【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image reading apparatus and an electric apparatus that are reduced in size by improving the mounting structure between a document conveying guide and an optical unit.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in this type of image reading apparatus, the upper lid of the optical unit is configured by a member separate from the document conveyance guide. This is because the optical unit is completely covered to prevent outside light, dust, or the like that may cause trouble during reading from entering the optical unit. In this way, it has been prevented that the reading ability of the image reading apparatus is lowered.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional image reading apparatus, since the upper lid of the optical unit is formed of a member separate from the document conveyance guide, it has become an obstacle to downsizing the apparatus. On the other hand, if the top cover of the optical unit is also used as a transport guide to reduce the size of the device, the transport guide has a plurality of holes for holding the paper feed roller and transport roller. Unnecessary external light or dust may enter the optical unit from the hole and adversely affect reading.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and even when the upper cover of the optical unit is also used as a transport guide, and even when the upper cover of the optical unit is also used as a transport guide, unnecessary external light, dust, etc. An object of the present invention is to prevent the reading ability of the image reading apparatus from being lowered by preventing the light from entering the optical unit.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A conveyance guide having holes or holes for attaching various rollers for document conveyance, conveying a document on the upper surface, and providing a wall or cover on the rear surface for blocking light entering from the outside through the hole, and a wall of the conveyance guide And an optical unit that can be directly attached to the transport guide with the upper surface open.
[0006]
By reducing the size of the image processing apparatus by using such a transport guide as the upper cover of the optical unit, even when the upper cover of the optical unit is also used as the transport guide, unnecessary external light, dust, etc., enter the optical unit. Since the entry is prevented, it is possible to prevent an adverse effect from occurring when the image reading apparatus reads an image.
