特許文献3は、バレルの外側においてスライダと各エンドブラケットとの間にゴムや合成樹脂から成る断面略コ字状の防塵カバーが取り付けられたものである。
ところが、特許文献1のものは、バレルの両端と各エンドキャップとの間に挟着された取付板に蛇腹に備えた環状板をビスにより結合する構造であることから、バレル両端をエンドキャップで塞いだだけの標準のロッドレスシリンダには、直ちに適用できる構造ではない。そこで、標準のロッドレスシリンダに適用できる蛇腹構造として、特許文献2のものを参照してエンドキャップの長手方向の外側に蛇腹取付部材を配置することが考えられるが、蛇腹が伸縮したときに蛇腹の内側に組込まれたガイド板がエンドキャップとバレルの形状により生じる段差によってエンドキャップ部分を円滑に移動できないおそれがある。
