【従来の技術】
携帯型電話機として、地上波デジタルテレビ放送を受信する機能を備えたテレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機が既に開発されている。この種のテレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機では、携帯型電話機が移動することにより、放送受信エリアが変わった場合、受信可能なチャンネルに関する情報（受信可能チャンネル情報）を取得するために、周波数をスキャンして受信できるチャンネルを探索していくことによって、受信可能チャンネル情報を取得するといった受信可能チャンネル探索処理を実行させる必要がある。

このため、携帯型電話機のユーザは、視聴しているテレビ放送が受信できなくなったときに、時間のかかる受信可能チャンネル探索処理を実行させる必要があり、使い勝手が悪いという問題がある。

この発明は、受信可能チャンネル探索処理の実行回数を低減化させることができ、使い勝手が良くなるテレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機における受信可能チャンネル情報取得方法を提供することを目的とする。

請求項１に記載の発明は、地上波デジタルテレビ放送を受信する機能を備えたテレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機における受信可能チャンネル情報取得方法において、テレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機は、通信している基地局が変わったときに、新しい基地局に受信可能チャンネル情報を要求し、この要求を受けた基地局は、自己が受信可能チャンネル情報を保持している場合には、保持している受信可能チャンネル情報をテレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機に送信し、自己が受信可能チャンネル情報を保持していない場合には、受信可能チャンネル情報を保持していない旨をテレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機に送信し、基地局から受信可能チャンネル情報が送信されてきた場合には、テレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機は、その受信可能チャンネル情報を受信することにより、受信可能チャンネル情報を取得し、基地局から受信可能チャンネル情報を保持していない旨が送信されてきた場合には、テレビ放送受信機能付き携帯型電話機は、受信可能チャンネル探索処理を行うことにより受信可能チャンネル情報を取得するとともに、取得した受信可能チャンネル情報を基地局に送信し、基地局は、受信可能チャンネル情報を受信した場合には、受信した受信可能チャンネル情報を、その基地局が存在する地域に応じた、地上波デジタルテレビ放送の受信可能チャンネル情報として保持することを特徴とする。

以下、図面を参照して、この発明の実施の形態について説明する。

〔１〕第１の実施の形態の説明
第１の実施の形態では、テレビ放送受信機能付き携帯電話機の通信のために用いられる各基地局（中継局）は、その基地局が存在する地域に応じた、地上波デジタルテレビ放送の受信可能チャンネル情報を保持しているものとする。

各基地局がその基地局が存在する地域に応じた受信可能チャンネル情報を取得する方法としては、例えば、次のような方法が考えられる。

各地域毎の受信可能チャンネル情報を保持しているサーバからその基地局が存在する地域に応じた受信可能チャンネル情報を取得する。あるいは、その基地局においてデジタルテレビ放送受信機に実際に受信可能チャンネル探索処理を行わせることにより、その基地局が存在する地域に応じた、地上波デジタルテレビ放送の受信可能チャンネル情報を取得する。
