このリブ14が無端状に連続した状態であると、遠心ファン1によって空気と共に吸い込まれた水がリブ14の内側に滞留し、異臭を放ったり、駆動モータ2を腐食させたりすることがある。そこで、リブ14に切欠部15を設けて、リブ14内側の水が遠心ファン1によって生じる空気流と共に空気流路2内に排出されるようにしている。

しかしながら、このような切欠部15を設けると、空気流路12内を通る空気流が切欠部15に当たって異音が生じるという問題が有った。特に、遠心送風機を吐出口13が下になるように傾斜して設置する場合、リブ14内側の水を排水するためには切欠部15をリブ14における最も低い部位、すなわち吐出口13近傍に設ける必要がある。ところが、吐出口13近傍は送風圧力が大きいため、この部位に切欠部15を設けると異音が大きくなる。そのため、従来は吐出口13近傍に切欠部15を設けることができず、吐出口13が下になるように遠心送風機を設置することができなかった。

本発明は上記問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、異音の低減と設置姿勢の自由度の向上を図った遠心送風機を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、請求項1記載の発明は、上下に延びる回転軸まわりに多数の翼が所定間隔をおいて設けられ前記回転軸の方向から吸入した空気を径外方向へ送風する遠心ファンと、この遠心ファンを回転駆動する駆動モータと、前記遠心ファンを収容すると共に前記遠心ファンにより送風される空気を前記遠心ファンまわりに渦巻き状に周回させて吐出する空気流路を有するスクロールケーシングとを備え、前記スクロールケーシング内部における前記駆動モータの周囲の部位に上方に突出するように形成され前記空気流路内の空気が前記駆動モータ側へ流入するのを阻止する環状のリブと、前記リブに形成され前記リブ内側の水を前記空気流路内へ排水するための切欠部とを設けた遠心送風機において、前記空気流路内を流れる空気を前記切欠部に当たらないように案内する整流部材を設け、前記整流部材の先端をノーズ部に向けて延長し設けたことを特徴としている。

また、請求項2記載の発明は、請求項1記載の遠心送風機において、前記整流部材を前記スクロールケーシングに一体的に形成したことを特徴としている。

【発明の効果】
請求項1記載の発明によれば、空気流路内を流れる空気を整流部材が切欠部に当たらないように案内するため、異音が生じることがない。したがって、吐出口が下になるように設置することも可能となるので、設置姿勢の自由度が向上する。

以下、本発明の一実施形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図1は本発明の一実施形態である遠心送風機の模式的縦断面図、図2は図1のA−A線断面図である。なお、本実施形態において、上記従来例と同一又は類似の部分には同一の符号を付してあり、重複する説明を省略してある。
