BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tune display device that displays a tune of a charged particle beam accelerated while circling in a circular accelerator, and a circular accelerator system having the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a circular accelerator represented by a synchrotron, a charged particle beam (hereinafter referred to as a beam) is accelerated while rotating, but the beam circulating in the synchrotron vibrates (referred to as a betatron oscillation) The betatron frequency is called tune. When this tune reaches a certain value, “resonance” occurs in which the betatron oscillation amplitude of the beam suddenly increases. A tune value that causes resonance is called a resonance point. If the vibration amplitude of the beam continues to increase due to this resonance, the beam eventually collides with a vacuum duct or the like and is lost. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the beam tune away from the resonance point.
[0003]
In order to control the tune, a technique for measuring the tune of the circulating beam has been devised. As an example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-3100 measures and displays the tune of the beam using the RF knockout method. Is described. Specifically, a high frequency signal is applied to the electrode for generating an electric field while changing the frequency, and the output level for each frequency of the signal obtained from the detection electrode is obtained and displayed according to the changing beam position. .
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above prior art, the tune display method is not specifically described. However, even if the tune value is simply displayed, it is determined which device should be controlled in order to move the tune away from the resonance point. Is difficult.
[0005]
The purpose of the present invention is toTune measurement method, tune measurement apparatus capable of obtaining time-series data of tune from completion of injection of charged particle beam to completion of acceleration, andIt is to provide a circular accelerator system.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A feature of the first invention that achieves the above object is that the charged particle beam circulating in the circular accelerator is applied by applying a high-frequency electromagnetic field having a plurality of frequencies from the completion of the incident of the charged particle beam to the end of the acceleration. It is to increase the betatron oscillation amplitude of the beam, detect the orbital displacement of the charged particle beam whose betatron oscillation amplitude has increased, and calculate the tune of the charged particle beam based on the detected orbital displacement.
Also,Achieve the above objectivesSecondThe invention features a plurality of devicesA circular accelerator system comprising a circular accelerator that circulates a charged particle beam while accelerating the charged particle beam.Charged particle beamFrom the completion of incident to the end of accelerationTune timeSeries dataAnd parameters related to the deviceSeries dataOn the same time axisThe tune measuring device applies a high-frequency electromagnetic field having a plurality of frequencies to the charged particle beam that circulates in the circular accelerator from the completion of incidence of the charged particle beam to the end of acceleration. A high-frequency application electrode for increasing the betatron vibration amplitude of the beam, a position monitor electrode for detecting the orbital displacement of the charged particle beam whose betatron vibration amplitude is increased by application of the high-frequency electromagnetic field, and the position monitor electrode And a signal processing device that calculates the tune of the charged particle beam from the completion of beam incidence to the end of acceleration, based on the orbital displacement detected by theThere is to do.
[0007]
In particular, in the second invention,Tune timeSeries dataAnd parameters related to equipmentSeries dataAre displayed on the same time axis, so that changes in tune can be checked in association with the status of the device, making it easy to determine which device should be controlled at what timing to control the tune. Become. Therefore, control for moving the tune away from the resonance point can be easily performed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

Here, the concept of tune measurement in the present embodiment will be described. When a high-frequency electromagnetic field is applied to the beam, the vibration amplitude of the beam having a tune corresponding to the frequency of the high-frequency electromagnetic field increases. Therefore, the tune of the beam can be known by detecting the increase in the vibration amplitude. The principle is as follows.

[0017]
At this time, in principle, any value may be selected as n, but in reality, if n is small, it is difficult to detect the spectrum due to the influence of noise present at a high level in the low frequency region. Become. On the other hand, if n is large, the change in frequency during beam acceleration increases as shown in FIG. 2B. Therefore, the frequency band at the time of frequency spectrum analysis must be widened. High resolution is required over a wide frequency range. Appropriate n may be set in consideration of the above two points. In this embodiment, n = 2 is set in advance in the
