本発明は、タッチキー付き電話機に関し、特に携帯電話機又はPHSのナビゲーションキーについて、その中央(センター)キーを除いた4方向の方向キーは、シート状のタッチキーを配置してスクロールキーとし、液晶表示装置取付部のスペースを確保しうるようにしたものである。

従来、携帯電話機又はPHSのナビゲーションキーについては、ダイヤルキーを含めすべてのキー全体がゴムシート上に載置されてその接点部にダイヤフラムが設置されるようにした構成である。

すなわち、図5の携帯電話機等の縦断面図に示されるように、従来のナビゲーションキーは、4方向の方向キーの一つである液晶表示装置(LCD)51側の前方キー52は、中央キー53と同様に、ゴムシート上に載置され、その下にダイヤフラム接点が設置される構成である。ただし、図5においては、ダイヤフラム接点は図示省略されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、従来例では前方キー側に、液晶表示素子を制御する液晶表示装置を取り付けるためのスペースを確保しなければならないため、前方キーが存在することにより、スペースファクタを稼ぐことができず、小型化、軽量化が図れないという問題があった。

本発明は、上記従来の問題を解決するもので、液晶表示装置取付部のスペースを確保することができるようにしたタッチキー付き電話機を提供することを目的とする。

上記問題を解決するために本発明の請求項1記載の発明は、4方向のタッチキーを有するナビゲーションキーを有し、前記4方向のタッチキーはシート状にし、このタッチキーの一部が、液晶表示装置の一部と上下に重なり合って配置され、前記ナビゲーションキーは、薄膜状の導電コネクタが4つのパートにそれぞれ形成された下部のシートと、この下部のシート側の面に、前記4つのパートにそれぞれ対応する部分に導電性の膜を塗布した中間部のシートと、前記中間部のシート側の面に、前記導電性の膜に対応する部分に凸部を形成した上部のシートとで構成され、前記下部のシート及び前記中間部のシートの各中央部にそれぞれ穴部を設け、この穴部からボタンスイッチが挿入されることを特徴とする。

以下、本発明の実施の形態について、図1から図4を用いて説明する。

図1は、本発明の実施の形態に係るタッチキー付き電話機の全体構成を示す正面図である。図1において液晶表示装置(LCD)1のダイヤルキー側に設けられているのが、タッチキー2で構成されたナビゲーションキーである(但し、中央キー3は従前通り接点部がダイヤフラムで構成されるようにしたものである。)また、図2は図1においてA−A線に沿って切断した時の同じく本発明の実施の形態に係るタッチキー付き電話機の構成を示す縦断面側面図である。また、図3は図1においてB−B線に沿って切断した時の同じく本発明の実施の形態に係るタッチキー付き電話機の構成を示す横断面側面図である。また、図4はタッチキーモジュールの分解構成図である。

図1から図4を用いて本発明の実施の形態に係るタッチキー付き電話機の構成を説明する。図2において、携帯電話機又はPHSのナビゲーションキーについて、その中央キー3はプリント基板5に接点部が形成されそれにダイヤフラムが形成されるボタンスイッチであるが、その中央キー3を除外した他のナビゲーションキーはモジュールで構成されたタッチキーが用いられる。

図3及び図4を用いてタッチキーの構成を説明する。図3及び図4に示されるように、タッチキーモジュール6は逆三角形状の3枚のシートから構成される。

すなわち図4(c)に示されるように、下部のシートは、それぞれが一方の電極を構成する金属導電膜が相互に噛み合うように櫛歯形にされて接点部が形成されるようにする。なお、図示されるように、アース側の金属導電膜は共通接続され、導電コネクタ部10に導かれ、さらに導電コネクタ部10への引き出し線には絶縁が施されるようになっている。

以上のように本発明のタッチキー付き電話機は、4方向のタッチキーを有するナビゲーションキーを有し、前記4方向のタッチキーはシート状にし、このタッチキーの一部が、液晶表示装置の一部と上下に重なり合って配置され、前記ナビゲーションキーは、薄膜状の導電コネクタが4つのパートにそれぞれ形成された下部のシートと、この下部のシート側の面に、前記4つのパートにそれぞれ対応する部分に導電性の膜を塗布した中間部のシートと、前記中間部のシート側の面に、前記導電性の膜に対応する部分に凸部を形成した上部のシートとで構成され、前記下部のシート及び前記中間部のシートの各中央部にそれぞれ穴部を設け、この穴部からボタンスイッチが挿入されることを特徴としたものである。
