarbon fuel to an allowable concentration or less.
[0006]
By the way, in order to exhibit the function of the desulfurizing agent filled in the desulfurizer, constant heating is required. Further, since the performance of the desulfurizing agent is greatly influenced by the desulfurization temperature, it is desired to make the temperature distribution inside the desulfurizer uniform.
Usually, the desulfurizer is heated by using an electric heater block or by a heat exchange method by integrating with a reactor such as a reformer.
However, heating by these methods has a problem that it takes a relatively long time to heat the desulfurizer (heat exchange method), and the temperature distribution of the desulfurizing agent layer tends to be uneven.
[0007]
If the temperature distribution of the desulfurizer is not uniform, the volume of the desulfurizing agent that is effectively acting in the desulfurizing agent layer is reduced, which causes a reduction in the life of the desulfurizing agent. In order to avoid a decrease in the life of the desulfurizing agent, it is considered that the volume of the desulfurizing agent layer should be increased.
However, when the volume of the desulfurizing agent layer is increased, the size of the desulfurizer increases, and therefore, it is not suitable for use in a fuel cell system that is required to be downsized. In addition, since the temperature increase rate of the desulfurizer becomes slow, the time required for starting the apparatus becomes long. In addition, cost increases are unavoidable due to reduced efficiency due to energy loss and increased use of desulfurization agents.
Therefore, as a heating method for the desulfurizer, heating in a short time is possible and a uniform temperature distribution is expected to be ensured.
[0008]
As a method for performing desulfurization in a liquid phase, for example, a kerosene fraction refined to have a sulfur content of 10 ppm or less is used as a raw material, and a raw material using a Ni-based sorbent at a pressure of atmospheric pressure to less than 1 MPa. There is a method of desulfurizing the kerosene fraction at a temperature of 150 to 300 ° C. (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
However, the above-mentioned problems such as downsizing of the desulfurizer are not described.

[0010]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In view of the above problems, the present invention improves the use efficiency of a desulfurizing agent and reduces the amount of the desulfurizing agent used to fill the desulfurizer, thereby reducing the size of the desulfurizer and improving the energy efficiency. The purpose is to provide vessels.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors have provided a pipe for supplying the raw material to the desulfurizer on the outer periphery of the desulfurizer, and preheating the raw material by means of heating the desulfurizer. The present invention has been completed by finding that it is effective for uniforming the temperature distribution in the desulfurizer and reducing the size of the desulfurizer, and also for saving the space of the hydrogen production system using the desulfurizer. .
[0012]
Ie The present invention In a desulfurizer for desulfurizing a raw material in a liquid phase, a conduit for supplying the raw material to the desulfurizer is disposed on the outer periphery of the desulfurizer, and the raw material is preheated using heat for heating the desulfurizer. As a desulfurizer.
As described above, when the pipe for supplying the raw material is disposed on the outer periphery of the desulfurizer, heat for heating the desulfurizer is conducted to the raw material in the pipe, so that the raw material can be preheated before being supplied to the desulfurizer. By preheating the raw material before supplying the desulfurizer, the temperature distribution in the desulfurizer can be made uniform, so that the desulfurization ability of the desulfurizing agent can be fully exhibited.
Therefore, since the amount of the desulfurizing agent filled in the desulfurizer can be reduced, the desulfurizer can be reduced in size. Further, since the desulfurizer can be made smaller, the temperature raising time of the desulfurizer can be shortened.
Furthermore, since the energy required for heating the desulfurizer can be reduced, the cost can be reduced and the energy efficiency in the fuel cell system can be improved.
[0013]
In this case, the desulfurizer It is preferable to provide a heating jacket on the outer periphery of the heating pipe, and to form a pipe for supplying the raw material to the desulfurizer inside the heating jacket.
If it does in this way, since the heating efficiency of a desulfurizer improves, temperature rising time can be shortened. In addition to the heat from the desulfurizer, the heat conducted from the jacket can be used to preheat the raw material before being supplied to the desulfurizer, so that the preheating temperature of the raw material can be further increased. The temperature distribution can be made more uniform.
[0014]
In addition, as described in
As described above, when silicone oil is filled in the heating jacket and the silicone oil is heated, the silicone oil flows inside the jacket and the temperature distribution inside the jacket becomes uniform. Therefore, the desulfurizer and the pipe line in contact with the outer periphery of the desulfurizer can be heated uniformly.
[0015]
In addition, when aluminum is used, the heat conductivity is large, and the heat given by an electric heater or the like can be efficiently conducted to the desulfurizer and the pipe line.
[0016]
It is preferable that the heat conduction medium used for the heating jacket is heated by a heater or water vapor.
When heating with a heater, there is an advantage that the electricity generated in the fuel cell can be used. On the other hand, in the case of heating with steam, since steam is generated by burning fuel such as kerosene, energy utilization efficiency is high and more preferable.
[0017]
Invention of Claim 5 uses said desulfurizer, and supplies the said raw material from the downward direction rather than the desulfurization agent layer with which the said desulfurizer is filled, and performs desulfurization by making it an up flow. As a characteristic desulfurization method.
In this way, the contact time between the raw material and the desulfurizing agent can be increased by allowing the raw material to flow upward from the bottom of the desulfurizer, and the active point inside the desulfurizing agent can be used sufficiently. Therefore, the desulfurizer can be downsized. Further, when the same amount of desulfurizing agent is used, the inside of the desulfurizing agent can be used sufficiently, so that it can be used for a long time.
Moreover, generation | occurrence | production of the gas in the pipe line which supplies a raw material can be suppressed, and it can suppress that gas accumulates in a pipe line and a desulfurizer. Therefore, pulsation caused by gas in the desulfurized kerosene that has passed through the desulfurizer can be prevented, and desulfurized kerosene can be stably supplied to the subsequent processes.
[0018]
In this case, as described in claim 6, it is preferable that the pressure in the desulfurizer is equal to or higher than the vapor pressure of the raw material at the heating temperature of the desulfurizer.
With such a desulfurization pressure, since the raw material can be prevented from being gasified in the desulfurizer, the desulfurization performance of the desulfurizer is stabilized.
[0019]
In addition, as described in claim 7, it is preferable that the raw material is kerosene, and desulfurization is performed under a desulfurization pressure of 0.1 MPa to 1.0 MPa and a desulfurization temperature of 150 ° C to 300 ° C.
Kerosene is suitable as a raw material used in a hydrogen production system because its distribution system has been established nationwide and is easily available and relatively easy to handle.
[0020]
When kerosene is used as a raw material, the desulfurization condition is preferably a desulfurization temperature of 150 ° C to 300 ° C.
By setting this temperature range, the desulfurization performance of the desulfurizing agent can be exhibited.
Further, the desulfurization pressure is preferably 0.1 MPa to 1.0 MPa.
This is because it is effective to apply pressure in order to suppress the vaporization of kerosene at a temperature at which the desulfurizing agent can exert its performance.
[0021]
In addition, as described in claim 8, it is preferable that the desulfurizing agent filled in the desulfurizer is a Ni-based desulfurizing agent.
As described above, by using the Ni-based desulfurizing agent, it is possible to improve the desulfurization ability when a heavy hydrocarbon such as kerosene is used as a raw material.

In the present embodiment, reforming is performed by a steam reforming method. That is, the hydrogen rich gas is produced by supplying the steam supplied from the steam generating boiler 36 and the raw material vaporized by the heat of the steam to the
[0053]
The reforming conditions are such that the internal temperature of the reformer is about 700 to 800 ° C., and the water vapor / carbon ratio (S / C ratio), which is the molar ratio of water vapor and carbon constituting the raw material, is 2 to 4. Is preferred. The higher the S / C ratio value, the more carbon deposition on the catalyst is suppressed and the life of the reforming catalyst is extended. However, in order to generate excessive steam, more heat must be input, It causes a reduction in the efficiency of the device. Therefore, it is usually set to a minimum value that can suppress carbon deposition on the catalyst. This value varies depending on the catalyst used, but is about S / C = 2.5 to 3.5.

In addition, the autothermal reforming method is a method in which steam reforming and partial oxidation are combined. When reforming is performed by this method, the S / C ratio is usually set to 0.5 to 4, O 2 The / C ratio is 0.4 to 0.6, and the reaction temperature is 700 to 900 ° C.
