本発明は、エアバッグやシートベルトプリテンショナ等の起爆装置を持ったガス発生器を備えている自動車部品の処理装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
車両が衝突したときの乗員を保護するエアバッグやシートベルトプリテンショナは起爆装置を持ったガス発生器を備えている。すなわち、エアバッグでは車両の衝突時にガス発生器の起爆装置を電気的に着火爆発させてガス発生器より発生するガス圧によりエアバッグを膨脹させるインフレータを備えている。また、シートベルトプリテンショナはシートベルトを装着したとき残っているたるみを取りベルトによる拘束を早めるためにガス発生器の起爆装置を電気的に着火爆発させてガス発生器より発生するガス圧によりベルトに取り付けてあるロッドを引っ張るようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このようなガス発生器を備えた自動車部品は車両の衝突時に確実に起爆装置が作動してガス発生器により高圧ガスを発生させ、エアバッグではエアバッグを膨脹し、シートベルトプリテンショナではシートベルトを引き込んで乗員の保護をしなければならないため厳格な点検を行っており、少しでも規格等から外れた製品は不良品として廃棄処理されている。この廃棄処理ではガス発生器の起爆装置を爆発させているが、その爆発音は115dB以上であり、作業環境基準である85dB以下と生活環境基準である70dB以下を大幅に上回るため工場内では処理できず、大掛かりな処理設備を持っている爆破専門業者に委託して廃棄処分している。そのため、委託する処理費用が高額であり、爆破した後で金属部やプラスチック部を分別処理すれば再資源化を図ることができるが、爆破専門業者に委託したのではそれができない。

本発明の目的は、起爆装置を持ったガス発生器置を備えている自動車部品を工場内等において爆発音を防音及び消音し、かつ作業者の安全確保の上で処理を可能とした安価な処理装置を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するため本発明は、請求項1に記載の通り、鋼板の周壁に防音材が施され扉が開閉可能に取り付けられた箱体の内部にエアバッグやシートベルトプリテンショナ等の起爆装置を持ったガス発生器を備えている自動車部品の被処理物を載置するための置き台を備え前記置き台に載置した被処理物を爆発させる遮音ボックスと、この遮音ボックスの上部に消音手段と排気口とを備えた消音排気塔を前記遮音ボックスと連通した構成を特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図1において、1は4本柱よりなる枠状のフレームであり、下端の4隅に車輪2が取り付けられている移動可能なものである。前記フレーム1の上部には遮音ボックス3が設けられており、この遮音ボックス3の上部には前記遮音ボックス3と連通している消音排気塔4が一体的に設けられている。

前記遮音ボックス3は鋼板壁6の箱体であり、前面には扉5が開閉可能に取り付けられている。前記箱体周囲の鋼板壁6には防音材7が施されている。この遮音ボックス3内の底部にはエアバッグやシートベルトプリテンショナ等のガス発生器を備えた自動車部品の被処理物Wを載置するための置き台8が備えられ、また、上部には天板19との間に空間の通路10を有して遮蔽円盤9が取り付けられている。前記天板19には通路穴20が開設されており、これに後述する消音排気塔4内の第2次消音小径筒12が設置されている。

前記置き台8には図示省略しているが、被処理物Wのガス発生器の着火部に接続されるコネクタが配置されており、このコネクタに遮音ボックス3の外部から手元操作スイッチ17がコード18を介して接続されている。

前記消音排気塔4は鋼板の円筒体11よりなり、その下端は前記遮音ボックス3の天板19上に固定されている。また、円筒体11の上端は排気口15が開口している。この円筒体11内には前記した第2次消音小径筒12が天板19に開設されている通路穴20と連通して天板19に固定されており、前記第2次消音小径筒12の外周に隙間を持たせ、邪魔板21を挾んで第4次消音大径筒13が天板19に固定されている。これら第2次消音小径筒12並びに第4次消音大径筒13は多数の通気孔を形成したパンチングメタルが適当である。さらに、前記第4次消音大径筒13のスカート部、すなわち、第4次消音大径筒13と天板19との結合部周辺の周囲には防音材14が施されている。

前記遮音ボックス3の前面に開閉可能に取り付けられている扉5の外面には図2で示すように、複数個の確認ランプ16が配設されている。この確認ランプ16は、例えば、電源入り、扉閉じOK、ロックOK、運転準備及び起爆ON等を表示している。

上記本発明装置による処理動作をエアバッグを被処理物Wとして以下に説明する。先ず、電源コードを既設の100V電源に接続し確認ランプ16で電源入りを確認してから遮音ボックス3の扉5を開けて置き台8にエアバッグを載置し、ガス発生器の起爆装置にコネクタを接続して扉5を閉じてロックする。

前記扉5を閉じた後に確認ランプ16で扉閉じOK、ロックOK、運転準備を確認して作業者は本装置から2m以上離れて手元操作スイッチ17によって起爆ボタンを押す。この手元操作スイッチ17の起爆ボタンを押すと確認ランプ16の起爆ONが点灯し、遮音ボックス3内の置き台8に載置しているエアバッグの起爆装置が着火爆発してガス発生器より高圧ガスを発生し、この高圧ガスでエアバッグが瞬時に膨脹し、かつ収縮してエアバッグの展開を完了する。

前記ガス発生器の起爆装置が着火爆発したときに爆発音は、遮音ボックス3で第1次消音すると共に遮蔽円盤9によって遮蔽し、さらに、図1の矢印で示すように、遮蔽円盤9上の通路10を通って通路穴20から第2次消音小径筒12に入り、第2次消音小径筒12で減圧して第2次消音する。この第2次消音小径筒12から邪魔板21を通って下降し第4次消音大径筒13に入る。この邪魔板21を通って下降し第4次消音大径筒13に入るときの部分、つまり、第4次消音大径筒13のスカート部で防音材14によって第3次消音し、第4次消音大径筒13で減圧して第4次消音する。この第1〜4次消音作用によって爆破時の騒音は周囲3m計測で65dB〜84dBの環境基準値内に抑えられた。一方、遮音ボックス3内で発生したガスも爆発音と同様に流れて消音排気塔4の円筒体11の上端より排出される。

前記エアバッグの展開後の取り扱いは次の通りである。扉5を開け、白い煙りが拡散してる最中は1〜2分放置し、煙りが拡散しなくなったことを確認してから、エアバッグをコネクタから外して遮音ボックス3内より取り出し、水気のない安全な場所に仮置きして30分間放置して廃棄処理する。

この廃棄処理の際には、金属部とプラスチック部に分別し、各指定のパレットに保管して資源再生処理専門業者に引き渡す。

上記では被処理物Wをエアバッグとしたが、ガス発生器を備えているシートベルトプリテンショナも同様に処理することができる。また、本発明はエアバッグやシートベルトプリテンショナの自動車部品に限らず起爆装置を備えている他の部品の処理にも適用することができる。

また、図1のフレーム1は車輪2による可搬式であり、電源があれば工場内等の適当な場所に移動して処理することができる便利性があるが、車輪2を持たない定置式とすることも可能である。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本発明によると、処理時に大きな爆音を発生する起爆装置を備えた部品の被処理物を高額な処理費用がかかる爆破専門業者に委託することなく工場内等で爆破時の騒音を作業環境基準の85dB以下に、また、生活環境基準の70dB以下に抑制し、かつ作業者の危険を防止し安全な状態で処理することが可能となり、処理費用の低減を図ることができる。また、装置自体の構造が簡単であり、低コストで提供することができる。さらに、処理後に金属部やプラッチスチック部を分別して資源再生処理専門業者に引き渡すことができるので再資源化が図られる等の実益ある利点を有してる。
