Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a magnetic tape cartridge in which a single reel around which a magnetic tape is wound is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, and a leader pin for pulling out the magnetic tape is fixed to the tip of the magnetic tape. In particular, the present invention relates to a structure of a storage portion that detachably holds the leader pin.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a magnetic tape cartridge used as a recording medium used in an external storage device such as a computer is of a type in which a magnetic tape is wound around a single reel and the reel is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case. Things are known. This magnetic tape is used for data storage of computers, etc. and stores important information, so that it is configured so that troubles such as tape jamming do not occur and the magnetic tape is not pulled out carelessly. Yes.
[0003]
Further, a leader member (leader pin in the present invention) is fixed to the tip of the magnetic tape, and the leader member is pulled out on the recording / reproducing apparatus side to be wound or rewound. The leader member is held in the concave storage portion so as to be detachable from the cartridge case, and the spring force of the lock member is used for the holding.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Thus, when the leader pin is engaged by the engaging member on the recording / reproducing apparatus side and pulled out from the opening of the cartridge case, the engaging member is inserted from the opening and is hooked by the rotation operation. It is possible to simplify the mechanism of the recording / reproducing apparatus so that the leader pin is engaged with the leader pin. If it moves, the leader pin may not be securely engaged.
[0005]
Specifically, a form as shown in FIG. 14 is considered. The leader pin 5 fixed to the tip of the magnetic tape 6 is taken in and out through an opening 10 opened in the side surface of the lower case 3 (the same applies to the upper case) in the cartridge case 4. A concave storage portion 55 into which an end portion of the leader pin 5 is inserted and locked is provided, and a tapered insertion guide portion 21 is provided from the storage portion 55 toward the opening 10. The lock member 50 that removably holds the leader pin 5 in the storage portion 55 has a substantially U-shaped flat surface, and the plate-like attachment portion 50a extends along the case side wall 3b (front wall) of the lower case 3. It is clamped between the side wall 3b by the mounting boss 51 erected on the bottom surface. Elastic arm portions 50b extending toward the opening portion 10 are connected to upper and lower end portions that curve forward from the rear end of the mounting portion 50a, and the ends of the elastic arm portions 50b are in contact with both end portions of the leader pin 5. A portion 50c is provided.
[0006]
On the other hand, the storage portion 55 has an arc-shaped contact surface that is received in contact with the peripheral surface of the end portion of the leader pin 5, and these contact surfaces are the elastic arm portion 50b and the holding portion 50c of the lock member 50. Therefore, the lock member 50 side portion (case front wall side portion) is cut off, and a portion on the back side of the center line parallel to the opening 10 of the leader pin 5 is formed in a short range. ing. The structure of the other magnetic tape cartridge is the same as that shown in FIGS.
[0007]
The leader pin 5 held in the storage unit 55 is pulled out (loaded) by an engaging member 60 (leader block) of the recording / reproducing apparatus. It has the engagement notch 60a engaged with the engaging part 5c (refer FIG. 2 mentioned later). The engaging operation by the engaging member 60 first moves in the direction of arrow A with respect to the opening 10 of the cartridge case 4 and opens toward the position away from the side wall 3b of the case front side of the leader pin 5. Then, the tip is rotated in the direction of the arrow B approaching the leader pin 5 in a circular arc shape, and the engagement notch 60a engages and engages with the engagement portion 5c of the leader pin 5. After that, it moves backward in the direction of arrow C, and the leader pin 5 is pulled out of the cartridge case 4 from the opening 10.
[0008]
In the pulling-out operation of the leader pin 5, when the engaging member 60 rotates in the arrow B direction and engages the leader pin 5, the leader pin 5 comes into contact with the engaging member 60 and the engagement in the arrow B direction is performed. In this case, the contact surface of the storage portion 55 is removed from the front surface side of the engaging member 60 with respect to the rotation operation in the arrow B direction, so that only the urging force of the lock member 50 is used. There is a risk that the leader pin 5 may be removed from the storage portion 55 or tilted without being resisted, and may not be properly held by the engaging member 60, causing a loading operation failure and impairing reliability in use.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a magnetic tape cartridge that prevents the leader pin from moving when the leader pin is engaged by the pivoting engaging member, thereby enabling reliable loading. Is.
