本発明は、ロール状に巻回されたフィルム巻反からフィルムを繰り出し案内し、その繰り出し案内されて連続的に移送されるフィルムを対向する一対の縦シールロールの外周面に設けられた縦シール部材と横シールロールの外周面にそれぞれ設けられた横シール部材とにより挟持してヒートシールしてなる充填包装機におけるヒートシール装置の改良構造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来この種の包装装置として、たとえば液体、粘性のある物質などの被包装物である醤油やワサビあるいはマヨネーズなどを充填して密封する充填包装機が知られている。一般的にはその充填包装機として、その包装機の本体の側部に一対の保持枠が設けられ、この保持枠にフイルムを巻回したフィルム巻反が脱着交換可能に保持されており、前記機台の上部にフイルム案内機構およびフイルム折返し機構を配設し、前記機台の前面部に上側から縦シール機構、横シール機構、カッター機構が備えられ、巻反よりフイルムを引出し、前記フイルム案内機構を介して前記フイルム折返し機構に導出し、前記フイルム折返し機構に設けられたガイドによりフイルムを長手方向に二つ折りにして、前記縦シール機構に対向する一対の縦シールロールに設けられたそれぞれの縦シール部材によってフイルムの折返し端部同士を加圧しつつ加熱して縦シールを施しながら送り出し、この縦シールによりフイルムを筒状に形成し、前記横シール機構の対向する一対の横シールロールに設けられたそれぞれの横シール部材によってフイルムを加圧,加熱しながら横方向に横シールし、この横シールにより底部を形成し、これにより有底筒状に形成されたフイルム内に充填機構に設けた二つの充填ノズルによりたとえば醤油とワサビの二種類の被包装物をそれぞれ充填し、さらにフイルムが送られて再び前記横シール機構の横シールロールに設けた横シール部材によりフイルムの袋口側を横シールしてそれぞれの被包装物を封止し、この横シール箇所を前記カッター機構で切断することにより包装袋を得るものが知られている。

かかる充填包装機は、生産される包装袋の包装形態に応じてフイルムの厚みやフイルム幅、あるいはフイルムの材質が選定され、これに合わせてシール温度,シールスピード,充填量等の生産条件が決定されるものであり、これらの生産条件において良好なヒートシールを行うために前記一対の縦シールロールの縦シール部材によって筒状に包装フィルムを製袋し、次いで前記一対の横シールロールの横シール部材によってフイルムを挟み込んで、それを加圧すると共に加熱して、フイルムの内側に存在する液体や粘稠物質を上方あるいは下方へ追い出しながら(扱き出しながら)フイルムを溶融させ、その後硬化させることにより密封するように構成している。

またヒートシールに用いられるフイルムは数十ミクロンといった薄いものであり、この薄いフイルムを重ねあわせて加圧しつつヒートシールする際、フイルムに対する加圧力が不足する場合には、フイルムの溶け込み不良により未シール部が生じ、またフイルムに対する加圧力が高すぎることに起因して、フイルムが押し潰されてシール部分が薄くなりシール強度が低下する等のシール不良が発生するという虞がある。

このため一般的には、縦シール部材や横シール部材間の間隔合わせを正確に行なう種々の方法が用いられ、その一例として縦,横シールロールのクリアランス調整として、縦シール部材や横シール部材の対をなす各シールロールの一方を所定位置にて回転可能に支持し、他方のシールロール側をそれぞれ案内枠内でそれらの両端側を支持する軸受部材と共に一方のシールロール側に対して進退可能に案内枠に螺合させて、それぞれの軸受部材に当接するアジャスタボルトをマニュアル操作で回転させることによって、他方のシールロールの軸受部材をそれぞれのロール間に介装したスプリングのばね力に抗して、またはそのばね力に従って、一方のシールロールに対して変位せることにより所定の加圧力を加えながらヒートシールが行われるように構成したり、あるいは一方のシールロール側を包装装置の本体側に回転可能に設け、この一方のシールロール側に対して他方のシールロール側を案内ロッドなどを介してロールの押し圧を空圧で調整するロール押し圧機構を設けると共に、フィルムの厚さ寸法や幅寸法などに応じて間隙調整部材を介して各シールロール間(対向するシール部材間)のクリアランスを所定の寸法に設定することにより、前記ロール押し圧機構たとえば単動シリンダーにより縦,横シールロールの両端部を押し圧することによって縦シール箇所または横シール箇所が各シールロールのシール部材間に挟まれてフィルムが加圧されながら適正な状態にてヒートシールされるように構成している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで前述したように、たとえば醤油とワサビといった粘性の異なる二種類の被包装物をそれぞれ充填しながら包装フィルムをヒートシールする場合、縦シールロールの縦シール部材によって2列に筒状に包装フィルムを製袋し、次いで2列に製袋された筒状の包装フィルム内にそれぞれ個別に醤油とワサビとを供給しつつ、対をなす横シールロールの横シール部材によって筒状の包装フイルムを挟み込んで、それを加圧すると共に加熱して、フイルムの内側に存在する比較的に粘性の低い液体状の流動性物質からなる醤油と粘性の高い半固形状の流動性物質からなるワサビなどの粘稠物質とをそれぞれ上下に扱き出しがらフイルムを溶融させ、その後硬化させることにより密封するように構成している。

このように、特に粘性の異なる被包装物を同時に同一の充填包装機によってヒートシールする場合、横シールロールの横シール部材によって加圧,加熱しながら醤油とワサビなどとをそれぞれ上下に扱き出しながらヒートシールした時に、粘性の異なる被包装物を同じ加圧力によって被包装物を扱き出そうとした場合、粘性の高い被包装物(ワサビ)にあっては被包装物を押し出しながらヒートシールするために高い押圧力を加える必要があり、時として包装フイルムに対する加圧力が不足とフイルムに未シール部が生じたり、また逆に同じ加圧力を横シールロールによって加えていた場合、比較的に粘性の低い被包装物(醤油)にあっては被包装物を押し出しながらヒートシールしたときに、フイルムに対する加圧力が高すぎることに起因して、フイルムが押し潰されてシール部分が薄くなりシール強度が低下する等のシール不良が発生するという問題がある。

以下、本発明の第1実施例である充填包装機の概略構成とその動作について、図1から図4を参照して説明する。
