本発明は、水道水やその他の原水中に含まれる塩素や臭気原因物質、有害物質等を除去することにより、おいしく安全な水を供給するための浄水器に関する。

【従来の技術】
安全な水を供給するために、水道水には殺菌用の塩素添加が義務づけられている。そのため、水道水が雑菌により汚染される懸念は少ないが、カルキ臭により水の味は損なわれてしまう。また、この塩素と水道水中に含まれるフミン質などの有機物質とが反応することにより、発ガン性を有するトリハロメタンが水道水中に生成することも確認されている。

また、近年の河川、湖沼の汚染等により、これらを原水とする水道水中には、2−メチルイソボルネオールのようなカビ臭原因物質が微量成分として含まれていることも確認されている。これらの水の味を損ねる物質、有害物質を除去するための浄水器が広く使用されている。

浄水器は様々なタイプがあり、使用者の目的、設置環境に応じて選択されており、蛇口の先端に取り付ける蛇口直結タイプ、流し横スペースに据え付ける据え置きタイプ、シンク下空間を利用して、浄水部を設置し、専用の水栓に接続するアンダーシンクタイプ等が使用されている。

浄水器は、一般家庭のみならず、飲食店等における業務用途での利用も増えて来ている。業務用途に使用される場合、浄水器の設置場所、設置目的は非常に多岐にわたり、調理用途全般はもちろん、炊飯用途、製氷器等の専用用途でも使用される。このような業務用途における利用では、各種調理装置の手前への設置や、調理場所への邪魔にならない効率的な設置が望まれることから、浄水器と浄水出口の間にバルブを設ける先止め方式で、水道配管中に浄水器を設置することが求められる。

先止め方式の設置では、浄水器に常時水圧がかかることになり、浄水器自体に高い強度が必要とされる。このため、濾材カートリッジを取替え可能としたステンレス製の容器を採用した浄水器が提案されている(例えば、特許文献1、あるいは特許文献2参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の、ステンレス製の容器を採用した浄水器の場合、浄水器上部、蓋体に設けられる原水流入口及び浄水流出口は、接続配管根元が蓋体に溶接された構造となっている場合が多い。しかしながら、この接続配管根元部は、長期の使用に伴う加圧の繰り返しにより、最も負荷を受ける箇所であり、高水圧での使用、あるいは高頻度での使用により接続管と蓋体との溶接部分に亀裂等を発生するおそれが懸念されていた。

このような高負荷を繰り返し受ける出入口接続管根元部の強度を確保する構造としては、出入口接続管根元部を肉厚構造とすることが考えられる。肉厚構造としては、蓋体において出入口接続管を溶接する部分を設計上肉厚としておく構造、蓋体内面側の接続配管に接する部分に補強部材を挿入した構造、あるいは、蓋体上面側に外付けで補強部材を挿入する構造等が考えられる。

しかしながら、蓋体を肉厚設計とする構造は、蓋体の成型加工が難しくなると同時に接続管溶接面積が大きくなる為に溶接加工も難しくなり、溶接方法次第では強度向上が望めないばかりか、コストアップに繋がり好ましくない。

一方、蓋体内面側に補強部材を挿入する構造においても、複雑な形状部への加工となることから、溶接方法次第では強度向上が望めないまま、コストアップに繋がり、好ましくない。

そこで、本発明は、コストアップを伴わずに、高圧での繰り返し使用時においても高い強度を有する浄水器を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため本発明の浄水器は、内部に濾材カートリッジを収容し、原水入水接続管及び浄水流出接続管が設けられた容器と、厚肉部を有し、かつ、該厚肉部において厚み方向へ原水入水接続管を挿通可能な孔及び浄水流出接続管を挿通可能な孔が形成された補強材と、原水入水接続管及び浄水流出接続管のそれぞれに螺合する締め付けナットと、を有する浄水器において、補強材が、厚肉部において締め付けナットと当接することにより、各孔を通じて原水入水接続管及び浄水流出接続管の両方に差し込まれて固定されていることを特徴とする。
