Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a connector with a cover for a corrugated tube, and more particularly, to prevent damage to an electric wire due to contact with an end edge portion of the corrugated tube.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a connector with a cover for a corrugated tube in which a corrugated tube for protecting an electric wire introduced into the connector housing is attached to the terminal insertion surface side of the connector housing via a cover is often used as an automobile connector. And as such a connector, the thing of patent documents 1 is known, for example.
[0003]
The cylindrical cover in this type of connector includes an uneven holding portion that fits to the outer periphery of the corrugated tube at the end on the electric wire outlet side and holds the corrugated tube in a state of retaining. And the electric wire led out from the corrugated tube is inserted into the cavity of the connector housing through the path in the space in the cover.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-27645
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
FIG. 7 shows the state of the portion where the electric wire W is led out from the end edge 2 a of the corrugated tube 2 attached to the end of the cover 1 inside the conventional cover 1. Here, the electric wire W is introduced into the connector housing through the internal path of the cover 1 while being in contact with the inner periphery of the end edge 2 a of the corrugated tube 2. However, sharp protrusion-like burrs may be generated on the edge 2a of the corrugated tube 2 due to circumstances during molding or cutting. When such a burr exists, if the electric wire W is shaken due to the influence of vibration or the like while the vehicle is running, the electric wire W is exposed to sliding contact with the end edge 2a of the corrugated tube 2, and the electric wire W Insulation may be damaged.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and prevents damage to the electric wire by allowing the electric wire led out from the corrugated tube to be held without contacting the edge of the corrugated tube inside the cover. The challenge is to do.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention provides a connector housing into which a terminal fitting attached to an end of an electric wire is inserted, and an electric wire that is attached to the terminal insertion surface side of the connector housing and is led out from the connector housing. In a connector consisting of a cylindrical cover that covers
The cover is L-shaped with a housing side end and a tube side end, and comprises a pair of halved covers that are combined to form a cylindrical shape. Provided between the end side walls is a locking mechanism that holds the two half covers in a combined state, and a hinge is provided on one side of the housing side end so that the two half covers can be opened and closed.
On the inner peripheral surface of the end portion on the tube side from which the electric wire in the cover is led out, a locking portion is provided that can be fitted in the outer periphery of the corrugated tube and can be attached in a state of preventing the corrugated tube from being detached.
The adjacent position of the locking part on the housing side is formed of a half ring-shaped projecting piece provided around the inner circumference of the two half covers, and the cross section of the contact part with the electric wire has a convex R-surface shape. The path of the electric wire led out from the corrugated tube surrounded by the inner periphery of the annular projecting piece is restricted so as to have a smaller diameter than the inner periphery of the edge of the concave groove of the corrugated tube, and the electric wire is connected to the corrugated tube There is provided a connector with a cover for a corrugated tube, which is provided with an electric wire guide portion that does not come into contact with the end edge portion of the corrugated tube.
[0008]
According to the above configuration, since the route of the electric wire led out from the end edge portion of the corrugated tube in the cover is regulated by the wire guide portion, it does not come into contact with the end edge portion of the corrugated tube. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent damage to the insulating coating due to sliding contact with the edge of the corrugated tube accompanying the vibration of the electric wire.
[0009]
The cover is composed of a pair of halved covers that are combined to form a cylindrical cover, and a lock mechanism is provided between the halved covers to hold the halved covers in a combined state. that make up a half of an annular protrusion which is provided around the inner circumference of the half covers. In this way, after fitting the end of the corrugated tube into one of the half covers and positioning the wire on the inner circumference of the half ring-shaped projecting piece, the other half cover is aligned and fixed together by the lock mechanism By doing so, the corrugated tube and the electric wire can be easily attached. Moreover, since the path | route of an electric wire is controlled by the inner periphery of a cyclic | annular protrusion, when combining a half cover, it can prevent that an electric wire bites into the peripheral part of a cover.
[0010]
Section of the contact portion between the wire in the wire guide portion shall be the R-sectional shape. If comprised in this way, the contact part of the electric wire guide part with respect to the insulation coating of an electric wire will become smoother, and the influence on electric wire coating can be eliminated.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a connector 10 with a cover for a corrugated tube of the present invention, which is derived from a connector housing 11 into which a terminal fitting (not shown) attached to the end of an electric wire W is inserted, and the connector housing 11. The cover 31 covers the electric wire W and holds the end portion of the corrugated tube 21 that is externally mounted on the electric wire W.
[0012]
The connector housing 11 is made of a synthetic resin, and as shown in FIG. 2, includes five cavities 12 for accommodating terminal fittings, and a lock arm 13 for coupling and fixing to the mating connector on the outer surface. Further, a projecting piece 14 for mounting one end of the cover 31 is provided on the terminal insertion surface 11a on the rear surface side of the connector housing 11 (FIG. 4).
[0013]
The corrugated tube 21 is made of a synthetic resin and is used to bundle and protect the five electric wires W led out from the cavity 5 of the connector housing 11. The outer circumferential surface has ridges 21 a and grooves 21 b alternately. It is arranged around and has flexibility. And the edge part 22 hold | maintained at the cover 31 is cut | disconnected by the intermediate part of the ditch | groove 21b (FIG. 4).
[0014]
As is clear from FIG. 1 , the cover 31 is made of a synthetic resin L-shaped cylindrical body having a housing side end 33 attached to the connector housing 11 and a tube side end 34 for holding the corrugated tube 21 . As shown in FIG. 3, the pair is formed of a pair of half-split covers 31a and 31b that are formed into a tubular shape by being united, and via a hinge 32 that protrudes from one side of a housing side end 33 that is attached to the connector housing 11. It is connected so that it can be opened and closed. Between the half covers 31a and 31b, there is provided a lock mechanism that closes both the covers and fixes them in the combined state. This locking mechanism is provided at four locations, on one half cover 31a side, on the side wall opposite to the hinge 32 at the housing side end 33, on both side walls of the tube side end 34 holding the corrugated tube 21 and in the middle A locking claw 35 is provided on the inclined portion toward the outside. The other half cover 31b is provided with a locking frame 36 at a position corresponding to the locking claw 35 to receive and engage the locking claw 35 in the combined state of the half covers 31a and 31b.
[0015]
A fitting groove 33a that engages with the protruding piece 14 of the connector housing 11 is formed on the inner surface of both side walls of the housing side end portion 33 in the half cover 31a, and the protruding piece is positioned above and below the fitting groove 33a. 14 is provided with a backlash projection 33b that fits into a recess 14a provided at the top and bottom of 14. On the other hand, on the inner periphery of the tube side end portion 34 which is the other end of the cover 31, the end portion of the corrugated tube 21 is engaged in correspondence with the concave groove 21 b of the corrugated tube 21 in order to attach the end portion of the corrugated tube 21. Locking portions 37 made up of three half-shaped locking protrusions 37a and 37b project from the half covers 31a and 31b, respectively.
[0016]
Further, at a position closer to the rear side than the locking portion 37, that is, on the housing side , as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the diameter is smaller than the inner diameter D1 of the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21 attached to the locking portion 37. The electric wire guide part 39 which regulates the path | route 38 of the electric wire W which becomes is provided. The electric wire guide portion 39 is composed of half annular projecting pieces 39a and 39b integrally provided from the inner peripheral walls of the half covers 31a and 31b, respectively, and is surrounded by the inner circumference of the annular projecting pieces 39a and 39b. This portion is the path 38 of the electric wire W. That is, the diameter D2 of the path 38 is set to be smaller than the inner diameter D1 of the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21, whereby the electric wire W led out from the corrugated tube 21 to the back of the cover 31 is guided by the electric wire guide portion 39. The state where the electric wire W does not contact the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21 is ensured. Moreover, the cross section of the contact part with the electric wire W in the cyclic | annular protrusions 39a and 39b used as the path | route 38 is made into the R surface shape 39c, as shown in FIG. 5, and the shape which prevents the damage to the insulation coating of the electric wire W is made.
[0017]
Next, the operation of the connector with a cover for a corrugated tube having the above configuration will be described.
As shown in FIG. 4, the terminal fittings attached to the ends of the five electric wires W covered with the corrugated tube 21 are inserted and locked in the corresponding cavities 12 of the connector housing 11. Then, the housing-side end portion 33 of one half cover 31a constituting the cover 31 is engaged and held with the terminal insertion surface side 11a of the connector housing 11, and the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21 is correspondingly engaged. The piece 37a is latched and held. At this time, as shown in FIG. 5, the electric wires W led out from the end edge portion of the corrugated tube 21 are arranged so as to be positioned in the path 38 of the annular projecting piece 39 a of the electric wire guide portion 39. Then, the other half cover 31b is closed and united with the half cover 31a, and is fixed in a closed state by a lock mechanism composed of a locking claw 35 and a locking frame 36.
[0018]
If it is set as the said structure, each electric wire W will be hold | maintained in the cover 31, and the electric wire W derived | led-out from the edge part 22 of the corrugated tube 21 will be in the state guided by the path | route 38 of the electric wire guide part 39. FIG. That is, since the diameter D2 of the path 38 is smaller than the inner diameter D1 of the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21, each electric wire W is arranged without always contacting the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21. Is done. For this reason, even if the electric wire W is shaken due to vibration or the like during traveling of the automobile, it does not come into contact with a cutting burr or the like at the edge 22 of the corrugated tube 21. Therefore, it is possible to prevent damage caused by the insulating coating of the electric wire W being in sliding contact with the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21.
[0019]
In the above-described embodiment, the example in which the wire guide portion 39 is configured by the annular projecting pieces 39a and 39b has been described. However, if the diameter is smaller than the inner diameter D1 of the end edge portion 22 of the corrugated tube 21, the path 38 has a square shape. There may be. Furthermore, the path 38 may be narrowly formed by increasing the thickness of the side wall of the cover 31 of the annular projecting pieces 39a and 39b. Moreover, although the L-shaped and rectangular tube-shaped cover 31 is shown as the cover 31, the present invention can be similarly applied to a straight-type or a cylindrical one. Furthermore, although the ones in which the half covers 31a and 31b are connected by the hinge 32 are shown, they may be separate.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, in the present invention, since the wire guide portion that secures the wire introduction path having a smaller diameter than the inner diameter of the end edge portion of the corrugated tube is provided inside the cover, the electric wire contacts the end edge portion of the corrugated tube. It is possible to reliably prevent the insulation coating from being damaged.
