本発明は、携帯型内視鏡装置に関する。

近年、内視鏡は医療分野及び工業分野で広く利用されている。この内視鏡では、診断或いは検査対象が生体、プラント等の内部であるので、観察対象を照明する光源が必要である。このため、一般的な内視鏡装置では、内視鏡の外部装置として光源装置を用意し、この光源装置で発する照明光を内視鏡に設けたライトガイドに供給し、この照明光を内視鏡の挿入部先端の照明窓から出射して内視鏡検査部位を照明する。そして、この照明窓に隣設された観察窓に取り付けられた対物光学系の結像位置に光学像が結ばれる。

しかしながら、内視鏡が電子式の場合には、前記結像位置に電荷結合素子(CCD)等の撮像素子を配置して光学像を画像信号に光電変換する。そして、この撮像素子から出力される画像信号をビデオ処理装置で信号処理してビデオ信号を生成し、このビデオ信号をモニタ装置に出力して画面上に内視鏡観察部位の画像を表示させて観察を行う。つまり、電子式内視鏡で検査を行う場合には、前記光学式の内視鏡装置の構成である内視鏡と光源装置との組合せに加えて、ビデオ処理装置とモニタ装置とが必要になるので、携帯型の内視鏡装置を構成することが難しい。
