また、上述の特許文献には発光管とホルダとの固定について開示はないが、一般的には、ホルダを発光管にねじ等により固定しており、かかるねじ止め作業に手間が係るという問題がある。
更に、発光管の交換やメンテナンスをおこなうためには、ホルダと一緒に発光管を保持枠から外し、次に、発光管からホルダを外し、新たな発光管をホルダに取り付けて、ホルダを保持枠に固定し直さなければならないので、発光管のメンテナンスに手間がかかるという問題がある。

本実施の形態にかかる照明装置1は、高欄3において、架木5の下面に装着されて、架木5の下方を照明するものである。
照明装置1は、保持枠7、発光管9と、発光管9の一端部9aに被着する一端部側ホルダ11と、発光管9の他端部9bに被着する他端部側ホルダ13と、各ホルダ11、13に設けた回転防止部材14とを備えている。
保持枠7には、発光管9と一端側ホルダ11及び他端側ホルダ13とを収納する照明用開口部15が設けてあり、照明用開口部15は保持枠7の長手方向に設けた照明用装着溝17の開口である。
