ゴキブリのようなふだんは人の目につかない物陰に潜んでいる害虫を駆除する場合、エアゾール剤を噴霧したり、燻蒸剤で燻したりすることが行われている。これらの製剤にピレスロイド系殺虫剤が配合されている場合には、ゴキブリが物陰から飛び出してくる現象(フラッシングアウト)がみられることが知られている。そしてこの現象によりゴキブリが殺虫剤と接触する機会が増えて殺虫効果を高めることができる。そのためフラッシングアウトは、物陰の多い居室、厨房設備、食品倉庫等でゴキブリを駆除する際に、重要な作用の一つとして認識されている。

このような理由からピレスロイド系殺虫剤は多用され、その結果としてピレスロイド系殺虫剤に対して強い抵抗力をもつゴキブリが出現している。このようなゴキブリにおいては、ピレスロイド系殺虫剤による殺虫効果の低減に加えてフラッシングアウトもみられなくなりゴキブリを駆除するのが困難となっている。

本発明は、上記のような状況に鑑みてなされたものであり、ゴキブリを効率的に駆除するための手段について検討を進めるなかで、ピレスロイド系殺虫剤に抵抗力をもつゴキブリに対しても、フラッシングアウトを増強させれば殺虫効果を高めることができるとの考えに至った。
ところが従来においては、このような技術思想について検討されたものはなく、その具体的な手段については知られていない。そこで本発明の課題は、この考えに基づいてフラッシングアウトを増強し殺虫効力を高めるための有効な手段を確立し、ゴキブリを効率的に駆除するための手段を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者らは、上記課題を解決するために鋭意検討した結果、複素単環化合物、特にN−アルキルピロリドンが抵抗力をもつゴキブリに対してもフラッシングアウトを誘起し殺虫効力を高める作用があることを見出し本発明に至った。すなわち本発明は、以下の構成により達成されるものである。
(1)N−アルキルピロリドンを有効成分としたことを特徴とするフラッシングアウト増強剤。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明のフラッシングアウト増強剤の有効成分である複素単環化合物としては、N−メチル−2−ピロリドン、N−ビニル−2−ピロリドン、N−エチル−2−ピロリドン、N−オクチル−2−ピロリドン、N−ドデシル−2−ピロリドン等のN−アルキルピロリドン;ピロール骨格を有する化合物;ピラゾール骨格を有する化合物;トリアゾール骨格を有する化合物;チオフェン骨格を有する化合物;チアゾール骨格を有する化合物;これらの誘導体等が挙げられ、これらの1種又は2種以上を用いることができる。これらの中でも難溶性の殺虫剤に対する溶解力に優れた、即ち殺虫剤に対する溶解助剤としての作用をもつN−アルキルピロリドンが好ましく、N−メチル−2−ピロリドンがより好ましい。

本発明の殺虫剤組成物は、本発明のフラッシングアウト増強剤、ピレスロイド系殺虫剤、担体等からなり、全量噴射型エアゾール剤、加熱蒸散剤、燻蒸剤、燻煙剤、線香、マット製剤、錠剤、ブロック剤、吸液芯用製剤、ゲル剤、ゾル剤、エアゾール剤、塗布剤、顆粒剤、粉剤、自然蒸散剤、ULV製剤等の製剤とすることができる。こられの中でも、全量噴射型エアゾール剤、加熱蒸散剤、燻蒸剤、燻煙剤等のトータルリリース型製剤(内容物の全量を10〜120秒程度の短時間に放出することができる製剤)とするのが本発明の効果を十分に発揮する上では好ましい。

表1に記載の組成からなる顆粒剤(直径3mm×長さ5mm)10gを製造して内容器に充填し、発熱剤として酸化カルシウムを用いた加水発熱型の蒸散剤にセットした。そして前記蒸散剤を喚起条件1回/時間に設定した試験室(32m3)の床面中央に置き、また試験室の対向する2隅に三角シェルター(一辺3cm、高さ15cm)を置き、その内部にチャバネゴキブリ10匹ずつを入れた。
そして前記蒸散剤を蒸散させて60分間暴露し、FT50(ゴキブリの50%の数がシェルターから飛び出すのに要した時間)、フラッシングアウト率(試験終了時までにシェルターから飛び出したゴキブリの割合)を求めて効果を確認した。その後、ゴキブリを清潔な容器に入れて25℃の部屋に置き、24時間後の致死率を求めた。試験にはピレスロイド系殺虫剤(ペルメトリン)に9倍の抵抗力をもつチャバネゴキブリ雌成虫を用いた。試験は2回行いその平均値を結果として表2に記載した。
