本発明は、金融機関や交通機関の窓口、あるいはスーパーマーケット等の精算所において紙幣や硬貨の入金処理および出金処理を行う貨幣入出金処理システムに関する。

【従来の技術】
金融機関や交通機関の窓口、あるいはスーパーマーケット等の精算所においては、紙幣や硬貨の入出金処理を機械的に自動処理するような貨幣入出金処理システムが導入されている。

上記貨幣入出金処理システムは、紙幣の入出金処理を行う紙幣入出金装置と、硬貨の入出金処理を行う硬貨入出金装置と、販売額や振込額等の金額を登録するとともに紙幣入出金装置および硬貨入出金装置に対して入出金処理を行わせる金銭登録機とで構成され、この金銭登録機はスーパーマーケット等の精算所においてはPOSレジスタがその機能を持ち、また金融機関や交通機関の窓口においてはテラーズマシンがその機能を持つようになされている。

前記紙幣入出金装置および硬貨入出金装置は、一般に入金貨幣を受入れて1枚ずつ繰込む入金繰込み部と、繰込まれた貨幣を搬送しつつ識別する入金識別部と、この識別部で入金可と識別された貨幣を金種別に収納するとともに1枚ずつ繰出すことができる金種別収納部と、この金種別収納部から繰出された貨幣を外部から取出し可能に投出する出金部とを少くとも有しており、入金貨幣の一時保留部については装置の運用仕様に応じ設けられる場合と設けられない場合とがある。

すなわちスーパーマーケット等の精算所で使用される場合は、顧客から預った貨幣を、釣銭を支払って顧客が承認するまでの取引終了まで顧客から見える位置に一時保管しておくという運用が多く、このような運用の場合にはその保管位置が一時保留部として機能し、貨幣の入金時には返却の必要がなくなるため装置内には入金貨幣の一時保留部を設けずに入金貨幣を金種別収納部へ直接収納するようになされている。

他方、金融機関等の窓口で使用される場合は、入金される貨幣の量が多いこともあって、入金貨幣を装置内で識別・計数して入金額を確認し、その金額が承認されれば金種別収納部へ分類収納し、承認されないときは返却するようになっており、そのため装置内には必ず入金貨幣の一時保留部が設けられていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかるに装置内に一時保留部を有しない貨幣入出金装置の場合は、顧客から預った貨幣を係員が確認して入金額をキー入力し、そのキー入力された入金額に応じて釣貨幣を投出させるため、預り額が多い場合や偽造貨幣が使用された場合に間違いを起こす可能性があるという問題点があった。

一方、金融機関等の窓口で使用される貨幣入出金装置は、入金処理と出金処理とが独立して行われる場合が多い。つまり或る顧客に対して入金処理を行った後に別の顧客に対し出金処理を行うというように、入金処理と出金処理とが無関係である場合が多く、そのため入金処理において一時保留された貨幣は入金承認がなされると直ちに一時保留貨幣を金種別収納部へ収納するようになされている。それ故、上記のような一時保留部を備える貨幣入出金装置により振込み処理のように振込額がキー入力されてその振込額以上の貨幣が入金されその振込額と入金額との差額を釣銭として出金するような入金処理と出金処理とを一連の一取引として行う場合には、入金承認がなされて入金額が確定したにも拘らず貨幣の収納が完了し終らなければ釣銭の出金ができず、顧客への釣銭の手渡しが遅くなり、それだけ顧客を待たせることになると同時に、一人の顧客に係わる対応時間が長くなることから混雑時に渋滞するという問題点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記の点に鑑み、入金貨幣を機械的に識別して入金額を確定するとともに、入金額が確定した時点で直ちに釣貨幣の投出と一時保留貨幣の収納とを行わせ、これにより顧客の待時間の大幅な短縮および1取引の処理時間の短縮を図ることを課題としてなされたものである。

上記課題を解決する手段として、本発明は、入金貨幣を受入れて1枚ずつ繰込む入金繰込み部と、この入金繰込み部から繰込まれた貨幣を識別する入金識別部と、この入金識別部で入金可と識別されたすべての貨幣を一括して一時保留するとともにその一時保留貨幣を1枚ずつ繰出すことができる一括一時保留部と、貨幣を金種別に収納するとともに1枚ずつ繰出すことができる金種別収納部と、前記入金繰込み部から前記入金識別部を経由して前記一括一時保留部および前記金種別収納部の各入口部へ貨幣を搬送する入金搬送路と、前記一括一時保留部から返却される返却貨幣および前記金種別収納部から繰出される出金貨幣を外部から取出し可能に保持する出金部と、前記金種別収納部の各出口部から前記出金部へ貨幣を搬送する出金搬送路と、販売額、振込額等の必要入金額を決定する必要入金額決定手段と、前記一括一時保留部に一時保留された貨幣の金額に対し入金承認指示または返却指示を行う承認手段と、前記入金識別部による識別、前記必要入金額決定手段による決定、および前記承認手段による指示に基づいて、前記入金繰込み部、前記一括一時保留部、前記金種別収納部、前記入金搬送路、前記出金部、および前記出金搬送路を制御する制御手段とを備え、前記制御手段は、前記入金繰込み部により貨幣を繰込んで前記入金識別部により識別し、入金可能な入金貨幣のみを前記一括一時保留部に一時保留する入金保留処理と、この入金保留処理により前記一括一時保留部に一時保留された前記入金貨幣の金額である保留入金額と、前記必要入金額決定手段により予め決定された前記必要入金額との比較に基づく必要な釣貨幣を、前記金種別収納部から繰出して前記出金搬送路により前記出金部へ搬送する出金処理と、前記一括一時保留部に保留されている前記入金貨幣を1枚ずつ繰出して前記入金搬送路により前記金種別収納部へ搬送して収納する入金収納処理との一連の1取引に係る処理を行う際、前記入金保留処理を行った後、前記承認手段により前記保留入金額に対する入金承認指示がなされた場合に、前記出金処理と前記入金収納処理とを並行して行う制御を実行するように構成されていることを特徴とする貨幣入出金処理システムである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を図面に示す実施の形態を参照して説明する。
図1は本発明による貨幣入出金処理システムを備えた貨幣入出金装置の一実施形態の外観を示し、図2はそのうちの紙幣入出金装置1の略示断面を、図4は紙幣入出金装置1および硬貨入出金装置2の各貨幣の流れを模式的に示しており、これら入出金装置1,2を装置本体3内に並列に組込んだ場合を例示している。
装置本体3の紙幣入出金装置1側の前面上部には、紙幣の入金口4、その下方位置に紙幣の出金口5が設けられ、上記入金口4の周辺に入力用操作キー群6、表示部7等からなる操作部8が配設され、硬貨入出金装置2側の装置本体3の前面上部には、硬貨の入金口9、その下方に釣銭硬貨またはリジェクト貨の出金口10等がそれぞれ配設された形態とされており、これら入出金装置1,2は金銭登録機11に接続されて入出金管理される。

なお装置本体3の前面には前扉12が横開き状に取付けられ、キー孔13にキーを挿入して開閉操作されるようになっており、また上記金銭登録機11はカードリーダ14を備え、使用者のIDカードを通して取扱責任を明確にするようになされている。

図2は上記紙幣入出金装置1の一実施形態の縦断側面視の概要図を示すもので、前記紙幣入金口4に続いて入金繰込み部15が設けられている。この繰込み部15は、紙幣を水平方向に搬送するベルト16と、このベルト16の上面に転接され紙幣を1枚ずつに分離する逆転ローラ17と、上記搬送ベルト16の上面上の紙幣の浮き上がりを防ぐため先端がバネ18の付勢により奥側に向けて下降するよう枢支された押え板19等で構成され、上記搬送ベルト16の駆動は専用のモータMにより行われる。

前記搬送ベルト16の後端に続いて入金紙幣の金種、正損等を識別して入金の可否を判定する入金識別部20を有する識別搬送路21が側面視コ字状を画くようにベルト群により構成されており、この識別搬送路21の末端は紙幣入出金装置1の前後方向中央位置まで延び、ここから垂直方向に配設された入金搬送路22に続いている。

上記入金搬送路22の下端は装置本体3の底部近くで折り返されて該搬送路22と平行して垂直方向上方に延びる出金搬送路23に続いており、その折り返し部の直後の出金搬送路23中に出金識別部24が設けられている。この出金搬送路23の上方は前記繰込み部15と入金識別部20との間の識別搬送路21の一部を構成している。そしてこれら搬送系は専用のモータMにより駆動される。
前記紙幣入金口4の直下位置には紙幣出金部25が、さらにその直下位置にはリジェクト箱26が配設され、このリジェクト箱26の下方位置には紙幣の回収カセット27が前記前扉12を開けて出し入れ可能に設けられている。

上記出金部25は、前記出金口5の開口部上縁のレベルと略一致する位置が下部走行面とされ前後のプーリー間に張装されたベルト28と、このベルト28の直下位置にあって図示しないソレノイド等の駆動手段により駆動される昇降機構29を介して水平姿勢のまま上下動する受板30とを有し、上記出金部25の入口側には上記受板30上に送入される紙幣の後端をはたき落として受板30上に良好に集積させるための羽根車31が設けられている。また上記受板30の前後位置には、周面の一部が受板30の上面から突出するようにローラ32,32が軸支されており、前記ベルト28の駆動により紙幣がスムーズに出金口5へその一部が突出して取出し可能とされるようになっている。

前記リジェクト箱26は、上面が開放されたトレイ状の収納カセットからなっており、装置本体3の前扉12を開けることにより外部に引出せるようになっている。

上記一括一時保留部36および各金種別収納部37,38,39は同じ構成を有するので、その一つ(一括一時保留部36)を代表して概略を説明すると、筐体42内の略中央位置に正逆回転自在で周面に紙幣が巻付けられる単一の回転ドラム43が軸支され、この回転ドラム43の周縁に2種のテープ44,45が共に巻付けられ、これらテープのうち一方のテープ44は筐体42の入出口部40の内側上部に位置するプーリ46、中間プーリー47を経由して巻取軸48に巻付けられ、他方のテープ45は前記入出口部40の内側下部に位置するプーリー49、中間プーリー50を経由して別の巻取軸51に巻付けられている。そして各部は専用のモータMにより正逆駆動される。

したがって紙幣を収納するときは、回転ドラム43が正転(図2において矢印方向に回転)して入出口部40から送入される紙幣をテープ44,45間に挟み込み、回転ドラム43の周面に順次巻付けて収納し、紙幣を繰出すときは回転ドラム43が逆転駆動(矢印とは反対方向に回転)してテープ44,45間に挟持されていた紙幣をプーリー46,49間から入出口部40へ送出するようになっている。

前記回収カセット27は収納専用とした場合を示しており、上部一側に入口部60が開口され、その内部には上下対をなすベルト61,62が設けられ、上部のベルト61の内端のプーリー軸には周面が歯車状の凹凸面とされたギザローラ63が設けられている。またこのギザローラ63の下方位置にはドラム64の周面接線方向に可撓性のある材料製の多数の羽根65,65…を有する羽根車66が図2において時計方向に回転自在に設けられ、この羽根65,65間に紙幣を受入れて反転させ、下方へ放出して回収カセット27内に集積するようになっており、羽根65,65間に紙幣を受入れた際に紙幣の後端がカールしているような場合には前記ギザローラ63の周面の凹凸によってその紙幣の後端を押し上げ、次位の紙幣の先端を羽根65,65間に確実に受取らせるようになっている。上記ベルト61,62、羽根車66等は専用のモータMにより駆動される。またこの回収カセット27は収納専用であるが、繰出し機構を備えて収納・繰出しの双方を行うようにしたものを用いるようにすることも可能である。なお図2においてPは収納された紙幣を示す。

前記金銭登録機11は、前述したカードリーダ14の他に、テンキーをはじめ入金・出金・返却・承認等の各種項目キーを有する操作部110と、金額や状態を表示する表示部111と、前記操作部110で入力された操作に基づいて販売額や振込額等の必要入金額を登録するとともに、貨幣入出金装置(紙幣入出金装置1および貨幣入出金装置2)の制御部90,108に対して入金指令、釣銭の出金指令、収納指令、返却指令、回収指令等の各種指令を出す制御部112とを有している。この制御部112の制御内容としては、まず操作部110で入力された販売額や振込額等の金額に基づいて必要入金額を決定し、貨幣入出金装置に入金指令を出す。その入金指令に基づいて各貨幣入出金装置が入金繰込み部15,100の貨幣を繰込んで入金識別部20,101により識別し、入金可能な貨幣のみを一括一時保留部36,102に一時保留するととともに一時保留した貨幣の金種と金額を金銭登録機11の制御部112へ送信する。制御部112はその金額を表示部111に表示して入金承認指示または返却指示を操作者に促す。
