【0033】
<実施例1>
【0035】
<比較例1>

【0037】
<実施例2>
【0038】
<比較例2>

【0043】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus control method and an image forming apparatus .
[0002]
[Prior art]
At present, as an image carrier used in, for example, an electrophotographic copying machine or an electrophotographic printer, a photosensitive layer made of an inorganic photoconductive material or an organic photoconductive material is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a drum-shaped metal substrate made of, for example, aluminum. The formed drum-shaped photoconductor is widely used.
In such a photoreceptor, the performance deteriorates due to abrasion of the photosensitive layer or scratches or deposits on the surface of the photosensitive layer. Therefore, in general, the tolerable dose indicated by the number of copies or the number of prints is determined. Yes.
In addition, it is required to regenerate the metal material constituting the photoreceptor substrate that exceeds the usage tolerance again as the photoreceptor substrate for effective use of resources.
[0003]
When reproducing the photoreceptor, it is necessary to completely remove the old photosensitive layer formed on the outer peripheral surface of the metal substrate. The removal of the photosensitive layer is performed, for example, by grinding or polishing the outer peripheral surface of the photoreceptor to a predetermined thickness.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Thus, when the photosensitive layer is removed by such a method, since the thickness of the photosensitive layer is small, it is inevitable that the metal substrate is ground or polished, and the outer diameter of the metal substrate is small. Become. As a result, the reproduced photoreceptor with the photosensitive layer formed on the outer peripheral surface of the reproduced metal substrate has a smaller outer diameter than that before the reproduction process, and this causes document image information. Is difficult to faithfully reproduce, and there is a problem that the dimensional fidelity with respect to the document image information is particularly low. And such a problem appears notably in the metal base | substrate with the frequency | count of reproduction | regeneration of 2 or more.
[0005]
The present invention has been made based on the circumstances as described above, and the object is to reproduce the original image information faithfully even when the reproduced image carrier is used. It is an object of the present invention to provide an image forming apparatus control method and an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image with a high quality .
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]

[0009]
The image forming apparatus of the present invention is equipped with an image carrier having a photosensitive layer formed on the surface of a drum-like metal substrate made of a reproduction substrate having a reduced outer diameter obtained by a reproduction process. An image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming unit that forms a toner image on a body; and a transport unit that transports a recording material onto which a toner image on an image carrier is transferred.
A reproduction frequency history detecting means for detecting a reproduction frequency history of the metal substrate constituting the image carrier;
Based on the reproduction frequency history information of the metal substrate acquired by the reproduction frequency history detecting means, the conveyance speed of the recording material and the formation speed of the toner image on the image carrier by the image forming unit are reduced in the outer diameter of the metal substrate. And a process speed control means for controlling so as to correspond to the above .
[0010]
In the above-described image forming apparatus, the reproduction frequency history recording unit for recording the reproduction frequency history of the metal substrate constituting the image carrier is one of the metal substrate in the image carrier or a member provided integrally with the metal substrate. It is preferable to be provided in the part.
[0012]
[Action]
According to the control method of the present invention, the rotational speed of the image carrier is controlled according to the number of times of reproduction of the metal substrate constituting the image carrier, so that the rotational speed of the image carrier is adjusted to the conveyance speed of the recording material and the toner. Since the image is corrected to an appropriate size corresponding to the image forming speed, the change in the outer diameter accompanying the reproduction of the metal substrate can be compensated to reduce the influence on the visible image, thereby reducing the original image information. Therefore, it is possible to form an image with good image quality in which the dimensional fidelity with respect to is within an allowable error range.
[0013]

【Example】
Examples of the present invention will be specifically described below, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
A new drum-shaped photoconductor in which a photosensitive layer having a thickness of 20 μm made of polycarbonate containing Y-titanyl phthalocyanine is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a metal base made of aluminum and having an outer diameter of 59 ± 0.05 mm is shown in FIG. The image forming apparatus of No. 1 was mounted, and image formation was performed 200,000 times under the following conditions.
Speed of outer peripheral surface of photoreceptor; 59.0π [mm / sec],
Recording material conveyance speed; 59.0π [mm / sec]
[0032]
After the end of the first use life of the photoconductor, the outer peripheral surface of the photoconductor including the photosensitive layer is ground to a thickness of 0.1 mm, and is provided integrally with the reproduction substrate (11A) obtained thereby. Polycarbonate in which one through hole (20) is formed in the cylindrical member (22) fixed to the flange member (21) and Y-titanyl phthalocyanine is contained on the outer peripheral surface of the regenerated substrate (11A) By re-forming the photosensitive layer (11B) having a thickness of 20 μm, the photosensitive member (hereinafter referred to as “reproducing photosensitive member 1”) was reproduced.
[0033]
<Example 1>
The reproduction photoreceptor 1 is mounted on the image forming apparatus having the configuration shown in FIG. 1, and the rotational speed of the photoreceptor is (59.0 / 58.0) times so that the speed of the outer peripheral surface of the photoreceptor is new. When an actual image test was performed on a document image having a length of 400 mm by adjusting the rotation angular velocity so as to coincide with the case of using the photoconductor (59.0π mm / sec), the same size was obtained without changing the size of the image. A visible image was formed.
[0034]
Further, after the service life of the second and third photosensitive layers is completed, the photoreceptors obtained by performing the same regeneration process as described above (these are “reproduction photoreceptor 2” and “reproduction photoreceptor 3”, respectively). In each case, as shown in Table 1 below, the rotational angular velocity was adjusted according to the respective reproduction photoreceptors, and the same shooting test as described above was performed. A visible image having exactly the same dimensions was formed without changing the size.
[0035]
<Comparative Example 1>
When a reproduction test was performed using the reproduction photosensitive member 2 except that the rotational angular velocity of the photosensitive member was not adjusted, a deviation occurred between the recording material and the photosensitive member. An image defect having a continuous shift pattern was generated.
[0036]
[Table 1]
[0037]
<Example 2>
For each of the reproduction photoconductor 1 to the reproduction photoconductor 3, the actual image test similar to that in Example 1 was performed by adjusting the toner image formation speed and the recording material conveyance speed according to each reproduction photoconductor. As shown in Table 2 below, in any case, a visible image having exactly the same dimensions was formed without changing the size of the image.
[0038]
<Comparative example 2>
Using the reproduction photosensitive member 2, except that only the recording material conveyance speed was adjusted, a live-action test similar to that in Example 2 was performed. As a result, the formed visible image had a length of 398.6 mm. Met.
[0039]
[Table 2]
[0040]
As shown in Tables 1 and 2 above, in the case of Example 1 and Example 2 in which the rotation speed of the photoconductor or the conveyance speed of the recording material and the toner image formation speed were adjusted according to the number of times of regenerating the metal substrate It was confirmed that an image having high dimensional fidelity with respect to the document image information was formed even when a reproduction photoreceptor having three reproduction times was used. On the other hand, the rotation speed of the reproduction photoreceptor is not adjusted at all. In the case of Comparative Example 1 in which the reproduction photoreceptor is used, and the toner image formation speed on the photoreceptor is not adjusted, the recording material is conveyed. In the case of Comparative Example 2 in which only the speed was adjusted, a visible image having high dimensional fidelity with respect to the document image information could not be formed.
[0041]
As mentioned above, although embodiment of this invention was described, this invention is not limited to said aspect.
(1) The reproduction number history recording unit is not particularly limited in terms of the principle, form, and the like as long as the reproduction number history is stored and can be recognized, and can be variously configured.
For example, the metal substrate or a member (a flange member in FIG. 2) provided integrally with the metal substrate may have a number of notches corresponding to the number of times of reproduction or a marking.
Alternatively, a possible number of reproductions obtained by subtracting the actual number of reproductions from a preset maximum allowable number of reproductions may be recorded as reproduction number history information.
(2) The reproduction number history recording unit does not need to be provided on the image carrier, and may be provided on another component or the machine frame of the image forming apparatus.
(3) It is not essential that the rotation speed of the image carrier is controlled by automatic control by the reproduction frequency history detection means and the rotation speed control means. For example, the reproduction frequency history is confirmed by visual observation. The speed of the image carrier may be manually adjusted according to the reproduced number of times history information.
The same applies to the control of the recording material conveyance speed and the toner image formation speed.
(4) The reproduction number history recording unit may achieve the object of the present invention as long as the recorded information is not the number of reproductions of the metal substrate and is information representative of the outer shape of the photoreceptor.
[0042]
【The invention's effect】
[0043]
According to the control method of the present invention, by controlling the recording speed of the toner image onto the image carrier and the conveying speed of the recording material according to the number of times of reproduction of the metal substrate constituting the image carrier, these speeds can be controlled. Since the image carrier is corrected to an appropriate size corresponding to the rotation speed of the image carrier, the change in the outer diameter due to the reproduction of the metal substrate is compensated without adjusting the rotation speed of the image carrier, so that a visible image is obtained. The influence to be generated can be reduced, whereby an image with good image quality in which the dimensional fidelity with respect to the document image information is within an allowable error range can be formed.
[0044]
According to the image forming apparatus of the present invention, even when the reproduced image carrier is used, the above method can be executed to form an image with high dimensional fidelity with respect to the document image information. The desired operation can be obtained stably, and thus high reliability can be obtained.
