Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cell voltage monitoring connector for monitoring a cell voltage of a fuel cell.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell has an electrolyte membrane composed of an ion exchange membrane, an electrode (anode, fuel electrode, negative electrode) composed of a catalyst layer and a diffusion layer disposed on one surface of the electrolyte membrane, and the other surface of the electrolyte membrane. A membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) consisting of an electrode (cathode, air electrode, + electrode) consisting of a catalyst layer and a diffusion layer disposed, and fuel gas (hydrogen) and oxidizing gas (MEA) on the anode and cathode A cell (single cell) is formed from a separator that forms a fluid passage for supplying oxygen (usually air), a plurality of cells are stacked to form a module, and the modules are stacked to form a module group. A stack is formed by arranging terminals (electrode plates), insulators, and end plates at both ends of the cell stacking direction of the group, and stacking the cells outside the stack A fastening member (for example, a tension plate, the fastening member is a part of the stack constituent member) extending in the stacking direction of the layered body is clamped and fixed.
In a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell, a reaction for converting hydrogen into hydrogen ions and electrons is performed on the anode side, the hydrogen ions move through the electrolyte membrane to the cathode side, and oxygen, hydrogen ions and electrons (adjacent to the cathode side). The electrons produced at the anode of the MEA come through the separator) to produce water.
Anode side: H 2 → 2H + + 2e −
Cathode side: 2H + + 2e − + (1/2) O 2 → H 2 O
Since heat is generated by the Joule heat at the separator and the water generation reaction at the cathode, a flow path through which a cooling medium (usually cooling water) flows is formed between the separators for each cell or for each of a plurality of cells. And cooling the fuel cell.
Confirm that normal power generation is performed in each cell or every multiple cells, control the flow rate of the reaction gas based on the cell voltage, and guard the motor in case of abnormal voltage In order to apply, the cell voltage is monitored.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-283166 proposes a terminal connection structure in which two round holes are formed in each cell separator and a monitor pin terminal is inserted into each of the separators in order to monitor the cell voltage. .
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional fuel cell terminal connection structure has the following problems.
(i) Since the thickness of the cell is thin, if a round hole is formed there, the strength of the cell in the vicinity of the round hole will be weakened, and if the diameter of the round hole is reduced, the strength of the pin will be weakened. It is difficult to obtain structural reliability.
(ii) Since the pin is inserted into the cell hole and there is no retaining structure, the pin is easily removed from the cell, and if it is removed, a monitor failure occurs.
(iii) When a retaining structure is provided for each of a plurality of monitor pins arranged in parallel, a retaining mechanism is disposed in the insertion direction of each pin. However, in the pin insertion direction, a gas flow path (including a gas manifold) is provided. ) And the cooling water channel (including the cooling water manifold) are arranged close to each other, so that it is difficult to take a space for providing the retaining means.
An object of the present invention is to provide a cell voltage monitoring connector that can increase the reliability of the strength of connection of a terminal to a cell and can prevent the terminal from being detached from the cell.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cell voltage monitoring connector which can be provided with a structure for preventing terminal detachment without increasing the space in the terminal insertion direction, in addition to the above object. .
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention for achieving the above object is as follows.
(1) The separator of either the positive electrode or the negative electrode is inserted into the end of the separator of the positive electrode or negative electrode of the fuel cell in the connector insertion direction perpendicular to the end. A cell voltage monitoring connector that is attached to an end and monitors the voltage of the cell,
The cell voltage monitor connector has a housing and a terminal held in the housing,
The housing includes a box portion that holds the terminal, a lid portion that is connected to the box portion so that the inside of the box portion can be opened and closed, and a partition portion that divides the inside of the box portion into two spaces . The terminal is held in each of the two spaces partitioned by the partition,
The terminal includes a nip sandwich extended beauty the separator end to the separators side to the connector insertion direction by inserting the held and該函portion a box portion of the housing,
The terminal is in contact with the separator end of the fuel cell at the sandwiched portion,
The housing has a claw formed at an end portion of the housing portion and the partition portion of the housing in the insertion direction and projecting in a direction orthogonal to the connector insertion direction and toward the separator end portion side. And
The claw of the housing is engaged with a protrusion formed on a portion corresponding to the claw of the separator end portion and projecting toward the housing in a direction orthogonal to the connector insertion direction, Removal of the housing from the cell is prevented,
Cell voltage monitor connector.
(2) and the nip of the extending building the terminal to the separators side to the connector insertion direction, and the portion where the nail is formed out of the housing, in a direction perpendicular to the connector insertion direction, and wherein The cell voltage monitoring connector according to (1), wherein the connector is arranged side by side in a direction parallel to the surface of the separator end.
(3) The separator is disposed such that a portion of the separator surface parallel to the electrolyte membrane is in a vertical direction, the separator end to which the connector is attached is located at an upper end of the separator, The lid of the housing is located in the upper part of the housing part of the housing, and with the lid part opened, the terminal is inserted into the housing part of the housing from above the housing, and the lid part is closed. The cell voltage monitoring connector according to (1) , wherein the terminal is pressed in the connector insertion direction by a lid portion of the housing so that the terminal does not come out of the housing in a state where
[0005]
In the cell voltage monitoring connector of (1) above, since the terminal is brought into contact with the end of the cell by sandwiching the end of the cell at the sandwiched portion, the strength of both the terminal and the cell end is higher than that of the conventional structure. The strength reliability is also improved. Further, since the claw is provided on the housing and the projection formed on the cell is engaged, it is possible to prevent the cell voltage monitoring connector from coming off the cell.
In the cell voltage monitoring connector of the above (2), the pinching portion of the terminal and the claw of the housing are provided side by side in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction of the connector into the cell, so that there is a space in the connector insertion direction. A retaining structure can be provided without increasing.
In the cell voltage monitoring connector of the above (3), since the terminal is inserted from above the housing, the workability of assembling the terminal into the housing is excellent.

【The invention's effect】
According to the cell voltage monitoring connector of claim 1, since the terminal is brought into contact with the end of the cell by sandwiching the end of the cell at the sandwiched portion, the strength of both the terminal and the cell end is the conventional structure. Compared to this, the reliability in strength is improved. Further, since the claw is provided on the housing and the projection formed on the cell is engaged, it is possible to prevent the cell voltage monitoring connector from coming off the cell.
According to the cell voltage monitoring connector of claim 2, since the pinched portion of the terminal and the claw of the housing are provided side by side in a direction orthogonal to the insertion direction of the connector into the cell, the space in the connector insertion direction A retaining structure can be provided without increasing the height.
According to the cell voltage monitoring connector of the third aspect, since the terminal is inserted from above the housing, the workability of assembling the terminal into the housing is excellent.
