Description
【0001】
(A or B),(A and B)等の条件を設定でき、また、(A and !B)等の条件も設定できる。
【0053】
【0079】

[Prior art]
In recent years, image forming apparatuses such as printers have been remarkably increased in speed, but such high-speed image forming apparatuses are often used for notification work such as certificates and bills for general customers. For example, the address is printed on the front and the billing amount is printed on the back surface to make a bill.
[0003]
In such a case, when multiple invoices of different customers are continuously printed at high speed, the address and the amount of money do not match due to overlapping sheets, or the printing information such as the address and the amount of the charge is missing. If this happens, it can be a major problem related to customer credit issues.
[0004]
In order to solve such a problem, in order to analyze the cause when the problem occurs, communication information including a control command transmitted from the controller that controls the printer to the printer, paper conveyance information, image formation information, etc. In general, the control information is recorded as log data, or error information when an error occurs is recorded (for example, JP-A-11-109806 and JP-A-5-107720). See the official gazette).
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
[0006]
QIf the cause of the problem is in the software used to control the image forming device, the procedure to solve the problem is to analyze the recorded log data, identify the cause, redesign the software, debug, and evaluate There is a problem that it takes time because it is necessary.
[0007]
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems.,Log data recording device that can quickly cope with problemsAnd log data recording methodThe purpose is to provide.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention described in
[0009]
According to the present invention, log data of a plurality of control information related to image formation control in the image forming apparatus is stored. For each recording sheetRecordRecordIt has a memory to do. The control information includes, for example, communication information such as a control command communicated between the controller for controlling the image forming apparatus and the image forming apparatus, and a sensor provided in a recording paper conveyance path in the image forming apparatus. There is transport information such as a detection signal. The memory stores only the latest predetermined amount of log data, such as a ring buffer.RecordIt can be set as such.
[0010]
The stop condition setting unit stops the image forming control.Using log patternThis is for setting a stop condition.
[0011]
Stop condition judgment meansThe log data recorded in the memory is read, and it is determined whether or not the read log data satisfies the stop condition.
[0012]
The stop unit stops the image forming control when it is determined that the log data read by the stop condition determining unit satisfies the stop condition. In addition to stopping the image formation control, this may be notified. The selection means isWhether or not to stop the image formation control by the stop means when the stop condition determination means determines that the stop condition is satisfied. For each stop conditionInIt is selectable.
[0013]
Also,The stop condition setting unit may include a stop condition setting screen having an input box for selecting whether the image forming control is stopped or not stopped by the stop unit, and the selection unit may be the input box.
[0014]
A save memory for saving log data recorded in the memory,Log data is read from the memory, and the read log data isStop conditionAnd a saving unit that saves the log data to the saving memory when the two data coincide with each other.
[0015]
That is, if all the control information related to image formation control is recorded, the capacity of the memory may become insufficient. For example, the memory is configured to store only the latest predetermined amount of log data such as a ring buffer. To do. And set by the stop condition setting meansUsing log patternStop conditionLog dataAnd memoryFromIf the read log data matches, the log data is saved in the save memory.
[0016]
As the stop condition, for example, a predetermined log pattern at the time of abnormal operation can be arbitrarily set. As a result, the log data at the time of abnormal operation is saved in the save memory, so that the cause of the abnormality can be easily analyzed. The saving unit may not save the log data when the same log data is already recorded in the saving memory. The stop condition setting means may be configured such that the conveyance time of the recording paper from the first sensor that detects the recording paper to the second sensor is longer than a predetermined time.Stop conditions using the log pattern ofIt may be configurable. The stop condition setting unit opens and closes a tray for feeding recording paper into the image forming apparatus.Stop conditions using the log pattern ofIt may be configurable. Further, the stop condition setting means may be capable of setting a plurality of conditions and setting either a logical sum or a logical product of the first condition and the second condition. The control information may include any one of a control command for controlling the image forming apparatus, recording sheet conveyance information, and image formation information. Further, in a log data recording method for recording log data of a plurality of control information related to image formation control in an image forming apparatus that forms an image for each recording sheet,For each recording sheetRecord the log dataRecordThe log data recorded in the memory for reading is read, and the read log data is read by the stop condition determining step for determining whether the read log data satisfies a preset stop condition, and the stop condition determining step. A stop step of stopping the image forming control when it is determined that a preset stop condition is satisfied;Using log patternA stop condition setting step for setting the stop condition;Whether the image forming control is to be stopped or not to be stopped by the stop step when it is determined by the stop condition determining step that the stop condition is satisfied. For each stop conditionInA log data recording method characterized by comprising a selection step of selecting.

[0035]
In addition, by recording the time when control information such as control commands and transport information occurs as log data for each recording sheet, it is easy to locate the problem by referring to the log data when any problem occurs. I can grasp it.
[0036]
The
[0037]
As the log data recording format, for example, the time information (Time Stamp) is 6 bytes (one day, hour, minute and second information is 1 each for one log data as in the conventional format shown in FIG. 1 byte for 1/1000 second information), 1 byte for the control command (Command), and 2 bytes for the sheet (recording paper) number. In this case, 9 bytes per recording paper may be used. Bytes × 9 (3 types of control commands + 6 types of conveyance information = 9 types in total) = 81 bytes are required, and the log data becomes enormous.
[0038]
Therefore, in the present embodiment, the log data per recording sheet is set as a recording format as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, the log data information is composed of a sheet number (Sheet No) and time information of the time when three types of control commands and six types of conveyance information are generated (received). That is, the storage location is determined in advance in the order of the sheet number, the time information of the three types of control commands, and the time information of the six types of conveyance information. For example, the storage location of the control command and the conveyance information is determined in the order of occurrence.
[0039]
As a result, the control command information can be deleted as compared with the case of FIG. 4, so the log data per recording sheet has a sheet number of 2 bytes, time information of 6 bytes × 9 (control command 3 A total of 56 bytes (type + conveyance information 6 types =
[0040]
Thus, by using log data as table data, the amount of log data can be greatly reduced, and the memory capacity can be reduced.
[0041]
As shown in FIG. 6, the time at which the Hint command is generated may be used as the reference time, and the control command and the conveyance information after the Hint command may be recorded with a difference time from this reference time.
[0042]
That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the time information of the Hint command is 6 bytes as described above, the time information of the Print command is the time difference (1/1000 second unit) from the time information of the Hint command, and the Request command Is the difference time from the time information of the Print command. Similarly, the time difference from the previous control command or the time information of the conveyance information is recorded as time information.
[0043]
As a result, it is sufficient that the time information of the control command other than the Hint command and the time information of the conveyance information are, for example, about 2 bytes. Therefore, the log data per recording sheet has a sheet number of 2 bytes and time information of 6 bytes. +
[0044]
Next, the flow of the log data will be described with reference to the conceptual diagram shown in FIG. 7. The log

In the state S2 (LOG_TRIGGER_WAIT), it is determined whether or not information corresponding to the condition A or the condition B in the set log store condition is received. Here, when the log store condition is (A or B) and information corresponding to the condition A or the condition B is received, the state transitions to the state S4.
[0064]
When the log store condition is (A and B) and information corresponding to the condition A or B is received, or when the log store condition is (A and! B), information corresponding to the condition A is received. If so, the flow goes to the state S3.
[0065]
In the state S3 (LOG_TRIGGER_B_WAIT), it is determined whether information corresponding to the condition B or the condition A is received within the condition timer value E time. Here, when the log store condition is (A and B) and time-out occurs, that is, when information corresponding to the condition A or condition B is not received within the E time, or the log store condition is (A and! On the other hand, when the log store condition is (A and B) and information corresponding to the condition B or condition A is received within E time, or when the log store condition is (A and!
