本発明は能動的騒音制御を用いた消音装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年、空調騒音、あるいは工場や自動車の室内騒音などをディジタル信号処理技術を用いてスピーカから制御音を出力して消音する能動的騒音装置が提案されている。

以下、図12により従来の消音装置について説明する。
図12は、従来の消音装置のブロック図を示すものである。同図において、1a,1bは騒音検出器および誤差検出器であるところのマイクロホン、2a,2bはマイクアンプ、3a,3b,3cはローパスフィルタ、4a,4bはサンプルホールド回路、5a,5bはADコンバータ、6はアダプティブフィルタ、7はDAコンバータ、8はパワーアンプ、9aはスピーカ、10は伝達関数補正器であるところのFxフィルタ、11は係数演算器であるところのLMS演算器である。

以上のように構成された消音装置について、以下その動作について説明する。まず騒音はマイクロホン1aで検出され、その検出信号がマイクアンプ2aで増幅された後、ローパスフィルタ3aで高域成分を除去する。そしてローパスフィルタ3aの出力は、サンプルホールド回路4aでサンプリング周期毎にサンプルされ、その出力がADコンバータ5aでデジタル信号に変換される。そしてADコンバータ5aの出力は、アダプティブフィルタ6とFxフィルタ10に入力される。そしてアダプティブフィルタ6で信号処理された騒音信号は、DAコンバータ7によってアナログ信号に復元され、ローパスフィルタ3cで高域成分を除去された後、パワーアンプ8で増幅されてスピーカ9aから出力される。

そして騒音制御点に設置されたマイクロホン1bでは、スピーカ9aからの再生音と騒音源からの騒音が干渉した音を検出する。そしてマイクロホン1bからの誤差信号は、マイクアンプ2bで増幅された後、ローパスフィルタ3bで高域成分を除去される。そしてローパスフィルタ3bの出力は、サンプルホールド回路4bでサンプリング周期毎にサンプルされ、その出力がADコンバータ5bでデジタル信号に変換される。一方、Fxフィルタ10にはDAコンバータ7からスピーカ9a、マイクロホン1bを介してADコンバータ5bまでの伝達関数が予め係数として求められており、ADコンバータ5aからの信号がこの係数を用いて処理され、LMS演算器11に入力される。LMS演算器11はこのFxフィルタ10からの出力とADコンバータ5bからの出力を用いて、ADコンバータ5bからの出力信号が最小となるようにLMS演算(最小自乗法)を行ってアダプティブフィルタ6の係数を更新する。これによってマイクロホン1bにおいてスピーカ9aからの制御音により騒音が減衰する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら図12のように騒音源の騒音をマイクロホン1aで検出してアダプティブフィルタ6で制御信号を発生させ、スピーカ9aより出力して低減する。所謂フィードフォワード制御の場合、図13に示すように、騒音源から制御点(この場合はマイクロホン1bの位置)までの距離を騒音が伝達する時間と、マイクロホン1aで騒音を検出してからスピーカ9aより制御音が出力されてマイクロホン1bに到達する時間が等しくなければならない(等しくする微調整は、アダプティブフィルタ6が行う)。

もし、騒音伝達時間より、マイクロホン1aで騒音を検出してからスピーカ9aより制御音が出力されてマイクロホン1bに到達する時間が大きい場合には、騒音を低減することができないばかりか、逆に騒音を付加してしまう危険性がある。しかし実際、騒音制御の多くの場合には、騒音伝達時間が小さい(騒音源から制御点までの距離が短い)ために、図13に示す各要素の所要時間を小さくしなければならない。スピーカ9aの群遅延とスピーカ9aからマイクロホン1bまでの空間伝搬時間については調整しにくいために、それ以外の回路部分で処理遅延時間を小さくする必要がある。

例えば、ローパスフィルタ3a,3cは、アンチエイリアスフィルタなので図14に示すように、ナイキスト周波数fnで十分減衰する振幅特性を有する遮断特性の急峻な(通常5,6次以上のチェビシェフ特性が使われる)ものを使用するので、群遅延が大きくなってしまう。また逆に、ローパスフィルタ3a,3cの群遅延を小さくするために1次や2次のフィルタとして、ADC5aやDAC7をデルタシグマ型の1ビットADコンバータ、デルタシグマ型の1ビットDAコンバータを用いても、デルタシグマ型は遅延が大きいので上記問題点を解決することはできない。

また、演算遅延時間を小さくするためにFxフィルタのタップ数を少なくするとFxフィルタの低域成分における係数を正確に形成することができない。

さらに、騒音制御周波数帯域外の高域信号はアダプティブフィルタの成長を不安定にし、アダプティブフィルタ係数が発散する恐れがある。

本発明は消音装置の処理遅延時間を小さくして、騒音伝達時間が小さい場合やFxフィルタのタップ数が少ない場合にも騒音を低減し、安定に消音装置を動作させることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この課題を解決するために本発明の消音装置は、騒音源からの騒音を検出する騒音検出器と、前記騒音検出器からの騒音の高域成分を除去する第1のローパスフィルタと、前記第1のローパスフィルタのアナログ出力をサンプルしてデジタル信号に量子化を行う第1のAD変換回路と、前記第1のAD変換回路からのデジタル信号を適応制御するアダプティブフィルタと、同じく前記第1のAD変換回路からのデジタル変換された騒音信号を信号処理する伝達関数補正器と、前記アダプティブフィルタの出力をアナログ信号に変換するDAコンバータと、前記DAコンバータの出力を再生するスピーカと、前記スピーカからの制御音と騒音源からの騒音が干渉して騒音を低減させる制御位置に設置された誤差検出器と、前記誤差検出器で検出される誤差信号の高域成分を除去する第2のローパスフィルタと、前記第2のローパスフィルタのアナログ出力をサンプルしてデジタル信号に量子化を行う第2のAD変換回路と、前記伝達関数補正器の出力と前記第2のAD変換回路の出力から前記アダプティブフィルタの係数を演算して更新する係数演算器とで構成し、前記伝達関数補正器には前記スピーカから誤差検出器までの伝達関数を予め係数として同定すると共に、前記スピーカの音圧周波数特性の音圧レベルを、サンプリング周波数の半分の周波数(ナイキスト周波数)より高い帯域で前記DAコンバータからの出力による影響が問題とならない程度に低くして処理遅延時間を小さくしたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の消音装置の請求項1に記載の発明は、騒音源からの騒音を検出する騒音検出器と、前記騒音検出器からの騒音の高域成分を除去する第1のローパスフィルタと、前記第1のローパスフィルタのアナログ出力をサンプルしてデジタル信号に量子化を行う第1のAD変換回路と、前記第1のAD変換回路からのデジタル信号を適応制御するアダプティブフィルタと、同じく前記第1のAD変換回路からのデジタル変換された騒音信号を信号処理する伝達関数補正器と、前記アダプティブフィルタの出力をアナログ信号に変換するDAコンバータと、前記DAコンバータの出力を再生するスピーカと、前記スピーカからの制御音と騒音源からの騒音が干渉して騒音を低減させる制御位置に設置された誤差検出器と、前記誤差検出器で検出される誤差信号の高域成分を除去する第2のローパスフィルタと、前記第2のローパスフィルタのアナログ出力をサンプルしてデジタル信号に量子化を行う第2のAD変換回路と、前記伝達関数補正器の出力と前記第2のAD変換回路の出力から前記アダプティブフィルタの係数を演算して更新する係数演算器とで構成し、前記伝達関数補正器には前記スピーカから誤差検出器までの伝達関数を予め係数として同定すると共に、前記スピーカの音圧周波数特性の音圧レベルを、サンプリング周波数の半分の周波数(ナイキスト周波数)より高い帯域で前記DAコンバータからの出力による影響が問題とならない程度に低くして処理遅延時間を小さくしたものである。

以下本発明の一実施の形態について、図1から図11により説明する。
(実施の形態1)
図1は本発明の一実施の形態の消音装置のブロック図を示すものである。同図において、1a,1bは騒音検出器および誤差検出器であるところのマイクロホン、2a,2bはマイクアンプ、3a,3bはローパスフィルタ、4a,4bはサンプルホールド回路、5a,5bはADコンバータ(変換回路)、6はアダプティブフィルタ、7はDAコンバータ、8はパワーアンプ、9はスピーカ、10は伝達関数補正器であるところのFxフィルタ、11は係数演算器であるところのLMS演算器である。

以上のように構成された消音装置について、以下その動作について説明する。

ここで、スピーカ9の音圧周波数特性は、例えば図2に示すように、騒音制御効果のある周波数帯域f1〜f2における音圧レベルよりも、ナイキスト周波数fn以上の帯域における音圧レベルを十分に小さくしているのでDAコンバータ7の出力を帯域制限するローパスフィルタがなくてもスピーカ9より再生されない(あるいは再生レベルが小さい)ために、折り返し歪み(fnを軸対称として太線で示される特性)の影響は問題にならないようになっている。

次に、騒音制御点に設置されたマイクロホン1bでは、スピーカ9からの再生音と騒音源からの騒音が干渉した音を検出する。そしてマイクロホン1bからの誤差信号は、マイクアンプ2bで増幅された後、ローパスフィルタ3bで高域成分を除去される。そしてローパスフィルタ3bの出力は、サンプルホールド回路4bでサンプリング周期毎にサンプルされ、その出力がADコンバータ5bでデジタル信号に変換される。

一方、Fxフィルタ10にはDAコンバータ7からスピーカ9、マイクロホン1bを介してADコンバータ5bまでの伝達関数が予め係数として求められており、ADコンバータ5aからの信号がこの係数を用いて処理され、LMS演算器11に入力される。LMS演算器11はこのFxフィルタ10からの出力とADコンバータ5bからの出力を用いて、ADコンバータ5bからの出力信号が最小となるようにLMS演算(最小自乗法)を行ってアダプティブフィルタ6の係数を更新する。これによってマイクロホン1bにおいてスピーカ9からの制御音により騒音が減衰する。

このように、スピーカ9の音圧周波数特性が図2のようにナイキスト周波数fn以上の帯域で十分にレベルが低い特性とすることにより、図12に示す従来例では必要であったDAコンバータ7の後のローパスフィルタ3cを省略できるため、図12におけるローパスフィルタ3cの群遅延分だけ消音装置の処理遅延時間を小さくできる。これによって、騒音検出点から制御点の距離を短くできる。また、その分のコストも低減できる。

なお、マイクロホン1aでの騒音の音圧レベルを図3のように、騒音が低減される帯域f1〜f2における騒音低減後の音圧レベルよりも、ナイキスト周波数fn以上の帯域の音圧レベルを小さくした場合、ローパスフィルタ3aは不要となり、ローパスフィルタ3aの群遅延分だけ消音装置の処理遅延時間を小さくでき、コストも低減できる。

しかし、図4のように音圧レベル差がほとんど等しい場合には、騒音制御効果に影響を与える危険性がある。この場合にはローパスフィルタ3aの振幅周波数特性を図5に示すような、遮断特性のゆるやかなものにして、ナイキスト周波数fn以上の帯域を10dB以上遮断することにより、不要な高周波成分が騒音制御効果に影響を与えることが防止でき、しかも図14のような急峻な特性を使用しないためにローパスフィルタ3aの群遅延を最小限にとどめることができる。

さらに、騒音が騒音源からマイクロホン1bまで伝達する間に高周波成分が距離減衰したり、遮音や吸音される場合が多く、このときのマイクロホン1bで検出される騒音の音圧周波数特性は図3のように、騒音制御帯域f1〜f2とナイキスト周波数fn以上の帯域で十分な音圧レベル差があるので、ローパスフィルタ3bは不要となり、その分コストを低減できる。またマイクロホン1bでの騒音特性が図4のような場合には、図5に示すような、遮断段特性のゆるやかなものにして、ナイキスト周波数fn以上の帯域を10dB以上遮断することにより、不要な高周波成分が騒音制御効果に影響を与えることが防止できる。

次に、図6に示すように、騒音信号がサンプルホールド回路4aでサンプリングされてからADコンバータ5aで量子化されてアダプティブフィルタ6に入力されるまでの時間がサンプリング周期の半分であり、同様に、アダプティブフィルタ6から制御信号が出力されてからDAコンバータ7でアナログ信号に復元されるまでの時間がサンプリング周期の半分である場合、アダプティブフィルタ6の入出力遅延時間が丁度1サンプル周期となるので、安定に且つ遅延時間を小さくできる。

また、騒音制御帯域が図3のようにナイキスト周波数よりも十分に低い場合には、図7に示すように、上記アダプティブフィルタ6の入出力遅延時間が1サンプル周期以下となるようにAD変換時間およびDA変換時間を小さくしても騒音制御効果に悪影響を与えることはなく、消音装置全体の処理遅延時間を小さくできる。さらに、AD変換時間を小さくするためには、最近、音響分野で主流になっているデルタ−シグマ型の1ビットADコンバータでは遅延時間が大きいため、逐次比較型を使用するとよい。さらにアダプティブフィルタ6とADコンバータ5a間のデータ転送と、アダプティブフィルタ6とDAコンバータ7間のデータ転送は、時間のかかるシリアル転送ではなく、転送時間のかからないパラレル転送が良い。

なお、本実施の形態では、AD変換器をサンプルホールド回路とADコンバータからなる構成としたが、当然サンプルホールド回路を内蔵したADコンバータを使用してもよい。また、マイクロホン1bの検出信号を量子化するAD変換器には、デルタ−シグマ型の1ビットADコンバータを使用してもよい。その場合には、ローパスフィルタ3bが不要となる利点も出る。

また、DAコンバータ7の出力を帯域制限するローパスフィルタを不要とし、ローパスフィルタ3aの遮断特性をゆるやかなものとすることによる、高周波帯域への悪影響を防止するために、ローパスフィルタ3bの遮断周波数をナイキスト周波数以下に設定して、騒音制御帯域以外の係数更新を抑えるようにしてもよい。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本発明によれば、音圧周波数特性が、サンプリング周波数の半分の周波数(ナイキスト周波数)より高い帯域で十分に音圧を小さくしているので特に誤差検出器の位置で騒音が低減された周波数帯域における音圧レベルよりも、ナイキスト周波数以上の帯域における音圧レベルをDAコンバータからの出力による影響が問題とならない程度に低くしてDAコンバータの出力を帯域制限するローパスフィルタを省略し、これによって消音装置全体の遅延時間を小さくできるものである。
